April sighed as she struggled to unlock the front door. Andy had broken it months ago, along with the toaster, showerhead and kitchen table when he decided to take up karate. They had saved up to fix it a few times, but whenever they got past fifteen dollars they always decided to screw it and spend the money on pizza.

Once she finally got the door open, a fleet of balloons attacked her. Once she pushed them out of her face she saw Andy, wearing his only suit, and holding a bottle of champagne. "Happy anniversary, babe!"

"Andy, our anniversary isn't until Saturday."

"No, our wedding anniversary isn't until Saturday, but today is the anniversary of when I proposed."

She looked around the house, taken aback by the lack of crap lying around. "You cleaned up?"

"Of course I did, and I made dinner, and I got you a present."

"Really? What is it?"

"I can't tell you" he scoffed. "You have to wait until after dinner."

"Fine" she said, sitting down. "What you make?"

"Nachos!" he said, running to the kitchen to get them. "Do you remember the first time I made you nachos, babe?"

"No, remind me."

"It was the night I proposed" he said, kissing her cheek as he placed a plate in front of her. "I'll never forget it; you were wearing a really awesome blue hoodie."

"You remember what I was wearing?"

"Yeah. You looked so pretty, and I was so nervous."

"You were? But we were just hanging out, and then you asked 'What if we got married tomorrow?"'

"I know, I had been thinking about how I was going to say it for weeks."

"Andy, we only date for a month."

"I know."

"Wait, so you like planned it? You knew you wanted to marry me that soon?"

"Of course, babe" he shrugged. "You're my soul mate."

April usually thought smiling was stupid, but it was times like these that she found it hard not to grin like an idiot. "Well I'm glad you asked because I really like being married to you."

"I like being married to you too."

"The nachos are awesome."

He smiled shyly. "You're awesome."

"Can I open my present now?"

"Oh!" he yelled, reaching under the table and pulling out a brown paper bag. "We were out of wrapping paper. Actually, I think we never had it in the first place.

"Whatever" she said, grabbing the bag. "Wrapping paper is stupid." She reached into the bag, and pulled out a T-shirt. "I saw Lil' Sebastian at the Pawnee Harvest Festival" she read aloud.

"I bought it for you while we were there, but I forgot I had it."

"You bought this for me three years ago, and you're just giving it to me now?"

"Yeah."

She remembered the day, it was right after they started dating when they first said 'I love you' to each other. It had been the best day of her life, but now she wasn't sure. They'd had a lot of best days since then. "It's perfect. I love it."

"And I love you. Which is why I have to ask you a question" he said very seriously as he got down on one knee in front of her. "April Ludgate, will you stay married to me?"

"Yes" she smiled. She thought Andy was just goofing around, but then she noticed that he actually had a ring box open in front of her. It was a huge, almost eerie looking blue opal. "Oh my God" she gasped. "How much money did you spend on this?"

"Zero dollars. My grandmother gave it to me. She said she found it when she was going through her stuff, and she thought you might like it."

"Did she buy it from a gypsy or a witch or something?" she asked excitedly.

"No, I think she just got it at a store."

She shrugged as she slipped it on her finger. "Well, either way it's awesome. Thank you so much, honey"

"No, thank you" he said. "You're the best wife ever."
