A/N: I am a despicable human being. I'm sorry. I regret this a lot... but that doesn't mean I won't keep writing it. This prologue is pretty short, sorry.
Danny Phantom flew through the sky above Amity Park, enjoying the cool night air. 'I really ought to take relaxing nighttime flights more often,' He thought. No ghost attacks, nobody needing rescue... it was a perfect night. Wait... what was that?
He stopped and looked down. There, in the alley... it looked like a person, on the ground. Possibly hurt or unconscious. "I better take a closer look," He mumbled to himself. He flew down, alighted on the ground, and walked toward the figure. Yes, it was definitely a person. He walked closer... then froze and gasped.
It was Danny Fenton. His 'other half'. Danny was lying on the ground, unconscious, half naked, bound, gagged, and bloody. Phantom gasped and ran over to him. "Wh-what happened to you?" He whispered.
Carefully, he untied Danny and picked him up. He panicked for a moment, before deciding to take Danny home. He headed for Fentonworks. He turned himself and Danny intangible and phased through the wall into Danny's room. Then he set the other boy down on the bed. There wasn't much he could do.
Then there was a knock on the door. "Danny? Phantom? Are either of you in there?" Jazz's voice called.
"Y-yeah, come in." Phantom replied.
Jazz opened the door and gasped when she saw the scene inside. "What happened?!"
"I don't know." Phantom sighed. "I found him like this. C-call 911."
Jazz nodded and grabbed her cell phone. Phantom sat on the bed beside Danny and held his other self's hand. "I-it's gonna be okay," he said, mostly to reassure himself, since Danny was still unconscious and couldn't even hear him.
Jazz hung up a little while later. "W-well, the ambulance should be here soon." She said.
Phantom nodded. "Good." He said. "I'll stay with Danny the whole time, invisible, so you don't have to worry."
Jazz hugged him. "Hey. You did what you could." She said. "Danny's gonna be okay, and if you hadn't found him, he might not be."
"Y-yeah, I know." Phantom mumbled.
"Are you crying?" Jazz asked.
"No." Phantom said, blinking back tears.
"Don't lie to me. You're my, uh... half brother, I can tell." Jazz said.
Phantom turned to her and wiped his eyes. "He's me, okay, and I wish I could do something."
"You did enough. He might be dead if not for you." Jazz said. "Now you just stay invisible and stay with him, okay?"
Phantom nodded. "Yeah. I will."
Jazz smiled. "Good."
