IAMSOSORRYMYLOVELYREADERS (/TAT)/ ...sniff...
How long has it been since my last update? 3 months and I've tried and tried and tried to update, to get this last chapter done and edit this story, but I'm starting to lose interest in the fandoms I have wrote for which is a HUGE problem as you can tell by how many of my fanfics are unfinished.
It doesn't necessarily mean that I've lost interested in writing stories, it's just that I've lost that spark on making our beloved characters go through the craziest things possible and I am seriously trying to find that spark again.
Each week during those non-updates at school I can't help but feel just a bit upset because I know I've got giddy readers waiting for the next update until the end of my story, but obviously through my wavering updates you guys can tell that that spark is wavering bit by bit.
I WANT to update, but I CAN'T and it frustrates me to no end.
The pressure of school, my trusty-old laptop breaking down, no inspiration... nothing's been going right for me.
After this update, I'll probably go disappear again to oblivion and my fanfics will go gather dust again, but when I do come back I'll make sure to spam your emails with updates on one story until it's finished each time I come back, okay? :3 (and with those spams I probably won't go back to edit the mistakes in the past chapters =w=" j-just tell me if there's this one mistake that bothers you a lot, okay...?)
Now, let's finish this story once and for all, and if you haven't check out More Than One Side yet, it was my first SSB fic that's basically somewhat a sequel to this story with random nonsense.
Why did the prequel come out before the sequel?... I wasn't planning on it =w=" but I do remember that I wrote this story out for my childhood friend who just couldn't see the beauty and how worthy herself was.
Also new writing style...? M-Maybe not...
"Leave me alone...!"
Pit murmured to himself, trying to let the dark eat away his fear, yet it did nothing but add to the fear bubbling inside of his heart. All he could think about was how painful those poisonous words struck his heart.
It hurts... it hurts so much...
He could hear how their shoes kicked the gravel with snickers escaping their mouths.
"How pitiful! Thinking curling into a ball would help him!"
"Well obviously the idiot wouldn't know how to fight back! All he can do is cheat!"
"Talk about disgusting~!"
No one would have known that he was being attacked yet again and no one would care. He knew it. Just outside of Master Hand's watch, no one was there to realize how much pain he was going through.
Nothing but negative thinking, making tears threaten to fall down his cheeks. He couldn't help but think that his parents were right: He truly was Pitiful. He couldn't do anything right. He couldn't fight right, he couldn't hide right, he couldn't even exist right.
"HEY!"
Pit blinked the tears away and looked up to see a familiar figure, "R-Red...!" Pit meekly exclaimed in surprise.
"Don't you have anything better to do than bully someone who's not willing to fight back?!" Red yelled angrily at the bullies, to which they scoff.
"Is a weakling like him even worth living?" one of the bullies asked in disbelief, "C'mon, you gotta agree that he's just a waste of everyone's time."
"Then if he's 'just a waste of everyone's time' why are you spending your time hurting him?" Red glared, not willing to back down.
"Cheaters like him should just disappear, shouldn't they? So weak that he needs to cheat!" another bully scoffed.
"He's not cheating."
They turned to see Samus there, obviously wanting to attack with how her hand was twitching for her whip but holding back. She glared at them, "Did you know that he wanted to be a soldier like me when he was young? Did you know that he died protecting me before he could reach that dream? Did you know that he has little experience at fighting properly because he died after suffering the brunt of bullies without an apology?"
The bullies blinked guiltily, trying to find words to fight back yet their throats were oddly dry.
Red sighed, "See? You can't assume something without proper evidence. Just because people easily get caught in his attack doesn't mean that he cheats." The trainer hesitated before continuing, "You guys have suffered similarly like Pit... right?"
Everyone's breath got caught in their throat at the question, causing Red to sigh again at the silence.
"People have their own reason to bully, right? But all of their goals are the same: To get a spot stronger than others to make sure they are no longer the person picked on, but... that's not right... Obviously, there's fault to that thinking, seeing how you end up just as worse as the one stronger than you." Red murmured, "It's just an endless cycle with only the ones who cause pain and the pained ones..."
"I...!" one of the bullies looked enraged for a second before the rage died down, biting their lip before mouthing a sorry. The bullies then ran off and far away from their sights.
Once out of sight, Red collapsed onto the floor with a huge sigh of relief, "Oh my gosh...! My knees feel like jelly!" He turns to look at Pit who suddenly started crying again, making the trainer panic, "H-Hey! W-What's wrong?! They're gone n-now!"
"R-Red...!" Pit cred between sobs, crying his fears out, "I... w-was so s-s-scared...! I-I...!"
Samus rushes over to hug Pit, patting his back and humming a soft lullaby to calm down her little brother. She then quickly punched a tree to release her anger, causing a squirrel to fall down from it and scurry off (terrifying Red slightly).
"I... I'm okay n-now..." Pit murmured after a few sniffs. The blonde sighed in relief before leaving the two be, able to tell that the two brunets needed to exchange a couple of words before heading back to the mansion.
"You were scared? My legs are still shaking!" Red smiled sheepishly.
"Heehee... sorry..." Pit smiled weakly back, wiping away leftover tears.
"Pit, you don't need to say sorry... you didn't need to say sorry before Samus you died. No more 'sorry's when we help you and you help us, m'okay?" Red asked.
"Okay... unless necessary... but really... thank you, Red, for being there for me in my time of pain..." Pit said, feeling that old spark of optimism in his heart again and genuinely smiled after such a long time.
Red grinned, feeling that happiness and gratitude radiate from the angel, "No problem, that's what friends are for."
The two were finally able to laugh off the burden before heading back to the mansion, the cheerful atmosphere lighting up everyone's day after a long time.
