Fernicius is one of the scientists working at the Aphos wing under the command of Emphisa. He is a talented Quintesson specialized in the creation of robotic systems, especially in regards to their 'software' architecture. His stance on the events around Cybertron is one of mild apathy. He does not really hold an opinion on the matter because it has been ages ago. He sometimes wonders about the rights as sentient beings that might or might not apply to the 'Cybertronians' but that is about as far as he allows his mind to take him. He is Quintesson, after all, and the matter is inevitably about rogue products.

In his earlier years, Fernicius worked as a pilot on several Quintesson Empire trading routes. These routes have taken him across the universe and let him experience many different cultures. But his application to join the Quintessa-based science division was eventually accepted, and with his transferal to Khalanxis he soon learned that a vast worldview has no place in the strict Quintesson Society. Adaption to the totalitarian lifestyle was done out of survival instinct, but still he is often seen as eccentric and strange. He can't resist to reminisce and tell stories within the safety of the Aphos wing laboratories. Emphisa is one of the few Quintessons who puts up with him in favor of his skills in coding.

Fernicius strives to reap recognition and respect from his colleagues where he can, and tries not to think too much about the life without strict rules, tight security protocols and with the freedom of speech. The Empire is prosperous, it is not his place to want more.
