Well, fuck. It's been two years, four months and 21 days since I touched this story. And somehow, I'm STILL getting followers, favourites and reviews. You lot are waaaayyy too nice and supportive. I'm holding onto my words though; no matter how long it is between updates, I'm not leaving this story unfinished. Since it's been such a long time, I think my writing style will have changed. I just hope it's a good change. Enjoy xx

Izaya Orihara's Point Of View

Ah, the questions. I look up from my bowl, and out of the corner of my eye, spot the Alphas' ears pricking up. Nuh-uh-uh, not for you to know, boys.

"Come with me for a minute, Mikado-kun. We'll be back soon, you two, just continue eating~" I get up from the table, and after blinking in surprise for a few moments, he follows my request. I wave over my shoulder at the two still at the table as I turn away, towards the back of the shop. Mikado follows me, looking back every so often to our table.

Eventually, we come to be in front of the restroom. I motion for Mikado to follow me inside, and as I go to open the door, someone leaves. We wait for the stranger to pass, then head inside. It's surprisingly clean for a men's room. I check to make sure all the stalls are vacant and no one else is here to hear the conversation, then I turn the lock on the door we just came in, preventing anyone else from coming in after us.

"What is it you want to ask?" The teenager fidgets, sighs, then replies. "A few things. You know far more than I do about what we are and how to deal with it. If I am pregnant, what can I do? I'm still attending Raira; people will notice if I just suddenly start gaining weight, or even taking time off from my classes if I test negative when we get our results back next week from Shinra-san. Also…" He pauses, then appears to gather his confidence. "I also want to know if there is a way to keep Masaomi from straying away from me. I'm pretty sure the reason he's so interested in me as a potential partner now is just because he found out I'm an Omega and the pheromones got to him. Otherwise, as far as I've seen, he's only interested in girls."

This may take longer than I thought. "So, first, you were wondering how I dealt with heats while I was still in school?" He nods. "Yes." "The black market has a lot of useful items. Scent blockers in particular are very effective, same with the inhibitors." A confused glance comes my way, followed by "I-inhibitors? Aren't they used by elderly Omegas who no-longer want to have children, so they become infertile by using inhibitors? A-and that infertility means that they no longer have heats?"

Smart boy, he's done some research at least. "For normal, female Omegas, you're quite correct. However, for us males, when we're young, instead of making our heats stop completely, they just shorten the lengths of the heat. So, instead of it lasting, say five or six days, the heat will instead last two or three days, meaning that they can take place over a weekend, if the user so wishes." He starts looking up at me hopefully, thinking he had his solution.

"Don't get too excited; I never used them, because the continued and excessive use of them does make you infertile. I used the scent blockers, which block off your pheromones, hence, there was no smell given off, so when at school no-one could tell that I wasn't just 'feverish' when I went to the nurse's office, or I just took the time off when I felt no need to be there. The classes were not mentally taxing, so I studied the course myself at home, meaning I could come and go from classes as I pleased."

I stretch for a second, popping my back and shoulders, moving my neck from side to side as I continue in a bored manner. "As for the pregnancy business, I highly doubt you'll test negative, so I'd recommend taking the online courses Raira has; the ones for students who are seriously ill or in hospital; they'll still count as if you're attending school, and all you'll have to do is the final exams."

Mikado grimaces, then appears to come to a conclusion, running a hand through his hair in distress. "I'll stay at school for now then, until it starts to show that something's different. How and where can I get access to the blockers then?" I wave him off. "I still have an account from when I was your age and I was ordering them. It's under a woman's name, to an address I don't live at, but I do own. I'll just start ordering them again, and you can just pay me when I've passed them onto you."

He looks like he's going to collapse- you really need to up your stamina, Mikado~ "Thank you, Izaya-san." He bows, then waits for a moment before looking at me again. "Forgive me for saying this, but you aren't the type to do something that won't benefit you somehow. So why help me? Not that I'm ungrateful, or anything!" He hurriedly continues, hands waving in front of him to try and dissuade any negative opinion of his words.

I grin at him and cross my arms, rocking back and forwards on my heels. "It's simple really; if you get found out, our identities are compromised. At the minute, we are little more than folktales, not unlike the black biker. If you were to get caught somehow, and studies were carried out on you, our kind would not be able to live in relative peace anymore. Plus, you and Kida-kun are another, if not rarer, aspect of humans that I can watch over, so it's both entertaining and intriguing."

He nods, able to understand my point and hobbies. He looks deep in his thoughts, so I interrupt them. "Oh yeah, as for Kida-kun, I wouldn't so much as worry about him straying on his own as I would be about him being, say, stolen from you." The teen tilts his head in confusion. I light-heartedly continue. "After all, Kida-kun used to have a girlfriend, and I can easily imagine her returning and getting in the way at some point." Mikado's frozen, he looks petrified, haha~

Shaking his head, he lowly utters "H-he never told me about any girlfriend before I moved to Ikebukuro..." "I wouldn't have expected him to. She got sent to the hospital a long time ago, and he felt responsible for it, so he's been avoiding her for as long as she's been incapacitated. However, if I'm right, she should be able to move around soon, because her injuries aren't serious enough to warrant her not being able to leave her bed. If she wanted to, she would be very likely to seek out Kida-kun and convince him to stay with her."

Mikado looks up at me, determination in his eyes and teeth grinding. "What is her name?" I want to grin, but I'm a professional, so I don't. "Saki Mikajima." "I see. That's all the questions I have for now, thank you Orihara-san. We should head back to the table now; the food will be getting cold." "Ah, you're right, let's go~"

I undo the lock on the door, and we both leave, myself slightly skipping, and Mikado with clenched hands at his sides. When we are approaching the table, he brings up a calm façade, hands relaxing and smiling serenely. We nod at our companions across the table and return to eating as if we'd never left, despite the questioning looks sent our way from across the table.

Shizu-chan says and does nothing, however Kida-kun lightly pats Mikado's hand as the blue-eyed teen reaches for his drink, a raised eyebrow effectively conveying his silent question. The black-haired teen looks back at him in a bemused manner, smiles, and then continues to take a sip of his drink. Kida-kun frowns, but gives up, returning to his meal.

I smirk into my cup. Teenagers and their drama, oh how fun the coming months shall be~!

There you go guys, it was also longer than the last chapter, like I promised. I hope you continue to support my writing, no matter how long it takes between uploads; exams are not nice, and they don't leave a lot of time for writing, or sleeping for that matter. Oh, and also thank you Iloveyaoiiiin particular. The messages you sent me were very sweet and put a smile on my face while I was writing this chapter. Leave behind your thoughts and opinions, I hope to hear from you all next time xx
