EPILOG
The Greensboro South Carolina Morning Herald is not the New York Ledger but it is definitely the paper everyone in the region looks to for their news. Most days the paper is filled with local interest stories.
Tales about the local sports teams or sometimes the banner headline covers how the local college's cheer squad did in the national competition. Last year they were fourth but this year they came in second.
But today the paper contains sad news that several of the locals had been discussing. The ladies were talking down at Betty's Beauty Shop and the men had brought up during a wild game of checkers over at Lander's Mercantile.
It had to do with the town's most famous residents. It was about the people who had come to this community and became part of everyday life
The headline reads:
Locals Mourn Famous Resident
