A/N: This is it, the final chapter. I might do an epilogue if you guys want me to, but otherwise this is goodbye. Thank you for all of the positive reviews. I'm super glad you liked this story.

Thalia and Caine stood side by side in the throne room of Mount Olympus. When Thalia had first decided that Caine would be allowed to accompany her and Artemis, he had tried to act nonchalant. But now that he was standing at the feet of the Gods, he was having a harder time pretending as though he was unperturbed by all of this. Despite his excitement, he was still scanning the crowd for Diana He was so focused on trying to seek her out that he didn't see her until she snuck up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. For a second, he was shocked by her radically different appearance, but he quickly got over it and wrapped her up in his arms. The couple leaned into kiss, but Thalia pulled Caine away by the collar of his shirt.

"I don't want you all over my body, Caine," Thalia said.

"Oh god, this is weird," Diana said, "You're…me."

"Yeah, and you're me. So that means that you should be adhering to a vow of maidenhood," Thalia said.

"You know, you act exactly the way that I imagined you would," Diana laughed.

"I do?" Thalia asked.

"Yeah, you're very authoritative," Diana said. Thalia couldn't tell whether that was supposed to be a compliment or an insult.

"Well, you're actually really different than the way that I imagined you. I thought you would be a lot ditsier," Thalia said.

"Well, I thought that you would keep Caine on the island, so I guess that we were both wrong," Diana said.

"Don't worry, Diana. I didn't try to take over Perdido Beach. She practically had to drag me off the island," Caine lied.

"Yeah, you and your notebook full of plans," Thalia said.

"Shut up," Caine muttered, punching Thalia in the arm.

"Looks like you two became fast friends," Diana said.

Both of Caine and Thalia laughed.

"Come on Diana, you haven't been away that long," Caine said, "You know that I don't really do the whole 'friendship' thing."

"You can say that again," Thalia said, rolling her eyes.

Diana bit down on her lower lip as though she was holding back laughter, but she didn't say anything more on the subject of Caine and Thalia's budding friendship.

"So what about you? Did you get along well with the Hunters?" Thalia asked.

"That's not really how I'd describe it," Diana said.

You didn't let the Hunters kill each other, did you?" Thalia asked.

"No, but Elisa did try to overthrow you by killing me while I was in your body. Oh, and she "accidentally" gave your friend Annalise an extra-large dose of that magical medicine stuff and she didn't make it," Diana said casually.

"How can you say that so casually?!" Thalia wondered.

"It's the FAYZ, you get used to stuff like that," Diana said.

"Like what, people dying?" Thalia asked.

"Yeah," Caine and Diana answered in unison.

Just as Thalia was about to fire back with a witty comeback, she was interrupted by the king of the gods himself: Her dad.

"Thalia Grace! Diana Ladris! Kneel before the king of the gods!" Zeus ordered.

Thalia and Diana did as he said. Zeus pointed at each of the two girls. The room rumbled with thunder and both of them fell unconscious. When they came to, they each woke up in their own body. Thalia ran to Carmen in hopes of getting filled in on exactly what happened while Diana was in charge, while Diana ran over to Caine and started catching up in another way.

"Are they KISSING on Mount Olympus?" Zeus wondered.

"Let them do it, they don't usually don't let their emotions show like this," Aphrodite told him.

Zeus didn't respond, but he didn't stop Caine and Diana from kissing either.

"Did you miss me?" Caine whispered in his Diana's ear.

"No, I just needed somebody to kiss after my brief, but sill traumatizing membership in the Virgins for Life Club," Diana teased.

"Now they've gotten that out of the way, let's begin the vote," Zeus bellowed.

"Vote? What vote?" Diana asked.

Diana's eyes darted throughout the room. The gods all wore the same serious expression. Diana looked over at the Hunters to see if they knew what was going on, but they all looked just as confused as she did. Well , all of them except for Thalia. She looked gravely serious, but Diana had begun to suspect that was just her default setting. Caine's face looked the worst by far. He looked like somebody had kicked his dog, burned down his house, and then told him that he had been voted Failure of the Year.

"We are going to vote whether or not this insolent little girl deserve to live," Zeus bellowed, pointing at Diana.

"I'd like to testify as a character witness!" Caine exclaimed.

"Puny mortal, what do you think this is? One of your courtrooms?" Zeus warned.

"Well, I was hoping I could do something to keep my girlfriend from getting killed!" Caine shouted.

"The best thing that you can do is be quiet and stop arrogantly presuming that your insignificant problems will ever have any influence over the decisions of gods," Zeus said.

Caine was fuming now, but Diana reached out and took his hand. He showed no visible reaction, but he didn't say anything else. In that moment, his silence meant more than a grand gesture ever could. He was putting aside his ego and giving up control for the slim chance that it could keep Diana alive.

"I'll begin," Zeus announced from atop his large platinum throne, "I vote for her to be sentenced death. She is nothing but an irritating girl with no respect for anyone. Hera, what do you say?"

"I want her to live. Everything that you said was true, my love, but without her there's no chance that this destructive, power hungry boy is never going to settle down and have a family," Hera said, gesturing to Caine.

"In the ancient times, I probably would've sentenced her to death, but, unlike my brother Zeus, I've matured," Poseidon said.

"Are you truly only keeping this mortal, who has disrespected all of us by defying my authority, alive to spite me?" Zeus asked.

"Yeah, pretty much," Poseidon said.

"I believe that she should perish. Before the FAYZ she had no respect for her parents, she was rather lazy, and she was hardly a healthy eater. While she seems to be changing her ways, I don't think that she's as dedicated to turning her life around as she claims to be," Demeter said.

Diana wanted to run screaming out of the room. She wanted to bury her face in her hands and cry. She wanted to stand up and explain herself without breaking down or making a snarky remark, but that was the least likely option of them all. She was in a room full of omniscient beings who knew her deepest darkest secrets, which they were using to decide whether she was worthy of living or not. None of them were going to have any sympathy for her, not after everything she had done.

"I say kill her! It's been a while since I've seen a good killing!" Ares exclaimed joyfully.

"I hate to say that I'm agreeing with Ares," Athena said, "But unfortunately I do. She's against almost everything I stand for. She's insulted Astrid Ellison for her intellect numerous times out of simple jealousy. She acts without thinking on a regular basis. Remember the time she chose to follow Caine, even though it would be smarter and safer to stay in Perdido Beach? Still, that's not a reason to punish her with death. The reason I believe in punishing her with death is because she is the third most destructive person in the anomaly that many call the FAYZ, surpassed only by Caine and his former ally Drake. Executing her would be a well-deserved service to the long suffering children trapped under that dome."

Caine had started holding onto Diana in hopes of protecting her. Diana seriously doubted a teenage boy clinging to her would stop ancient gods with unimaginable powers from killing her, but it did made her feel safer regardless.

"Calm down, Athena. She's just a girl, and a very beautiful girl at that," Apollo commented.

The god's last comment made Caine hug Diana even tighter.

"No need for your boyfriend to freak out, I was just kidding. I know it's easy to get jealous of me, but I won't steal your girlfriend. You should be thanking me for keeping her alive. It'll give you something to look forward to before-"

"Pardon my brother," Artemis said, "He's the god of prophecy, but not spoiler alerts. Now, it's time for my vote. Firstly, I find the fact that we are even considering putting this girl to death an insult to not only her, but myself as well. Why would I want to kill the girl who kept my Hunters from ripping each other to shreds?"

"You might say this girl has been bad, but I say she's just broken. Like machines, broken people can be fixed with a little bit of tinkering," Hephaestus said.

"I agree. She's a beautiful girl with a lot of love in her heart, even if she doesn't like to show it. I wouldn't feel right allowing anyone who represents my sphere of influence so perfect to die be put to death for a crime as small as bruising your ego, Zeus," Aphrodite said.

"I'm not voting to kill you either Diana. Also, sorry that my daughter tried to kill you. I'd just like to make it clear that I had no part in that," Hermes said.

"Yeah, what are you gonna do with Elisa, sis?" Apollo wondered.

Artemis shot a nervous glance at Hermes before looking down at Elisa, who being restrained the Hunters of Artemis.

"We'll get to that when come to it. Dionysus still has to vote," Zeus said.

"No I don't! Even if I did care what happened to the little brat, it wouldn't matter. My vote wouldn't change anything, she already has the majority!" Dionysus said.

"Then I guess that we do have to move on to the matter of Elisa's punishment," Artemis said. She thought for a while before making her final decision, "She will be stripped of her immortality and sent to Camp Half Blood, where'll she will hopefully learn the importance of the group over the individual."

"Maybe I need to send you to Camp Half Blood," Diana teased Caine.

"No way. I've been away from you for too long already," Caine said, "Let's get back to that island."
