Chapter 1: The Dream.
The darkness of the night had swallowed everything; it was dark, foggy, and very much hard to see. Though because of the light that the moon and the stars provides', Percy can see that the scenery on his front is a forest.
A seemingly untouched, yet beautiful piece of the wild…
That made Percy smile. Images of Grover, running around and laughing with the forest spirits that he governs keeps popping on his mind.
Though of course, those made him miss his best friend. It's been a while since they last seen of each other, either because of Grover's duty as a Lord of the wild, or Percy's own duty as a hero, probably both.
He remembers how they met on eight grade when they are still the definition of what you called dork. Grover is his only friend then, his protector. It's funny how a few years can change things. Now, Grover is like the biggest thing among the nature spirits, oh how Juniper wants to strangle every nymph fangirls that chases him.
That made him laugh.
And Percy, now, on the young age of 21, is already a Marine biology expert that is famous worldwide for his top of the line talent, discoveries, and money, the husband of the Great Architect, Annabeth Jackson, and the father of a cute and intelligent 3 year old girl.
That made him grin. He guessed that after all of the things he had done to the gods, world, and the fates, destroying Kronos, battling countless monsters in Tartarus, eradicating Gaea and her bands of giants, and other stuffs like that, it's now their turn to let him enjoy his life.
A scuffling sound had broken Percy's line of thoughts, making him instinctively reach for his trustee pen/sword, riptide, which he found not with him, and also for in his horror, he found out that he is naked. And instinctively again, he reached his both hands to cover his other trustee sword, or dagger, as his wife is the one who mostly use it. I guess that you know what that means, anyway back to the story.
The silent noise of the night was immediately changed with the noise of a battle. The scene on Percy's front also changed into one of a battle field. Satyrs, Nymphs, and animals were wearing wooden armors and holding weapons of many kinds, sword, club, and uhm…panpipes.
And they are all attacking a band of three, of somewhat dragons that is being rode on by a tall petite human, a short burly one, and a monster that resembles a much smaller version of the minotaur with a humanlike face, yet of course, it's still big and scary.
The dragons were continuously firing colored fires and almost burning the much smaller nature spirits, though thanks to the Naiads, the attacks failed.
Ferocious big cats and wild animals were running around and slashing and biting at the dragons. Dryad archers were continually shooting the guys that are mounting the beasts. Satyrs were using clubs and some of them were holding their panpipes, controlling the plants around the dragons.
It was a one heck of a battle, no, a war. No one seems wanted to lose. It was a nightmare. And of course, Percy couldn't help because it seemed that he's seeing everything in a dream.
"Peeeeeeeeeeeeeercy!" Percy quickly turned towards the familiar bleating, and yes, it is Grover.
His horns are now as big as a full grown mountain goat. His once small build is now became more athletic. Percy almost didn't recognize him if not for his very scared eyes.
"Grover! What's happening?"
A piece of hope quickly burned in Grover's heart, "Peeeeeeeeeeercy! Invaders! Need help!". Percy tried to answer but he blacked out. The last thing he saw was his best friend being snatched by a dragon as they escape.
