Designated Ones

Designation 008: Green Lantern (John Stewart)

*This will be occuring during Justice League Unlimited episode, Kid Stuff

It was easy to see that even in his younger state, John was acutely aware of his attraction for the Time Traveling Priestess.

In an unfortunate turn of events from their prior business apprehending a group of super villains from a bank robbery. The League and apparently the rest of the adults on Planet Earth were unceremoniously banished into another realm. Including a one Morgaine Le Fay. Who's son, much to the ire of the Justice League, had apparently gone on a tantrum, stolen a powerful artifact from his Mother and promptly removed all the adults in the world in attempt to rule the earth. It wasn't particularly a unique scenario to the members of the Justice League, but it was definitely a first.

And in an agreement with the surprisingly compliant Morgaine, she had granted them a passage back to Earth's dimension in the frustrating term that they had to all revert back to their younger states to escape the prison.

The team consisted of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, himself and Shikon Miko (Haha I know, uncreative).

Then they encountered another issue, due to the nature of the Miko's powers, the enchantment by the Sorceress would not catch. Instead, with the brainstorming by the Heroine and Sorceress, the later assisted in creating a solution.

Clamped across the wrists of Green Lantern and Miko were black bands that served to mask the woman's aura with that of John's. And in his adolescent stage, it would reflect accordingly on hers as well.

In consequence, the Sorceress was now sufficiently drained. And this would be their only chance, there would be no further backup. And now back on their home dimension, John struggled to keep his emotions to himself as it seemed as though their minds in consequence seemed to be uninhibited to an extent as well.

Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman stood proudly, or as much as their adolescent bodies allowed.

A gasp had the four glancing at their fifth member, the only adult in existence.

Her hands were pressed firmly over the bottom half of her face, but the glittering half-moon blue eyes expressed enough.

Batman rolled his eyes, groaning in his now pre-pubescent, high-pitched tone.

"I can't believe she's the one that got to stay an adult. This better be temporary," The Dark Knight grumbled.

"You sound weird!" Superman pointed, laughing before stopping at his own voice, "I sound weird!"

"I kind of like this," Wonder Woman smiled as she squared her shoulders as they stood higher than the three boys.

Green Lantern, John squinted as he struggled to see clearly.

"What's the matter?" Clark questioned, catching the movement.

"I wore glasses as a kid, guess I need them again," John jerked back as the familiar glow of his powers activated, forming bold and square glasses over his eyes, "Wow! I didn't even try to make these!"

The reaction was instant from the two other males.

Clark smirked and laughed under his breath whereas Bruce looked away pointedly.

"I hope not," he remarked dryly.

A melodious laughter rang around them as Kagome doubled over laughing very clearly at the four. John felt his body immediately freeze and spasm as he looked at the woman that held his attention for so long. Though physically nothing about her differed, in his adolescent mind, his more or less crush on her burned brighter.

"K-Kawaii, all of you guys look just absolutely adorable!" The adult woman squealed, gathering the blushing Diana into her arms. Now that he had less control of his emotions in general, the African American man could not help but blush as his heart swelled as piercing blue eyes flashed over him.

"You were very cute as a child!" Kagome cooed towards the green hero.

John flushed before looking away from the woman to concentrate, admittedly requiring slightly more effort than normal to mold the glasses into a sleaker, darker model.

"Cool," Clark gasped.

"Yes! Very cool," The Priestess agreed as she let her captive slip from her arms.

Diana's arm shot out as it handed a solid whack on the Man of Steel's head, "Will you all stop messing around."

"Say that to her!" They all looked pointedly at the ravenette, catching her mid hand rub to Clark's head. John felt his lip push out involuntarily into a pout.

Kagome raised her hands in amusement.

"We gotta find Mordred," The Princess continued without comment.

"I bet the little punk's in there!" Bruce pointed as he launched into a run towards the daunting castle before them.

Then to Batman's annoyance, Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman flew past him. All of which took the time to glance towards the jogging figure with a smug smirk.

"It's not a race!"

"If you were winning, it would be," the singsong voice of the Japanese woman called from behind him as she maintained a relatively slow jog, for her frame, to keep the hero company.

The boy before her simply growled childishly.
