Hey everyone. As usual I don't own Flashpoint and check out my profile for story ideas. Thanks for reading.

''Hey, so we'll see you later.'' Ed asked Wordy on his way out of the locker room.

''Barbeque Birthday Boy,'' Spike joked, slinging his bag around his shoulder.

''Yeah, Shel called and said she prepped the grill and the steaks are ready to go.'' Wordy sat down on the bench after pulling on his socks and started on his shoes.

''You know you're getting old when you put your shoes on the wrong feet.'' Spike ran out of the locker room laughing at his friends expense. Wordy had risen up to catch Spike, but tripped on the other shoe, barely catching himself in time.

''Don't worry, bud, I'll get him. See you in 20.'' Ed gave him a wink as the door shut behind him.

Wordy sighed, sitting back down to put his shoes on the right feet. It wasn't his fault really, he'd been trying to teach Ally to tie her shoes and she kept mixing them up. He looked up when he heard a noise behind him. ''Sam? I thought you already left.''

''Yeah, I, uh, kinda wanted to hang back a bit. I thought I'd give you your birthday present without the guys around. Ed would never let you hear the end of it.'' Sam reached up in his locker and pulled out a neatly wrapped box. As he handed it to Wordy, he said, ''Happy birthday, Wordy.''

''Thanks.'' Wordy took the box and sat it down on his lap. After carefully unwrapping the paper, he took out his utility knife to open the box. He put his knife back in his pocket and unfolded the flap. Looking inside, he saw what looked like a white suit with gold buttons.

''It's a Prince Charming costume. I remember you saying that your daughters were your princesses. Before you know it, they'll be looking for their own prince charmings. This way, you can look the part until then.'' Sam shuffled his feet. ''If you don't like it-''

''No, no. It's great. Thank you.'' Wordy said, choking up. Gently placing the box on the bench, he stood up and gave Sam a hug. ''Thank you.''

''You're welcome.'' Sam awkwardly returned the hug. Hugging rarely ever happened in the Braddock house, so he always found these situations weird. Stepping back, he gave Wordy a small nod. ''So ... I'll see you at the barbeque.''

''Yeah, I'll be there soon.'' Wordy watched Sam leave before looking down at costume. Running his fingers over the fabric, he smiled. Yeah, this suit would definitely be getting it's wear in.
