Chapter 12: A normal day

Wow the hell must have frozen if I'm updating this, sorry, I haven't updated simply because a lot of people kept saying that they wanted more updates for another story and well I kinda got too into that story and forgot about this one, anyway the only thing I can do is apologize, sorry.

One more thing thank you to… well the reviewer figured as 'Guest' so thank you for your reviews it's nice to know people still want me to update this.

By the way there will be some basketball references in this chapter so if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about because they don't like that sport I'll say what it means at the end of the chapter.

Anyway enough boring you guys with this, I don't own D-Gray Man and I hope you enjoy.

A week has passed since the training started, surprisingly no akuma or Noah has attacked nor Innocence was spotted by finders around the world.

Everyone was now at PE with Allen and Jason's class playing basketball or the men in any case, since women went first and were now taking a break.

Allen had received a pass and was now dribbling towards the other team's basket, but just as he made it past the three points line, someone stood in his way.

"Sorry Allen, but you're not gonna pass that easily".

"Then try to stop me Jason". Allen answered back, but smiled and had a look of 'I'm not losing'.

Allen kept dribbling for a few more seconds before making a move to the right. However, after a few steps, he quickly spun and then started dribbling with his other hand while passing Jason, he jumped preparing to shoot, but Jason quickly jumped too, placing his hand between the ball and the net. When he thought he had blocked it, Allen used his left hand to pass the ball to another guy; he had big glasses and brown hair who attempted a three-pointer, but failed, letting the other team take the ball and start trying to counter.

"Sorry". The guy said to Allen while they both started to go back to defend.

"Don't worry about it; you'll get it next time". Allen said in return.

"Maybe you should pass the ball to someone else". He answered with his head down.

"No". Allen said simply. "Next time I'll pass it to you and you'll make that three-pointer".

"Wha…" He was speechless that someone would say that acting normally.

"My name is Allen Walker, and yours?"

"Johnny Gil". He said still trying to process what he just said and after that both went to their respective marks, Allen's being Jason.

"Maybe you should try a bit more next time". Jason said with a grin while trying to get pass Allen's mark and get a pass.

"No need, next time he'll make that three-pointer". Allen said before moving to cut off Jason's move.

"You're always the same you know that?" Jason said before making a feint and passing Allen to then run below the basket and make an alley-oop*.

Allen made a shrug and with that he prepared to get back those points, since he was made the point guard* the ball was instantly passed to him and so he began to dribble again, but this time the second he passed the middle of the court Jason appeared to mark him.

"Why the hurry, nervous?" Allen said sarcastically.

"If it's you then I can't lower my guard". Jason said back, while Allen kept trying to find an opening, but when the time was running low he decided to do the same as before and started to run right to then spin in place. "I won't fall for that again". Jason said but when he moved to block the other way the ball wasn't in Allen's hands instead it was on Johnny's who already shot another three-pointer this time successfully.

"Good one". Allen said to Johnny while everyone went back to defend.

"Thanks". Johnny said back.

Meanwhile watching the game along with the other girls, although not yelling to Allen or Jason to win, apparently Jason had some fame with the girls, how he did that only he knows, Lenalee and Madison watched how they played they seemed to be stuck in an exchange of points since they all kept scoring every point they managed.

"They're good". Madison said.

"Well they're exorcists, so they don't have the same physical ability than a regular student". Lenalee said back although making sure no one overheard so there won't be need for explanations.

"I guess you're right". Madison agreed with a nod. "Who do you think will win?"

Lenalee shrugged. "No idea, both seem to be equal although Allen-kun tends to make more passes".

"Yeah I guess we'll see at the end". Madison then made a pause before saying. "What are we gonna do about what happened last week?" She was talking about when General Cross retired the seal that prevented the Noah from taking control of Allen.

"Apologizing would be the first thing to do". Lenalee answered with a guilty look. "He really isn't a Noah, he just has one inside of him".

"I agree that we should we apologize, but we can't just pretend that nothing happened". Madison said back.

Lenalee let out a sigh and asked. "So what do you think we should do?"

Madison imitated her and let out a sigh letting her know she had no idea.

Back to the game.

Allen's and Jason's team were tied, and the time was almost up with Allen's team attacking.

As before, Allen had the ball and was dribbling towards the other team's basket, but this time when he got to the three point line and Jason appeared to mark him, someone shoved Jason away and started to mark Allen instead.

"Let's see what you do against me, freak". Joe said, grinning with a mocking tone but before he could even realize Allen had passed him and was quickly dribbling towards the basket where he made a dunk right before the game finished.

Allen's team started to celebrate while Jason's made a defeated sigh except for Joe who kept glaring towards Allen who was receiving some pats on the back.

"Man, Joe you should have let Jason mark Allen". Someone said before going to congratulate the other team along with the others with one obvious exception.

After PE finished someone came along to talk with Allen and Jason.

"Hey my name is Rikei, I am the basketball team's captain".

"Nice to meet you Rikei-senpai, my name is Allen Walker". Allen said back.

"I know and you're Jason Black". Rikei said while pointing to Jason. "Anyway I wanted to invite you two to join our team; you could be like, our secret weapon".

"Sorry but I'll have to decline". Allen said with a slight bow.

"What wh-"

"But I'll like to join". Jason interrupted.

"Ok great the practices are after school, I'll go look for you after your class. Is that ok?" Jason nodded at Rikei is suggestion and with that Rikei left.

"So why did you not want to join?" Jason asked while he and Allen walked towards the cafeteria.

"Like you need to ask". Allen said back.

"I know I know, but you could cover your arm on bandages and say it's for good luck or something like that".

Allen simply laughed sarcastically at that while they both kept walking, once they got to their destination both got their food and sat on a table before the place got crowded.

Not long after that someone came over to the table. "Excuse me". Both raised their heads to see Johnny with a tray and what was obviously a nervous look in front of them. "Is it okay if I sit with you?"

Allen and Jason shared a glance before Jason said. "Sure go ahead". Pointing to the place in front of him with his fork before starting to eat again.

"Really?" Johnny asked, apparently he was expecting a no for an answer.

"Yes go ahead". Allen confirmed again but Johnny still seemed to have second thoughts. "Don't worry about the fact that we totally beat Jason on PE; he is used to it".

"Hey what's that supposed to mean?" Jason reacted with an angry tone.

"Exactly that". Allen answered joking.

"I recall beating you in basketball before".

"I said PE". Allen remarked, both kept what could only be described as a stupid argument until Johnny said.

"S-sorry I didn't mean for you to start fighting". Both stopped to look at him and then chuckled.

"Johnny-san we're just joking".

"It's true". Jason confirmed before saying. "I have beaten him way more times than he has beaten me".

"What?! Of course not".

"You know it's true".

"Then would you like to have a poker game to confirm that". Allen's smile turned somewhat devil like after he said that.

"N-no thanks, I rather finish eating for now". This time Johnny laughed before finally sitting.

Meanwhile.

"We took longer than expected to get here". Lenalee said after she and Madison walked, almost ran to the cafeteria, there was usually plenty of space there, but for been that day it was sure that the place would be full, that was because Jerry had made that any random day that he likes, that is announced on the first period, he'll make a surprise food that it was every time without fail ten times as delicious as the usual food, with the normal food already been delicious a dish then times a delicious caused nothing short of a rampage with even the students that brought lunch from their homes try to get some of it.

"You're right, we're lucky that there is still some left". Madison agreed while both got Jerry's special dish. "But apparently there aren't any empty places".

Both let out a sigh before Lenalee said. "What now?" While both looked around for some empty places.

"Lenalee, how about there?" Madison pointed towards where Johnny was sitting, thanks to the crown they weren't able to see if there was someone else there so they both decided to walk there but just when they were about to ask Johnny if they can sit there they saw Allen and Jason talking with him.

"Oh sorry". Lenalee said when Allen and Jason saw them. "We're just looking for a place to sit". With that both started to turn around but before that Jason said.

"We have space come and sit". Both shared a glance and then Madison said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes go ahead, Lenalee-san, Madison-san". Allen answered.

Although sharing another glance they both sat down.

The moment they did the atmosphere got somewhat awkward with everyone eating in silence, soon enough Johnny tried to break the silence but he just didn't know what to say so all that came was an 'excuse me' and he walking out of the cafeteria, probably to the bathroom.

After he left, both Lenalee and Madison stopped eating to then out of nowhere bow their heads and say.

"Sorry for how we've been acting". Making Allen and Jason stop eating.

"Eh?" Was Allen's reaction.

"You know for acting as you were an enemy when we found out you have Noah inside you, sorry". Lenalee said with her head half raised.

"Oh its o-okay don't worry about it". Allen said moving his hands as to emphasize his point.

"But if you really feel bad maybe you could compensate hi-". Jason started to say but was interrupted by a hit to the ribs by Allen.

"Don't go and say things like that".

"By the way we should apologize to you too Jason". Madison said before again they bowed their heads.

"Well how about as an apology you-".

"He accepts your apology". Allen said with a smile after hitting Jason one more time.

"You know you're gonna pierce one of my lungs one day right?" Jason said holding his side making everyone including himself laugh.

After that they talked about minor things and the rest of the day went by smoothly until…

Wow I post a chapter after who knows how much time and I end it like that, you must hate me although I had made worst cliffhangers and I sure plan to do more (I already have one that will make you all curse –Black Allen like laugh-).

Anyway sorry for this rather simple chapter since almost nothing happened, I'll try to from now on manage to make one chapter of each of my stories on an order, first of one of them, then the next one and so on.

Well one last thing:

Alley-oop: A player passes the ball towards the basket and another one makes the point, usually with a dunk.

Point guard: He is the one who starts the plays, is usually the first to have the ball and to pass it.

The more people that review the more I want to write.
