Prologue

It was the day of the funeral. Two people were to be buried today side by side in the academies burial ground. All their friends were gathered around wearing black and feeling guilty for not being able to help much. The thing about all of this was that it happened so fast and that everything was over and done so soon that there wasn't any time to think about it or find any other options. This had hit everyone hard and since the two weeks since then, everyone had gone their separate ways. Tsubaki and Black Star had moved out of Death city and everyone had completely cut all contact with Stein.

Their friends were saying their last goodbyes. In the words of Black Star; Maka was the woman that was the closest to surpass god too, she was a great friend and one of the strongest people that he knew. Soul on the other hand; was his best friend. They would always laugh together and help each other out, they were basically brothers and would never be forgotten. Black Star had deeper feeling about this but couldn't muster the right words for losing his best friend and Maka. There was so much to say but no words could describe his feeling. He stepped down and let Tsubaki go next.

There were tears running down her face but she needed to finally let this out. "Maka was my best friend, we were always there for each other for anything and deep down all she wanted to do was to never fail at anything and protect her friends. She dreamed of being with us (all her friends) forever and watch as our relationships grew. She once told me of how she could no longer wait for the future and her yearning to start a family with the guy that she had a crush on since they first made eye contact. Maka was a wonderful, kind and inspiring person" These were the last words that she could say before fully breaking down. Black Star held her hand as she stepped down. It seemed that almost everyone was crying and they needed a short break. This was exhausting and everyone's emotions were running wild.

Spirit was silently crying as he heard the last of what Tsubaki had said, he too wanted to see his little girl grow and have children. She would surely have the cutest children with Soul, he could see it know. A little girl and a little boy with olive green and crimson eyes like their parents with blond hair and pale skin. They would have been the cutest little grandkids imaginable. Then he remembered why it couldn't happen.

Stein. Spirit and Steins relationship changed greatly. They were best friends prior to this but not anymore. Not since he was the one responsible for the death of his daughter. His little angle was dead, and there was nothing he could do to bring her back. At the end her Papa wasn't able to protect her and this is what got to him the most. Knowing that when she was examined in the mortuary, she would have been able to survive if only Stein hadn't lost it.

After the short break everyone was ready to let the last people speak. If anybody could describe the fallen meister and weapon, it was Crona. Crona as the person who was rescued from the darkness by the meister then befriended and taken in as family and accepted by the weapon. Crona took a deep breath then spoke with a fragile yet gentle voice. "Maka was like my older sister, always looking after me and protecting me. She taught me the meaning of friendship and showed me that the world wasn't such a bad place. Not only was this young woman strong but brave and courageous too. She was beautiful and kind. I remember that when I was first brought to Death City and was put into one of the dark rooms under the school, Maka would visit me every day and make me feel better. She would always comfort not just me but everyone and cheer us up and Soul would support everything she did. He would drag both of us out to play basketball with everyone and go along with everything she wanted to do. He was wonderful and with her, they were an invincible team but they're in a better place now. Maka's probably reading a book and Soul is resting his head on her lap sleeping but let's remember something, their legacy. Maka the one who defeated the kishin and Soul. The loyal weapon that stood by her side and always took the hits for her during battles. These are true heroes and will never be forgotten." Crona stepped back now, it was time to lower both of their caskets.

Patty made her friends giraffes and threw them in, Tsubaki and Black Star white roses, Kid and Liz a picture of the whole gang together happy and smiling. Finally Spirit gently placed the meisters favorite book on his angel. They were now going to be lowered down.

Two graves so together that they were one. Never to be separated and never to be gone, forever they will be remembered, shone together like the moon in the sky. Long after that day it is said that every time anybody visit that cemetery, you will feel as if two angels are watching over you, protecting this city and watching over it all. The angels with Black Wings.

THE END.
