For those of you who wanted an explanation of which paper is which character:
The person this story is directed at is Vlad, tossing aside his chances as though they meant nothing. Each paper represents another person who trusted Vlad at first and who gave him chance after chance.
The paper with the wrinkle in the top corner is Jack, because of one mistake he was cast aside.
The paper that was not intended for what he wanted it for was Danny. Danny had no intention of joining Vlad or becoming evil, but Vlad continued to try anyway, thus ruining his chance at having a friendship with Danny.
The paper with a line drawn on it was Maddie. The line represents the fact that this paper has already been drawn on, aka Maddie already being married. As Vlad tried to erase this line, he ripped the paper, or the trust that he could have had to at least save a friendship with her.
The paper that was like the first paper, that was not for what he wished it was, is Jazz. She clearly would have at least held some kind of respect for him had he not been an evil halfa wish a desire to date her mom (eww.)
The paper that is overlooked, that never meant anything anyway, is Valerie. Valerie clearly trusted Vlad and viewed him as a friend before discovering that he betrayed her trust. He did not care about what his actions would do to her conscience, he simply used her and then cast her aside (by trying to kill her when she tried to stop him from hurting Danielle.)
The final paper, the best paper out of the stack that was discarded simply for being the wrong color, represents Danielle. She could have been the best chance he ever had at love in his life, and yet simply because she was a female instead of a male, he completely forgot her. She was not enough for him, she would not do.
It actually takes a tree 20 years to grow enough to make paper from it.
It also took about 20 years for Vlad to forge these trusts, especially among Jack and Maddie.
Let Vlad Masters be a lesson to all of you guys: A tree is an amazing and rare thing. Don't waste it once you have it.
