A/N: Hello, thank you to those who have enjoyed my story so far. This is the final chapter. I kind of wanted to do a last little snippet of them revealing their relationship at school. I don't know if I will continue it since there's no plot. I will, however, like I mentioned in the previous chapter, I might include an extra chapter with a time skip on how Natsu and Lucy are doing on their relationship. Maybe... Thank you again! See ya soon. -Rin

On the last day of school, we arrived late to class because we were kissing in the school parking lot. We each waited to be late in separate times. We were together but it was not obvious at school. We wanted to avoid any conflict. Even though Gray was already all googly eyes for his Ice Princess. Lisanna and her siblings had left school earlier this week since their family was going to Paris as Mira and Elfman's graduation present.

After the first class, I was walking to my next class when I notice a girl holding a pink note. I looked back as she walked towards Natsu who was getting something out from his locker.

"Natsu, please accept my letter." She yelled out loud and held her arms out. A few people overhearing.

"I'm sorry I can't accept that." He was embarrassed for me.

"Why not?!"

"That's a personal question." He said sternly. He was obviously upset at this girl's boldness.

"I know you're not dating anyone." She was upset now. "Is it that slut Lucy? Are you still hung over that skank?"

"What the hell is your problem?!" He spat.

Oh that freaking girl. She's lucky I don't want to cause a commotion cus I'd have her little brown hair in my fists!

"You do not get to speak about my Lucy that way." He was angry now.

My Lucy. Oh my gosh.

"I don't hit girls so it'd be best you get out of my sight right now before I let you talk bad about my girlfriend!"

Geez, this dang fire demon can't control his emotions.

"That's right. She's my girlfriend and if any of you have a problem you're going to have to get through me!" He looked at everyone around us and stomped towards me. Everyone around us was watching now.

Flames are coming out of your mouth you silly boy. Good job.I giggled in my head. That was the first time I had seen him get so upset like that.

"Let's go!" He grabbed my hand angrily and we walked away.

Levy overheard everything and smiled at me as we walked past her. She motioned at her phone so I can text her all about it later. I smirked at her in acknowledgment.

Natsu met me after class and we walked to lunch together hand in hand. It was strange to be seen but no one really cared and that was very reassuring. We sat next to each other.

"I'll trade you my milk for your juice?" I asked him.

"Sure." He mumbled with a mouthful of pizza.

"You have pizza sauce all on your face. Why can't you eat like a normal person?" I wiped his face and he grinned.

"I love pizza." He stuck his finger in his pizza and rubbed sauce on my nose. "Look who's the dirty one now."

"Oh Natsu!" I wiped the sauce off my nose.

"My have the roles have reversed, you annoying love birds." Levy stuck her tongue out. she and Gajeel sat in front of us.

"You know somehow I always pictured you too together. Even before I caught you in action." Gajeel joined.

"Well gee, thanks cousin." Natsu grinned.

"Don't call me that here. I dont want to get involved with the likes of you."

"Then why are you here?" He pointed at him with his bitten pizza.

"Because our girlfriends are best friends. But that doesn't mean I'm your friend." He moved his face away from Natsu's pizza.

"Sure." Natsu stuffed the rest of the pizza in his mouth.

"Levy should we leave? I feel like we're interrupting something here." I laughed.

"We weren't invited to the family reunion." She chimed.

We both burst into laughter. Natsu and Gajeel completely lost at our stupid joke.

It felt nice for things to be like this. I took a bit out of my pizza happily as Natsu had his arm on my shoulder. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot Gray sitting with Juvia. He was sitting next to her smiling, his arm around her waist. She turned to look at him and for the first time I seen her smile. She was truly radiant. He kissed her forehead and they continued chatting about.

I was truly happy for him. I could see that he was more delicate with her and he was happier too. I looked away and stared at Natsu who was lost in conversation with Gajeel. I sat there for a few seconds admiring him.

I wondered if I had done things differently at that party. If I had stopped myself before kissing him and going all the way. If I had given myself time to figure out why he pulled me towards him. If he had perhaps gave himself time to process why he pulled me in himself. If we had talked first and figured out our feelings and avoided having to hurt others. Maybe if I had been honest of the crush I've always had on him. From what he tells me, he too had a big crush on me in middle school but never acted on it. If we had been more honest things wouldn't have gone the way they did.

Sometimes life gives you chances to make decisions for the better but often we don't take advantage of the situation and make mistakes because of it. We let our hearts do the talking and forget all about logic. On the topic of logic and love, it is love who reigns supreme. Humans are curious by nature and love is such a complex emotion that we often get too lost in trying to understand it. But we have to learn to control ourselves and our impulses and try to live life without regrets and make better choices.

"Hey, earth to Lucy!" Natsu called out.

"Huh?" I replied dreamily.

"You ready to go?"

"Yeah." I grabbed his face with my hands and kissed him.

"What was that?" He was dumbfounded at my random affection.

"Oh, nothing." I grinned and ran away in laughter.

"You get back here!" He ran after me and hugged me from behind.
