Welcome to the bonus chapter - enjoy!

"Fucking bugger!" John swore loudly as he stormed through the door.

From his where he lay on the couch, Sherlock could see that whatever had upset John it was no trivial matter.

In an unusually careless manner the doctor dragged his coat from his shoulders, scattering snow all across the hall floor, oblivious to the slip hazard it would cause Mrs Hudson as it melted.

Eyeing the smaller man carefully, Sherlock was on his feet in one smooth.

"What did he do?"

"What did who do?" distracted, John was staring at the kettle, not realising he hadn't switched it on.

"Mycroft of course."

John rolled his eyes.

"The git insisted I get in his car so he could tell me about some case or other that he has for you, then drops me in the middle of Euston Road so he can bugger off to an embassy dinner."

"So you walked home. Why didn't you get a cab?"

"Didn't have my cab magnet with me!" John smiled ruefully

A sudden thought lit Sherlock's eyes and he hurried from the room.

"Embassy dinner did you say?" he called from the bedroom. "Get your coat we're going out."

"Why?"

"Remember my snowman experiment?" Sherlock asked, returning with a sheet in his hand. "We're going to Knightsbridge, to leave a gift for my brother!"

My thanks to Ennui Enigma for suggesting that Sherlock might well do this...
