It's been around two months since I've last touched this fic. Sorry about that. Hopefully no one has given up on it yet.

Anyway, I have a surprise for you guys. Hopefully you'll like it.

The potty training was finally over. Duncan assumed that more training was needed, even though this was obviously not the case. Nevertheless, Duncan and Cody went downstairs to have breakfast. Duncan feed Cody the baby formula with the breastfeeding harness. Cody did not know why Duncan felt the need to take off his shirt to feed Cody, but he did not want to know.

A few minutes after that disturbing breakfast, Alejandro returned home with the groceries. He left the bags on the counter and Duncan helped him put everything away.

"I met Jo at the supermarket today and she, Eva and Brick are coming over," said Alejandro.

"Cool," said Duncan, "looks like another play date for Cody," he smirked at Cody. Cody cowered in his playpen. He did not want to play with Brick. True; Cody has never interacted with Brick before, but from what he's heard of Duncan and Alejandro's conversations, Brick was Jo and Eva's son. That means if Cody upset Brick even the slightest bit, Eva would go psycho on him.

Then again, if Eva killed Cody, Cody would be free. Or maybe Eva would kill Duncan and Alejandro, and then Cody would also be free.

Suddenly, it crossed Cody's mind that if Eva did kill Alejandro and Duncan, she and Jo would unilaterally adopt Cody. Cody would much rather be raised by Alejandro and Duncan than by Eva and Jo, even though he's always dreamt of being raised by a lesbian couple. So Cody promised himself that he would be as nice as he possibly can to Brick.

*Ding dong*

Alejandro answered the door. "Eva. Jo. Brick. Come in," he smiled.

"It's a lovely place you've got there," Eva complimented. She entered the house, followed by Jo. Jo was carrying Brick bridal style in her arms.

"Thanks," Alejandro replied. "Duncan's in the kitchen getting the kettle and biscuits ready. Why don't ye go make yourselves at home in the lounge? Cody is in the playroom if Brick would like to play with him."

"I'll go leave him in there," Jo beamed, carrying Brick off to the playroom and sat him on the floor next to Cody.

"Now Brick, Mammy and Mommy will be in the other room chatting with Cody's Daddy and Papa," said Jo. "Be good. You boys have fun now." Jo left to join Eva, Duncan and Alejandro in the room. When they were gone, Brick turned to Cody and shouted:

"I WANT THAT PHONE!" Brick snatched the phone out of Cody's hand. It was basically an old Sagem flip-top phone Alejandro used to have, but it is broken now.

"But I had it first," Cody protested.

"Lemme have the phone or I'll scream!" Brick threatened.

Cody sighed. Remembering who Brick's 'mothers' were, he said: "Fine."

This is harder than I thought, thought Cody, as he dug into the toy box in search of something else to play with. Finding a set of fake jingling keys, Cody decided to play with them instead. Brick, who had the top half of the phone in his mouth, noticed this and snatched the keys out of Cody's hand.

"Hey," Cody glared.

"MINE!" shouted Brick. The fell out of his mouth and onto the floor. Cody was horrified by the former cadet's behaviour. Cody thought Brick a nice but very socially inept lad and he did see Revenge of the Island. Then again, there were so many deleted scenes that season there ended up being only thirteen episodes rather than the usual twenty-six. But Brick's behaviour was still a huge surprise to Cody.

Cody decided to play with something else. And this time, he would hide it from Brick. Cody found a toy Swiss army knife. But instead of sharp, deadly weapons it had a spoon, knife and fork; all made of plastic. So it basically wasn't a Swiss army knife. Still, it was better than nothing.

Brick had his right hand and the keys down his pants when he noticed that Cody was playing with something with his back to him. Brick crawled over to Cody and looked over his shoulder.

"I WANT THAT TOY!" Brick shouted at Cody. Cody muttered curse worlds about Brick under his breath and gave him the toy. Cody decided to play with his Duplo blocks instead. He built himself a tower.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Brick screamed. He did not like the site of the tower for some unknown reason. He pushed the tower; knocking it over. The tower was smashed to pieces as it landed on the ground.

"Aw, look what you just did, Brick!" Cody scowled. Brick's mouth trembled. Then he burst into tears.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" Brick wailed. "I HATE YOU! YOU'RE SUCH A MEANIE! I'M TELLING MY MOMMY AND MAMMY ON YOU! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH" Brick ran off to the other room to blab about Cody. Cody gulped in terror, realising that he's just put himself in grave danger.

Alejandro, Duncan, Eva and Jo were gabbing about inappropriate topics when Brick ran into the room screaming and crying and fell onto Eva's lap.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! CODY'S A MEANIE!" wailed Brick.

"Don't mind him," Eva assured Duncan and Alejandro. "He's a special little boy. He gets scared very easily. He must've seen one of Cody's toys and freaked out."

"Well our Cody, though, he's too quiet," Duncan laughed. "He rarely says anything. He must be shy."

Cody was listening in all of this and sighed in relief. When it was time for Eva, Jo and Brick to go, Jo joked that she and Eva usually sedate Brick at around seven thirty in the evenings. She, Eva, Duncan and Alejandro laughed, but Cody was almost convinced that Jo wasn't joking. Knowing her, Cody could be right.

But as soon as the guests were out the door, Duncan and Alejandro accused Cody of being mean to Brick, so they banned him from the TV for an hour.

As I've said above, sorry for the hiatus. On the bright side, I'm planning to have both Brick and Harold interact with Cody at once in a future update. Stay tuned!
