Hey guys! SO I just wanted to say that I finally have inspiration back! Yes, after so many years a commenter has given me the will to write once more. So thank you to everyone who supported me and never let me forget about this story 3
It's been ten years since the fateful encounter between Petunia Dursley, now Evans, and the young Mr. Harry Potter, now Pegasus, and everything in their lives have truly started to change for the better. Now the two, three along with Petunia's son Dudley Dursley who Petunia successfully attained custody of during her divorce, live on the amazing island of Duelist Kingdom owned by Maximillian Pegasus, Petunia and Lily's brother who adopted Harry at the age of one. Currently, the two boys were playing their favorite card game as they waited for Petunia to call them up for Harry's birthday dinner
"I summon Dark Break and use him to attack your Amarylease" Shouts Dudley as he places his cards down. They were playing a rather popular game created by their father, or father figure in Dudley's case, called duel monsters. This also happened to be their favorite game and the very thing that made them so close in the first place. Both had now gotten down to their last three-hundred life points and, for the two of them, it was an intense battle to see who will come out victorious. "Now go Dark Blade!"
"Not so fast." Harry interrupts with a small smirk. "I play my trap card Battle Break. Now the attacks negated leaving you with no monsters able to attack. Maybe you should've thought that through a bit more 'big D'."
At this point Dudley knew he was in for it. Harry never called him by that absurd nickname unless he thought he could win and, with only one monster card on his field and no face downs, he most likely could. Harry was the best dueler he knew after all.
"Now I summon my Battlin' Boxer Big Bandage" Harry says with much less enthusiasm than Dudley. Harry was always a calm duelist and preferred to be the level-headed one. It was a very convenient system for the two when dueling together. Dudley, the rash one of the two who preferred to jump into things head first, would be the intimidation factor and draw attention away from Harry, the sly and cunning one of the two, who tended to be the true mastermind of their plans and schemes.
"Guess you didn't have any monsters stronger than min. Eh Harry?" Dudley says with a grin.
" Not so fast Dud." At this point Harry's smirk becomes just a bit bigger. " I tribute my Amarylease to play my final face down card, Mini-Guts. Now your monster has no attack points and that means now my Boxer can in fact defeat your Dark Blade." Dudley's life points drop to zero and the two shake hands before picking up their cards, making sure that none were missing.
Suddenly, the intercom sounds throughout the house. "Dudley, Harry it's time for supper. Come to the dining room before Max eats all of your food like he did last time."
The two nod as if Petunia can see them, they wouldn't be surprised if she could to be honest, and make their way to the elevator. The dining hall was on the first floor so it was a bit of a walk from this room on the fourth even with the elevators.
"I almost beat you today Harry." Dudley starts. "Maybe next time I'll beat you and then you'll finally consider me you rival."
Rolling his eyes, Harry gives a small smile and replies." I could never consider you my rival Dud."
"And why is that?" Dudley asks, a small frown adorning his face. "I mean I'm just as good, if not a better choice than anyone that's on the island, let alone anyone off."
"Well if we want to be the best tag team duelists in the world then we can't be rivals. I mean then how will we work together without trying to outdo one another?" Harry points out as if it were obvious.
Dudley nods in acknowledgement and the two continue talking about their future plans. Gradually the two's conversation shift over to other things and by the time they enter the dining room they were discussing what presents Harry was going to get.
"Now I think it's going to be something from Dad's latest dig. I mean he came back with a golden eye so maybe he's going to give me the other one or something." Harry comments. Both boys make a face at the thought and sit down just in time for the adults to enter, Pegasus' new eye in full view.
Only around a week or two ago had Harry's father attained the eye. Since then Pegasus has been commenting about how he found something similar for his son. Quite frankly, the so called 'Millennium Eye' freaked the two boys out and they hoped that whatever he found wasn't to similar to said object.
"Why hello Harry dear." Pegasus greets. "Are you excited to see what I've gotten you?"
Petunia gives her brother a light hit with her palm as she walks past to sit down. " Now Max at least wait until after dinner to give him his gift. After all what would Lily say if she knew."
At that the table grew silent for a few minuets as the staff sets the table. While Harry knew about both his magical heritage and his parents untimely deaths, it was rarely mentioned due to it being a sore subject for Petunia. Slowly conversation started up again and by the time dinner ended, it was as if the silence had never occurred at all.
After dinner was over Dudley took it upon himself to ask the dreaded, to Harry at least. "So can Harry open his presents now? I mean we've been waiting for like a entire week!" Max and Petunia laugh at the boys enthusiasm and Harry gives a small smile in thanks.
The two adults get up from their seats to grab their presents and return with one each. Due to them not wanting to spoil the children they decide to give only meaningful gifts to their children. It worked to great success and the two grew up quite humble, for the most part, and healthy, Dudley ending up a bit bulkier due to his love for sports and Harry a bit on the thinner side as he preferred to play strategy games.
Opening Petunia's gift first, he saw a binder filled with different Duel Monster cards. Once again Harry could feel a small smile on his face. "Thank you aunt Petunia. This is an awesome present. I love it."
"Okay now its my turn dear boy!" Pegasus exclaims as he shoves the small box into his sons hands a bit roughly though, when he sees the apprehensive look on his son's face he calms a bit. "Well don't be shy Harry. I promise its nothing that could kill you."
Opening the gift, Harry looks to find a bracelet that looks like a golden serpent and seems to be surrounding the same eye of Horus that lies in his fathers eye socket. Just by looking at it Harry felt some sort of connection to the piece of jewelry.
"This is called the Millenniums Serpent Harry." Pegasus says softly as both Harry and Dudley stare entranced at his present. "It was once owned by a man named Setka in the time of the unnamed pharaoh. Just like you he was a magician, in fact he was known as one of the best for his time. He was even named a member of the unnamed pharaoh's court. Sadly though, for unknown reasons,he left the court to join the thief king Akeifa and proceeded to become one of their greatest enemies. To this day no one knows just why he did it but maybe you can be the one to figure it out."
Nodding, Harry slips on the bracelet and suddenly his whole being felt a bit calmer, almost as if he had found some sort of balance that he was missing in life. Closing his eyes for only a moment to take in the feeling, he once again opens his eyes only to come face to face with two owls outside of the window.
Petunia also noticing the birds moves to the window and lets them in. The owls move to the young boy and stick out their legs, both with attached letters.
Pulling both envelopes off it's quickly noted that while ones in English, the other is in Japanese Kanji. Luckily, he can speak both languages fluently due to his father speaking both and wanting him to be able to do the same. It also seems that the materials are different, the English being parchment and the Japanese being the paper that's used nowadays. Though both were oddly addressed to his old name and even contained the exact room in which he slept. Deciding on the English first he grabs it and begins to read aloud.

Petunia and Pegasus both frown and look at one another as if agreeing that this is a bad idea. They easily recognized the headmasters name from the first letter they received on a piece of parchment paper.
"I don't think this school is for you my dear boy." Pegasus says. "I don't trust that old coot of a headmaster one bit."
Harry nods and looks a Petunia. "He's the one that wrote the letter to you that night correct?" At Petunia's conformation he continues "Well then I don't think I want to go either. After all, why would I go to a place where the person I never want to meet is the headmaster?"
Reaching for the next letter Harry once again starts to read the contents aloud, this one already seeming much more favorable.

The reactions across the room this time were much better. All three of the others were smiling, though it looked like Dudley was about to burst from the excitement that this day has brought him, and young Harry was excited to have the option to both learn magic and stay at his own home.
"Well Harry boy I can assume that this is the school you've chosen just by the look on your face." Pegasus says, chuckling a bit at his sons obvious excitement. "So I suppose I'll write out the letters and send these two beautiful creatures on their ways.
Harry's birthday concluded with the two boys chatting excitedly about magic, Pegasus adding in his own comments every few minuets, an Petunia looking on and thinking about just how wonderful her life had evolved into due to just one, rather large, change she decided to make.
Across the sea, in Hogwarts castle. A old man was reading the worst news he'd gotten since he became the supposed leader of the light. Harry Potter had turned down Hogwarts in favor of some idiotic Japanese school that still taught the dark arts as a class. Now, unless he could pull of something great, Harry Potter was going to be out of his grasp and away from him for a very, very long time.
"Well it seems as if I have some plotting to do. Harry Potter will become my pawn one way or another."
