I'mtryingimtryingimtryingimtrying im so sorry im really really trying, I'll focus on these two now and AS SOON as I wrap one of them up, ILL GET BACK TO LOST II; I need to go talk to my pal about that one

Donnie

"Charlie."

"Mh?" Her eyes snapped back to reality. "Oh, uh, sorry." She smiled a little. "Zoned out. This place looks different… In the sunset, I mean."

"Or when you're not completely h-"

"Maybeck."

I laughed. "Last names now, eh? Lockhart."

She smiled, looking out over the cliff. We were, once again, seated on the hood of my ancient red mustang, staring over the cliff from the other night. In the quickly vanishing light, you could see for miles; the towns, the houses, the swamps. The pink sky behind it all.

"Last names are more fitting for delinquents like you."

"I'm a delinquent now?"

"Yes, you are."

"What'd I do?"

"Impressed my older sister more than I've impressed her."

I laughed.

"I left a good impression, huh?"

"Yes you did." She shook her head. "Something tells me you're good at that."

I shrugged. "Not usually. You don't usually show up to a girl's house with her half-passed out and leave a good impression."

"Manda just knows. Manda's good at that, knowing if you're telling the truth. It's… killer." She laughed. She was gorgeous when she laughed, really. Could make a guy fall in love with only a smile. She's got looks to break hearts. But she wasn't all too interested in me, I could tell… and yeah, she was interesting, but I'm not gonna fall for someone based on looks.

"Must be…" I sighed. "Is it nice, living with her?" I'm not sure where the question came from.

"Yeah. You know, it really is. How 'bout your aunt Jelly? Is that nice? Running crazy glaze, and all."

I nodded. "Yeah, isn't bad at all."

"Donnie, why'd you ask?"

"Because. I dunno. It's such a different life than I'm used to. Yours, I mean. Given, there are similar aspects, but… I mean it's crazy how everything winds up. You know?"

She laughed. "I get it. But you're strange."

"I just ask the hard-hitting questions." I chuckled.

"Mhm, sure."

"Oh, I'm sorry, would you rather…" I went cross-eyed and did my best 'jock' impression; "Wow Charlie such blonde hair. Such nice butt. Such nice voice. Me should date you."

She laughed, and pushed my shoulder. "Oh, shut up. I'm sure you'd rather the brainless blonde bimbo act."

"What makes you think that?" I smirked.

"It's all that all guys want."

"That's quite the generalization."

She shrugged. "Tell me it's not true."

"It's not. Not for me."

She just shrugged again.

"Something tells me you've had a rough time with guys."

"What gave it away?" She laughed.

I sighed, staring at the sky for a while. The stars were beautiful tonight, but I don't remember it getting dark. We'd been here for hours, apparently…

In the distance, music mixed with the sounds of teenage shouts and a struggling car motor faded in, and then out, as they drove away.

"So, I'm guessing, no more parties for you?" I laughed.

"As if. I thrive off the excitement. Remember, I'm going nowhere? This is going to be the peak of my life, before I royally screw something up and work in an office for minimum wage because I'm too dumb and too poor for college."

I looked at her, truly baffled. For her to just blatantly say that..? I mean, I'm not an optimist, but this girl took pessimism to a whole new level.

"Charlie, you're a smart and talented girl, you're not going to get stuck doing anything you don't want to."

She seemed to not hear me.

"Enough about me. It's getting dark. Let's go catch a movie or something. Or go to universal. Ride a rollercoaster."

I was still so shocked from the previous statement, all I could do was nod.

"Alright, fine." She whispered, rolling off the hood of the car and sliding into the passenger's seat.

I couldn't shake the feeling that this girl had accidentally just spilled her biggest fear to me.

"Must be the goddamn cliff." I grumbled, making my way into the driver's seat.

Finn

"Charlie's out with Donnie?"

"Yeah." Amanda whispered back. She had Willa in her arms, holding her under her butt with the little girl's legs wrapped around her. She was fast asleep.

"Phil's even too big for that. How is she so tiny?"

"I don't know." She smiled. I smiled back at her. "I'll put her to bed. Then we'll watch a movie. I'm so sorry we had to stay here tonight, Finn, I totally forgot to ask Charlie to babysit."

"Hey. I don't mind. As long as I'm with you."

Amanda smiled, this adorable little smile, and went off to put Willa to bed. I threw some popcorn into the microwave and went to the movie drawer. I chuckled. Disney, Disney, Disney. I laughed as I found a copy of Tangled, with "Finn" clearly written in one of the sisters' handwriting next to Flynn Ryder's face, to have a joke at Amanda. Finally, I found Thor, and decided that'd be good enough for a re-watch.

"Pick a movie?" Amanda whispered, popping a piece of popcorn into her mouth.

"Thor. You know, my biography."

"Suuuure." She chuckled. She sat, and I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her closer. She rested her head against me. "With those big, squishy... Thor muscles."

I laughed. "I'd go with 'decent-sized, rock hard' muscles."

She shook her head, laughing. But as the movie went on, I realized Amanda was laying impossibly still. Her breathing evened out. Her hand fell limp in mine. She was fast asleep. And it was adorable. We stayed like that for a half hour before she began to stir.

"Finn?" Her sleepy voice mumbled. "Oh… my god, I'm so sorry…"

"For what?" I laughed. "You're freaking adorable."

She smirked at me, and, very slowly, closed the gap between us.

It blew me away.

It wasn't anything fiery, or anything like that. But it was Amanda, sleepily kissing me. So tired she couldn't keep the smile off her face or hold back the giggles, and it was absolutely the best thing I've ever experienced.

"EW."

Amanda groaned. She separated from me, and put her face in her hands.

"Charlie, if Willa, or Jess, even, were to walk in on that, I'd expect the 'ew'. Really. And I wouldn't mind it." She sighed. I chuckled. "But you're sixteen years old, and you're a practical adult, and you're ruining my life."

Charlene laughed and winked at me. "True, but it's fun."

"Don't wink at my boyfriend." Amanda laughed. "You winking at boys practically kills them."

"Oh, please, your little Prince Perfect isn't even in my league."

"Charlie!" Amanda shrieked. I laughed.

"I'd say a much higher league." I flexed my muscles, grinning. Charlene rolled her eyes.

"Oh, honey, we just went over this." Amanda chuckled. "Don't flex what's not there."

The younger Lockhart could not contain her laughter at this point.

"Ouch." I smiled. "I'll remember that one. You know, I was thinking of taking you to a steakhouse this weekend. I might have to downgrade to a beach picnic."

"Oh, no." She smirked, as we kissed again.

"Oookay, I'm going to bed." Charlie laughed.
