Hey guys! Yup, it's me, the lazy HazyDaisy.

Since Chapter 4 of the story; Claws, Fangs, Tempers and Hearts – is still less than half-way finished, I thought you people could nibble on this little one-shot of mine.

I don't know if you could call it a poem – but this piece is a fruit of my boredom….

This is also my first time on making anything like this so… Be up front and honest – tell me what you think, I certainly don't mind.

This weeks' homework was to write a poem about contrasts/opposites, so…. This piece here will be what I'll be turning in. (Hee hee, my teacher's probably going to think I'm a real goner)

Enough of my blabber – remember – I could use some constructive criticism… On the other hand – Motto: Don't make me cry ok? ^_^

The One Thing they Shared

She was a beauty – he was a beast.

If he was supreme darkness – she was ultimate light.

She was a pure angel of illumination.

He was a vile demon of the shadows…

So evil – hell

So cold – ice

So fearsome – charred, fiery battlefields, destroying anything – everything that got in the way of his path…

How could a creature, so sinful – posses feelings …even love… for human?

But he did.

Dressed in white.

Silver, ivory, hair…

So angelic – heavenly

So warm – butterfly

So pure – like a quiet flow of river in the forest, loving and nourishing those who came in contact…

Apparently, an angel like her, so untainted – should detest and fear such a creature – even hate them

But she didn't.

Dressed in happiness,

Black, ebony, hair…

The worse – and best – of opposites.

Closely entwined together.

Like day was to night,

And as moon was to the sun.

She was freedom after bondage – a drop of truth that could purify an ocean of lies.

He was poison to a wound, a steam of toxic evil that could transform lush continents into ashen wastelands…

She was his strength that followed his weakness.

She was his weakness – a weakness that amplified his strength.

Sunlight warmth on the snow…

Snow so beautiful and calm, clad over the earth.

How could something as calm and as glorious as snow – be so destructive?

Sesshoumaru.

Moonlight's chill on a bright, warm lily…

Such simple, yet unmatched beauty, receiving small, white wisps of snow on its petals…

How could such simplicity, vulnerability – be so resilient as to successfully break down every defensive barrier of isolation in his heart?

Rin.

Such opposites, yet one couldn't be without the other.

The one thing they shared –

Was not how she was like the heart, giving vital life and energy…

Not on how he lived on that energy, but also protected it fiercely in return.

No…

That was symbiosis.

The one thing they shared –

Was not on why a human woman would want to stick by a demons' side for life.

Not on how, or why he wanted her to be by his side.

No…

That was reasoning.

The one thing they shared –

Was the undying love that defied time…

Love so bright – not even the underworld's darkness could bear to even witness .

Love so strong – that remained even when everything was said and done.

Love – that's what they shared.

It bound their conflicting worlds together…

Entwining them through all eternity…

…..^…..^…..^…..

How did it go? Passing grade for homework or – failing?

Like I said it's a fruit of my boredom…..

Thanks for reading!
