Green
A/N: This is kinda morbid, I know but, I got the idea and it just wouldn't go away.
T just to be safe.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Avengers.
Enjoy!
For most people, green was a positive colour. It meant good, go right ahead, everything's just fine.
Bruce Banner wasn't most people.
He had never liked the colour much, even as a child.
Green was the colour of the disgusting lollies his grandma use to make him eat from the lolly shop down the street.
Green was the colour of the walls of his father's study.
Green was the colour of his school uniform, the school where he was called a 'freak' and a 'nerd'.
Green was the colour of the bottle his father had used to smash his mum's head in with.
Today, Bruce still found green to be a rather unsavoury colour.
Green was the colour of that damn, demi-god, Loki's cape.
Green was the colour of envy, all his want, dreams, of things he can never have.
Where red is the colour most people see when filled with rage, green haunts him, filling his dreams, taking him over.
Green is the colour of the beast he becomes.
The beast that he is.
To him, green was loss, green was fear, green was anger, green was guilt, green was pain.
To be honest, Bruce really did not like the colour green.
