"Hello, yes? I would like to order a few boxes of Pizza." I sighed, placing the phone to my ear. "Yes. Yes…" I sighed again. "Yes, I am the same girl who called you last night to order over 30 boxes of Pizza. And yes, I will most likely use my student discount to pay for most of these Pizzas."
"Thanks Sky!" Reika giggled from the table.
Yeah yeah, whatever. Why was I the one ordering the stupid turtle Pizza anyway?! He ate like a pig! I'm not joking when I say I bought him over 30 pizza's yesterday. Granted, Ed and me had a box while Reika had around 5, but seriously?! Who in the world can eat 24 boxes of Pizza all by themselves?
Apparently Turtle-boy can.
"Okay, for the first 10 pizza's I want cheese, pepperoni, and olives. Then for the next 10 I want Cheese, Hamburger-"
"Peppars!" Reika raised her hand.
"And Peppers." I rolled my eyes, giving my younger sister a little look. "Then for the last 10 Pizzas I want Cheese, mushrooms, olives-"
"Sausage." Turtle-boy raised his hand.
"…Sausage." I stuck out my tongue in disgust. "Some pineapple-"
"Bacon and Onions!" Reika jumped in her chair.
"Oh yeah. That is good." Raphael smirked, high-fiving Reika.
"…Bacon and onions…" I paused to look at them, seeing if they wanted anything else on their disgusting little pizzas that I knew they would be sharing. Looking at one another, Turtle-boy and Reika smiled in perfect sync… which was really weird.
"Jelly beans!"
Ew. That is gross!
"And Jellybeans." I sighed in defeat. "Yes… Yes that is all." I nodded. "Yeah, I'm having another party tonight. I'm a party animal." I grumbled. "You better be here in 30 minutes like your company promises of I refuse to pay." I growled, hanging up.
Hey, don't give me that look. It is an actual rule they have. If they don't get your pizza to you in 30 minutes or less you don't have to pay. It is a pretty sweet deal. Especially if you order so many pizza's all at once.
Running my fingers through my hair, I turned to stare at my younger sister and green mutant guest. They were both sitting at the table and talking.
What are they talking about; I'm sure you are asking? Well, I honestly have no idea. Something about wrestlers or whatever. I dunno, I'm not too big of a fan at wrestling.
Yet Reika is, oddly enough. She is a huge fan of boxing and wrestling. You would think that a sweet girl like her wouldn't like it but she does. She was weird.
Anyway though, yeah. They were both sitting at the table talking about wrestling.
…I wonder what they are thinking right now?
Reika's POV
He likes wrestlin' too! Oh my gosh! This will makes things so much easier! Now I can have something I can talk with him about! Sweet!
Oh! Oh! I wonder if he knows about the feud Steve Austin and Vince MaMahon had a couple years back? Any time those two got in a ring there was definitely some shell!
Raph's POV
Holy shell she likes wrestling! Can this girl get any better? Wait, wait- Final test.
"If you put Vince McMahon in a ring with Steve Austin, who do you think would win?"
Reika's eyes doubled in size. "Well it depends don't it? Are we talkin' about right naw, like if they were to fight right this second or back in them 90's when Austin's neck was still okay? Cause he hurt his neck and doesn't really wrestle no more."
Holy shell! She knows about that! Did this girl fall down from heaven or what?!
Sky's POV
…Yeah. Never mind. I don't think I want to know what they are thinking. I probably wouldn't understand it anyway.
So yup, back to what I was doing earlier. Rushing to my couch, I flipped over the side and landed head first into the pillows lining it. I almost purred at the sensation.
Getting comfy, I grabbed my remote and turned on the TV. "Reika! You have to be the one to answer the door when the pizza gets here!" I called over the side of the couch.
She didn't answer. She was too caught up in her conversation with her new soul mate. I swear, that is what the two seemed like. I wasn't even sure what Reika saw in the Turtle-boy. Sure, she freaked out at first when she saw him, who wouldn't? But after that it was like you couldn't separate the two of them. Reika completely adored the Turtle, for whatever reason.
And I had this nagging feeling the turtle was starting to feel the same.
Which was weird. I'm not saying I hold complete power of my sister's life. She can be-friend who she wants and do whatever she wants. However, that doesn't mean I wont voice my opinion of the situation.
There is just something not right about that Turtle. I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it isn't even him that I'm worried about. Maybe it is who ever gave him those injuries. Either way, I'm keeping a close eye on him.
With that thought in mind I flipped through the channels with sigh. Changing my position, I swung my head of the couch, watching the Tv upside down. Feeling bored, especially since Space Heroes wouldn't be on for a while, I frowned at all the different Soap Operas and New reports that were going on.
Stopping at channel 6 News, I half listened to their new reports on the pollution going around in the world.
Behind me, Reika suddenly laughed. I rolled my eyes. When we Ed suppose to come back again? One? Hurry up Ed! I can't stand being alone with these two lovebirds any long.
…Love birds?
Ew!
I sat up, glaring at the two from behind the couch. Okay yeah, I know I said I would let Reika do whatever she wanted, but it is my job as an older sister to tell her when she is being an idiot, right?
Cause I mean, I don't know if she remembers this, but we found that turtle collapsed at our front door with a lot of injuries. Injuries that were probably made by some enemies the Turtle-boy had.
Which also meant, whoever got close to him would most likely get dragged into his crazy and dangerous life.
Plus, and I quote, he is a turtle. I don't think a turtle and a human getting together is normal.
….Granted, Reika isn't exactly normal herself, but still! I haven't even accepted this Turtle as our houseguest yet! There is no way I am accepting him as some sort of future brother in law- EW! EW! Stop! Stop brain! Don't think about it anymore!
"Ney Raphael, what is ya favorite colar?" Reika grinned, suddenly changing topics.
"Isn't it obvious?" he motioned to his red mask.
"Me taw." She grinned, lifting up her red scarf.
"What sort of turtle needs to wear a mask anyway?" I grumbled, glaring at the two of them.
"Ah ninjah Turtle." Reika answered. "Besides, I think his mask is nice."
Turtle boy stared at Reika for a few seconds before clearing his throat and rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah well… I'm not so sure about Ninja."
"I beg to differ." I glanced at his ninja supplies that we still left lying on the counter. I mean, where else were we supposed to put that stuff? "I think your mask is weird."
"Huh? Why?" Reika frowned at me.
I sat up with a huff. "What does he have to hide his face? It makes him suspicious."
"Cause being a turtle doesn't make me suspicious enough." The turtle rolled his eyes.
"Hey, don't push me turtle. I will kill you with my mug." I held it up threateningly. "I'm just saying is all. It isn't like you have anything to hide from us."
"I'm not hiding." He frowned at me. "I just don't want to take off my mask."
"Why?" I narrowed my eyes.
"Because." He growled. "It is my mask."
"That isn't enough of a reason." I rolled my eyes.
"Why are you so bent on seeing me without my mask?" he folded his arms.
"I'm not." I said quickly. "I'm just questioning why you where one in the first place."
'I wauld like ta see ya with ya mask off." Reika announced sheepishly. The Turtle paused to stare at her, his eyes wide.
"Uh…Why?" he mumbled, looking flustered
Reika shrugged. "I dunna. I just…" she shrugged again. "I guess I just wanna see ya whole face."
The Turtle was quite for a few seconds, staring at Reika carefully. Slowly looking away, he began to reach for the back of his head.
Oh, I see how it is. If I question the mask, he gets all mad, but if Reika does, he follows her every request. Seriously, he is like putty in her hands.
Grabbing the knot of his mask, the turtle pulled it free. Holding it in place for a few seconds, looking a little hesitant, he glanced at Reika. Gulping, he slowly lowered his mask, revealing his bright green eyes and green face.
Reika's eyes widened as she stared at him. "…You…" she trailed off.
The Turtle flinched, as if he expected her to say he looked gross or whatever. Like she would do that. The Turtle honestly didn't look that bad. Sure it was weird simply because he was a turtle, but it wasn't like he was hideous.
"Oh... Whoa." she titled her head, astonished. "You look... Heh, ya look really nice Raphael! Amazin' even!' Reika squealed in delight. Stunned, the Turtle almost fell out of his chair.
"A…Amazing?" he repeated, dumbfounded. "Really?"
"Yeah!" Reika rose to her feet to circle him, getting every view of him. "I can really see your eyes now and you skin looks so smooth." She reached out, touching his cheek. Flinching a bit, the Turtle's cheeks turned a light shade of red.
…Okay, no. Stop. Stop it Reika.
Reika continued to circle him, looking very pleased that Raphael trusted her with this. "Thanks for showing me." She said honestly.
"…Yeah." He cleared his throat. He was always doing that. Clearing his throat. It was weird. "So, I'm just gonna…. Put this back on." He held up his mask.
"Yeah, do that." I grumbled, looking away. "You're basically naked without it anyway."
The Turtle and Reika froze, staring at me. Sensing their looks, I looked back. "…What?" I frowned
"…AHHHHH!" Reika dove away, covering her eyes, her face burning red. "I'm sorry Raphael! Put it back on! Put it back on!'
"I'm going!' he almost squeaked, scrambling to put his mask back on.
What the- they didn't take me serious just now, did they? Of course the Turtle wasn't actually naked. He's a turtle!
Rolling my eyes, I turned back to the TV. They were both such nerds.
Grabbing the remote, I turned up the volume, trying to ignore the screaming and flustered chatter behind me. Focusing in on the new broadcast, I frowned.
"And we turn back to Carlos Chiang O'Brien Gambe for the news."
"Thanks Betty. This is Carlos Chiang O'Brien Gambe here giving you daily dosage of news! Currently we are still following the story of the mysterious incidents going on through New York."
Leaning my hand against my palm, I sighed. This dude had way too long of a name. Just say your name is Carlos Gambe. It is simple and to the point.
"Police as still baffled by the string of robberies and damaged property through out New York. Many police officers believe that most occurred through what appeared to be battling. Perhaps two gang fighting for turf they think. Either case, Police are asking that citizens return to home as soon as possible through the next couple weeks and make sure all locks are used in the house."
"Robberies huh?" I mumbled, tilting my head. "Well, we don't have to worry about that because we have a ninja in the house."
"I heard that." The turtle growled at me from behind.
"It isn't like I was trying to be secretive." I grumbled back.
Suddenly, there was a click from the door and Ed stepped. "Oh! Hello everyone.' He greeted with a smile.
A thank the couch gods above, Ed is back!
"Hi Ed!' Reika waved.
"Hey. Sorry it took me so long to get back. Traffic was crazy." He took of his bag and placed it on the hanger. You know, ever since Raph got here, Ed has basically been living here too. It was sort of funny.
He even had a key to the house and everything! Our parents had given him the key. He's been like a son to them ever since we were little.
"How are you feeling Raphael?" Ed smiled at him.
"Fine." The Turtle nodded. "Hungry though."
Pig.
"We ordered Pizzah, it should be here sawn." Reika announced.
"Oh good, I'm starving…" Ed paused. "How many Pizza's did you order?"
"30." I said darkly.
"Again?" Ed paled. "Can you really eat those all again?" He looked to the Turtle.
"I've done it before." He folded his arms with a smirk. "I ate almost 30 pizzas yesterday."
"I thought that was a once in a life time miracle." Ed admitted softly. "But, if you can eat that many then… okay."
"I'm a growing Turtle." The turtle chuckled.
"Yeah. You're growing out, that is for sure. Not sure much for height though." I announced dryly.
"Did you just call me fat?' The turtle narrowed his eyes.
"Sky!" Reika scolded.
"Worth it." I snapped.
These next couple of days were going to be long. I wasn't sure how long I could stand being in the same house with this Turtle! Or Reika and it's new… relationship! If that is even what you could call it.
Their new… thing. I dunno. I can't be absolutely sure if this was something along the lines of love yet, but there were definitely some sparks between those two.
…I should consult with Ed. Oh but wait, what if he finds it adorable and supports it? I feel like he is the type of guy to do that. Ugh. Frustration!
Whatever, I'll just let it play out for now. See what happens.
"Hey Raphael." Reika plopped down at the table with the grumpy red-banded Turtle. "What is wrang?"
"Wrong." Sky corrected as she slid pass, dive bombing onto her couch.
"Nothing." Raphael sighed. "I guess it is just… Lately, the chapters to this story seem to be filled with random nonsense over actual plot."
"Random nonsense?" Sky and Reika questioned together. "What do you mean?"
"Well-" Raphael paused to juggle some oranges. "Haven't you noticed all we've been doing is random things?"
"What else do you expect to do with our time, Turtle?" Sky frowned, pulling out a large firework and lighting it.
"Sky." Reika scolded. "If ya are gonna do that, stick it out de winda." She ordered, pulling out a boom-box.
With a groan of protest, Sky trudged over to the window and stuck the firework out of the apartment. "But yeah, I'm still not seeing your point Turtle."
As Sky talked, Reika clicked play on her boom box and began to dance.
"You haven't noticed?" Raphael grumbled. "All we do is random things!"
"We daw nawt." Reika argued, twirling and landing in Raphael's lap. The two of them struck a pose when Sky pulled out a camera.
"I'm pretty sure we do." Raphael said, returning to the normal conversation as soon as Sky lowered the camera. "…And get off my lap!' he blushed.
Reika jumped off his lap and twirled to the kitchen. "I'm still nawt followin' ya Raphael." She sighed, opening the fridge and pulling out a large watermelon.
"Yeah. Say it in a way we understand." Sky nodded, messing around with 5 different hula-hoops.
"What do you both not understand?" Raphael groaned. "We are just doing random things. Stuff that doesn't make any sense. Stuff that is pointless." He began to stretch, doing some yoga. "Look at me! I don't even like Yoga!"
"You're good at it though." Ed suddenly entered the room, carrying a baby panda.
"Aww!" Sky and Reika cooed at the sight.
"Look! Right there! That had no relevance to the story!" Raphael snapped, pointing to the adorable panda.
"Hey! Don't be dissin' the Panda Turtle-boy!" Sky growled. "It has done nothing wrong!"
"It's done everything wrong! It shouldn't even be here!" Raphael growled back.
"Whoa, whoa. Calm down." Ed said soothingly. "I'm sure there is a rational explanation for everything that is going on."
Suddenly, a mutated Spike came crashing through the roof.
"Hello Raphael." Slash smirked
"Hey Spike." Raphael sighed, shaking his head.
"Oh! What the shell Spike!" Sky screamed. "That was our roof! Get out!"
"Get out-?" Slash's eyes widened
"Out!" Sky pointed to the door. "There is no room for a Spike appearance today!"
"My name is Slash-"
"I don't give a nawdle. Leave." Sky continually pointed to the door.
With a sigh, Slash trudge out of the house.
"…I give up." Raphael sighed, throwing his hands up and face planting against the table.
Yeah, there have been a lot of random things XD sorry everyone. I'll get into some plot in the next chapters, I promise!
