Epilogue

Six Weeks Later

"No, Mathias! I won't keep quiet any longer!" Massiah yelled at his twin.

"You're suppose to be the quiet twin! Just listen to dad and listen to what he wants! We can't tell Madison how he is really feeling. That would be a betrayal of his trust." Mathias growled at his younger twin.

"No. What is a betrayal is that we are letting two people who love each other stay apart over some stupid misunderstanding that happened between them; and because neither one is willing to say sorry or talk to the other first then they are both miserable!" Massiah growled back, and then he stomped into Madison's home without knocking.

"Maddie!" Massiah yelled at for his stepmother as his brother walked in behind him, preparing to stop him if he had to.

"Massiah, you're just going to make things worse between them!" Mathias sighed in frustration as he walked over to his brother feeling like he wanted to drag him out of the house if needs be.

"Make what worse?" Maddie suddenly appeared with a slight smile on her face, looking at the two boys who reminded her so much of Benjamin.

"Madison, we need to talk about you and my father. You're both miserable without each other. I don't know why you can't just both stop been so stubborn and let your silly arguments go!" Massiah yelled at her.

"He lied to me."

"He didn't make love to our mom! He fucked her and then left her, Madison! He didn't love her and he didn't want to just fuck you and then leave you! He didn't want to use you in that way, Madison so until he fully trusted you he wouldn't make love to you!" Massiah yelled at his stepmother, determined to get past her stubborn streak and get her back with his father.

"It's the truth." Mathias agreed, seeing the barrier dropping from Madison's eyes as she began to look rather puzzled.

"Why didn't he just say that before?" She asked the boys, looking more confused than ever.

"Because back then he used women, he doesn't want you to know him as that kind of person, Maddie. He doesn't want you to know him as the him he was before he met you." Massiah said more softly, looking a little guilty now.

"I think I need to talk to him." Madison breathed, smiling at the boys, "Thank you."

"So it was just a misunderstanding?" Mary appeared in the doorway, she had been spending a lot of time with Madison over the past weeks.

"Yes, and Leo too. All of this bullshit with him has to stop." Mathias spoke, having made friends with Leo, it was easy to see that he was now defending his friend.

"Excuse me?" Mary looked a little shocked.

"Oh, come on. You were both stressed because of the war, you were both assholes to each other. He hurt you, but you hurt him when you said you didn't think you wanted to be a vampire. To him that was like going back on a vow to him, because he wanted to spend eternity with you." Mathias explained, "I know he still does."

"I still want to spend forever with him too." Mary smiled slightly, venom tears forming in her eyes.

"Then we both need to get our asses around to our soulmates and stop been so stubborn." Madison laughed as she placed her arm on her sister's shoulders.

"Agreed." Mary grinned, "Besides, it's not just about living forever."

"It's about living with yourself forever." Madison smiled at their favourite quote, and then took a step forward into her forever. Into their forever...
