Mother, do other people have powers like me?
Nobody in the world is quite like you, darling. You are a magical drop of golden sunlight that fell to the ground from the heavens. That sunlight in your soul is what gives you your powers. Ordinary people are not made from sunlight. They are made from the clay of the earth, and are no more magical than the dirt in your flower pots. Clay can do many great things and take many beautiful forms, but only the sun can bring life.
Your books may sometimes mention wizards, or other people with powers. While these people are common in stories, I've never met such a person in all my time on this earth. People claiming to have such powers are often revealed as charlatans, pretending at magic the way a candle tries to mimic the sun. I'm sure many people wish they could be like you. But you, my little flower, are unique.
