"Kidnapped?" Rose asked, "Who would want to kidnap Cameron?"
"Possibly the Shadow Proclamation," Julie mumbled, "they've always been a bit nuts."
"Then what do we do?" Violet walked over to a cabinet casually and pulled out some microwave popcorn before uncurling the bag and sticking it in the small, black microwave. "We don't have too many options."
At Violet's words Julie looked up with a confused expression, "Who are you?"
"Violet. Regeneration. Time Lady stuff," she said with a grin as if she enjoyed the question.
Rose rested her hand on Violet's shoulder, "You can trust her, don't worry Julie."
"But... How can she?..." The officer shook his head before clearing his throat and continuing, "Anyways, yes, we don't have many options. How goes the attachment that you found, Rose?"
"I completely forgot about that with Violet's regeneration and all!" Rose exclaimed, pulling out her Egg and flipping it open. "I don't have any messages about it right now. It should be at the Torchwood hub, let's go there and find it. Maybe they've figured it out by now.":
Julie nodded, "Maybe they have. We've also got to report Cameron missing, who knows what the Proclamation will do to him?"
"Would they hurt him?" A wave of concern washed over Rose's expressions as she put the Egg down, wondering how she could be so selfish. Why would she worry about the Doctor's location when Cameron could be being tortured as she spoke? The Doctor would be okay, that was a given. But Cameron? He wasn't a Time Lord.
The man shrugged honestly, "I'm not sure. I wouldn't think so, since he doesn't really have any information they need. He probably knows just as much about the Doctor as we know."
Rose nodded then grabbed Julie's arm and hoisted him up onto his feet. She glanced back at Violet who was now happily guarding a large bowl of popcorn, shoving it into her face. Violet looked up awkwardly, "What? Regeneration makes me hungry."
Rose, Violet, and Julie piled into a cab and drove down to the Torchwood base with no conversation along the way. Once they reached the hub Rose tried not to enthusiastically leap inside at the fact that she may be able to find the Doctor in a few minutes. As they walked in Julie sent a message to Finn explaining where they were and Violet put her hand on Rose's arm to still her.
"Listen, Rose, I don't mean to upset you," Violet said gently, "but even if we find the address we have to make it back to the other universe anyways, right?"
"The TARDIS can do that," Rose said even though she didn't believe her own words were true, "I know she can. After we get the address we'll be fine, don't worry."
The Torchwood hub was as large and beautiful as ever, and Rose wasn't sure where to go to find the attachment. She walked up to Hunter, the man she had met on her first day working here, and asked him about it. Hunter pointed down a corridor and Rose half-ran down it to a small lab at the end.
Several scientists were standing in the lab in regular street clothes as a piece of paper lay under a glass dome on the center table and words and numbers were flowing across the screen too quick to read. As Rose entered the room none of them seemed to look at her, but she coughed loudly and caught their attention. "Rose Tyler?" one woman asked curiously with a heavy Scottish accent. "Are you here for the paper?"
Rose nodded, "Yes, I am." She gestured for Julie and Violet to wait outside, to which they complied. "Is it readable yet?"
The woman nodded happily, "Yes, most of it is. Only a few letters are missing now. Would you like to wait until the entire thing is revealed or would you-"
"I'll take it now if it's all the same to you," Rose said without hesitation.
Another scientist carefully removed the glass dome before picking up the paper with two fingers. He led it over to what looked like a copying machine and placed it inside before pressing down on it with the top of the machine. The letters and numbers on the screen slowed down to a stop, where a message was readable.
80947 Kyr le Boulev rd.
Rose shook her head in pure disbelief before laughing, "Is that the full address?"
"Yes, the only letters missing are the letter in between the 'r' and the 'l' and of course the 'a' in 'boulevard'. However, the address should be easy to predict... We looked it up and the only possible street is Kyrole Boulevard."
Rose bit her lip. It may be Kyrole Boulevard in this universe, but in the other universe it could be a whole different street altogether. However, it wouldn't be too hard to look it up once they got there. She thanked them and memorized the address in her head. Eight zero nine four seven Kyrole. Or Kyrule. Or Kyryle or something.
Eight zero nine four seven.
Eight zero nine four seven.
How hard could it be to memorize that?
Once she exited the room she was met with two hopeful faces stuffed with popcorn, Julie spoke first through a full mouth, "Did you get the address?"
"80947 Kyrule Boulevard," she said happily. "Now come on, let's go to the TARDIS and make it to the other universe so we can find him!"
They both frowned. Violet raised an eyebrow, "We'll go after we find Cameron. And after we find the Master. And pick up Finn. We need a group meeting before you go running off to another universe, yeah?"
Rose's face sunk, but she could see Violet's point in the matter. "Of course. Let's go get Finn first, perhaps he's over the bigger-on-the-inside thing by now."
