The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. It was completed in 438 BC. That was by far Eve and Maria's favorite landmark throughout their whole trip. The two best friends left in early march to see what the world had to offer. The women traveled to a few European countries ranging from Belgium to Greece and it was truly the road trip of a life time.
It was hard to believe that the plans they had made freshman year of college were actually happening. Just the two of them set out together to see what laid beyond America. It was so amazing that the two of them had set a new pact, within the time span of 10 years they'll take their families with them and travel to a country in Asia and spend a summer there.
The two women now set on a plane headed towards home. The flight was set to land soon and they were excited to see their loved ones again. Just twenty more minutes, but in the meantime they looked over pictures that they had taken on their journey.
"Aw this is one of my favorite pictures. You and John look so sweet at the Eiffel tower, I'm so glad he came to visit." Eve smiled softly as she looked at her friend.
"Yeah me too, I love that in this picture he's standing. Mechanical legs are really something…"
"Yeah, it is truly amazing… but my favorite part about this picture is the way you're looking at him. You know Paris is the city of love."
"Yeah I know. It's pretty evident in this next picture where you and Cody's lips are all over each other." The redhead smirked, pulling out the next picture from the pile. All Eve could do was let out a soft laugh.
"I've got to admit. It was pretty sweet that he surprised you by coming to Paris. Shows up in the middle of the night with flowers in hand. No wonder he got laid that night, and the night after that, and the night after that, and the night after that…"
The brunette started blushing uncontrollably, she let out a sigh and shrugged her shoulders. "I was being stupid and reckless. I blame the city."
"So are you going to blame Brussels too? Mike came down then and you guys surely didn't let me sleep."
"We were still together then, that's hardly reckless. Me and Cody just had a bit of a fling…"
"A fling, sure… but seriously what's your game plan moving forward. You're single, John tells me they're both still single. What's going to be your move?"
"I don't know… What I do know for sure is that in two weeks' school starts and it'll be my first year as an elementary school teacher and that's my main focus right now. Not Mike or Cody, just my students. It'll work itself out."
Maria nodded her head and let out a small smile, "I understand… good luck."
Eve nodded her head and looked back down at the photographs in hand, she looked through multiple romantic pictures that she took and took a deep breath. This certainly wasn't going to be easy. Now that she was home on the ground she had to come to reality with what her next step was. Only time will tell.
It was a beautiful day outside, the sun was out and shining brightly among California. The waves brushed up along the shore smoothly. Barbie Blank however couldn't see any of this as she laid in bed with her eyes tucked behind her eyelids. The woman was definitely not an early riser and spent the remainder of her vacation in full relaxation.
The blonde was tucked away beneath her white sheets and buried herself in pillows. She liked to snuggle up with the pillows whenever Dolph wasn't in bed, it was a decent substitute but still didn't match up to his warm body.
Through the bedroom door there was a hallway which led to a kitchen. That's where Dolph currently stood, his hands were shaking a bit to the nerves that were currently taking over him. He looked to his right and there sat a plate with sunny side up eggs, pancakes, and a bowl of fruit for Barbie the moment she woke up. Surrounding the table were hundreds of rose pedals delicately placed to make the scene more romantic.
The man placed the frying pan in the sink and rinsed it out. Dolph reached over and grabbed the cup of coffee (prepared to her liking) and placed in next to the meal. Then he reached in his pocket and pulled out a small little black box, inside of the box held a beautiful diamond ring.
Dolph couldn't believe how nervous he was. His eyes scanned the room and he couldn't help but smile at the house that they made their home. The two had lived together for a little over a year and they had their own little home alongside the beach. Barbie, who was now one of the best interior decorators in Southern California, designed every room in every bit of the house. Every piece of furniture and every color on the wall was chosen and styled by her.
Dolph Ziggler was also a designer, he was a video game designer. Him and his team had just released a hot new EA game. Their accomplishments in their careers was very impressive especially at their young age. His smile spread when he thought over his life, it was exciting.
"What's this?"
Hearing that soft voice broke Dolph's train of thought. Quickly his head spun, he made eye contact with his girlfriend. Her hair was in a messy top knot and she didn't have an inch of makeup. She wore a big blue T-shirt that read the words, "Covington University" and a pair of white cotton panties to cover up. Barbie just had that way about her that even at her worst she was a 10 out of 10.
"Good morning." He smiled as he walked over closer to her, each step grew more and more nerve racking. Speechless she stood there waiting for what she already knew was coming. The woman batted her eyelashes a couple times just to wake up and make sure that this was really happenin
Dolph went down on one knee and opened the small little box. Immediately Barbie gasped at the sight of the ring, never did she imagine that she could have something so perfect. That reaction gave him a little bit of confidence moving forward.
"Barbara Jean Blank, I have loved you since the moment I met you. I'm so gracious for every second that I can call you mine and I want to do that for the rest of my life…"
He couldn't even get the words out, tears immediately were coming from her eyes. Then broke the big question, will you marry me?
The blonde eagerly nodded her head with a smile wide across her face. "Yes, of course I'll marry you."
Quickly Dolph pulled her in for a close embrace. It was one of the longest hugs that they've shared together. All that was left to do was save the date.
The sound of a crying baby restricts parents from getting any sleep. This was very true in the Brooks household. AJ and Phil combined averaged about 6 ½ hours every night this week due to Amelia's crying. It was a painful week for their baby girl because her teeth were starting to grow in.
Phillip laid across the couch holding onto Amelia and a teething toy for her to chew onto, it helped numb the pain. The tatted man looked down at his daughter and couldn't help but smile. There was no greater joy than holding the one thing you love most in the world.
April walked into the living room from the back yard with a bright smile. The woman walked over to her boyfriend and kissed him on the cheek proudly.
"Did I tell you how amazing you did on her swing set?"
"A few times actually."
Greedily AJ walked over to the other side of the couch and took the child from his hands, she held her daughter closely to her and kissed the top of her head. The brunette ran her fingers through the child's small locks of hair and giggled.
"My daughter the diva. You know when I was born I didn't have any hair for a year."
Phil's expression turned sour as he teased, "Ew so you were an ugly baby?"
"Funny."
It wasn't long until someone else joined in on the fun. In through the front door came Mike Mizanin, like always. The Miz spent more time here than anywhere else since his break up. He came in with a smile that was clearly faked.
"Hey man, how did it go?" Phil smiled as he glanced at his best friend.
"Oh, I missed it… She had already landed when I got there. I was too late."
AJ raised her eyebrow at him, "You were waiting there since 9 AM it's 2:00 now?"
Caught in a lie, the man had to think on his feet, he wasn't good at that.
"Yeah, I was at the wrong airport…Ha, it's crazy."
"Then where are the flowers you took with you?"
"I left them with her baggage."
"But if you went to the wrong airport then her baggage wouldn't be there?"
Punk took a hold of AJ's hands as a way of signaling her to just stop talking, just letting the topic go would be for the best. Mike retaliated after, this time with the truth.
"Okay fine, I was waiting and then she got off and Cody was there with her family so I bailed. I didn't need to show up and interrupt things. I just went to the baggage center and placed the flowers on top of her bag, okay?"
The couple felt like they had said way too much, April now responded with pure silence.
"It's fine, I mean it. So how is my goddaughter's mouth doing? I know teething is supposed to be really painful."
"She's fine right now. When she's by herself is when she's not fine."
Mike nodded his head, he was barely listening as he concentrated on his phone. Eagerly he hoped for a text to arrive. April was going through mail and one of the envelopes brought a smile to her face.
"Phil, did you ever tell him about the call we got last night?"
"Oh no, I didn't." A smile spread across Punk's lips as he looked at his confused friend. "We got picked up, they're giving us the loan for the business with little interest."
Now that brought a smile to The Miz's face. Ever since graduation the two of them have been looking to start up a business and it was finally coming together. These two entrepreneurs were about to take off and do something amazing.
Randy Orton was a fan of sticking to your roots and that's exactly what he did. Orton had two jobs, his main profession was being a firefighter. He enjoyed the rush that came from it and loved having a job that helped people. His second job was being the assistant Coach of Covington's football team. It was great for Randy. He was a former elite wide receiver for Covington so it was great for him to stay grounded in the team while also helping instruct students in the right direction.
Neither of these professions dealt with chemical engineering, which is what Randy had gone to school for to begin with, but it was clear that he was meant for more than that. Even though there was money involved in that profession he wouldn't be happy in it, and that's the key happiness.
"Come on, you're not pushing hard enough!" The tatted man yelled at his players as they did 'suicide runs' to warm up
Randy looked around the field and observed how it was constructed. He looked at the stands and then at the scoreboard and smirked to himself, this was his home. Abruptly he blew his whistle which alerted all of the players to stop what they were doing.
"Water break, 2 minutes. Go!"
His blue eyes watched the men walk over to the coolers. Behind them he saw a women walking over and quickly his smile grew wider.
"Look who it is, my beautiful wife."
Brie Bella smiled as she walked over and placed a soft kiss on the man's cheek. She ran her palm down the side of his face and stroked his beard. The brunette raised her arm to show the doggy bag she had in hand.
"Me and AJ went out for lunch and I thought I would bring you something to snack on…. I also wanted to make sure you weren't pushing these boys too hard."
"Well thank you but I'm not. They need to prepare out first game is next week and it's not a joke. They have to take this seriously so that we can finally go back to a championship season."
Brianna smirked softly at her husband, he was very passionate and competitive. All the woman did was nod and give him a long that made him know that she was watching him. Brie was like a protective mom over the students who played on that field, she didn't want to see them get hurt. It was part of her loving spirit. However, Brie wasn't that much older than them. Unlike Randy Brie was still a college student; she was going for her psychology degree.
The brunette realized she had a gift in her sophomore year of College, she was just afraid of confronting it.
Randy pecked his wife's lips and then grabbed the whistle and let out a heavy blow to it. "Back to work! Endurance crawl the length of this field and back, go!"
Randy Orton was now 5 years, and 2 months' drug free and 4 years 11 months' alcohol free. He didn't realize It until later but drugs and alcohol went hand and hand with him. Randy wasn't able to drink alcohol without thinking about anything drug related. The road to recovery is always hard but it gets easier with time, and he realized that this time around.
Four hours later practice was completely over and there was nobody around. All that was left was Randy in his office left to reflect on what was to come this season. His fingers were typing away at the keyboard, eventually he finished his email message.
On the email he wrote about how much he desired for his team to come together as a family. He also said how much he loved his time in college with his friends and how Covington was a life changer for all of them. He finished it out with an invitation. Randy Orton wanted all of those who were there to witness the Boston tragedy that the team went through to all have a reunion before the next game. It's been a little over a year since they've all been together in the same room and it was important to him that it happened one more time.
Randy scanned over the email one more time to check if there were any mistakes and then he sent it. The man didn't only want the team to come he also wanted to include the cheerleaders (Barbie, Maryse, Eve, etc.) Not only them both the students who were greatly involved and waited in the hospital for days (Mike, Maria, Phil, etc.) Randy wanted to make sure that Covington's elite had one last hoorah.
Orton closed his laptop and sat back in his seat with a smile spread across his face. The family was getting back together again.
AND THAT IS A WRAP. Oh my gosh, I can't believe this story took almost 2 years. (Ultimate procrastinator right here I'm sorry) but no I'm legitimately proud of this story. It was planned to have 20 chapters total and I doubled it. There was more character development then I could've imagined and I can't believe how many people read this from start to finish! You guys amazed me yet again and I promised I would get this up before the new year so I literally spent ALL DAY finishing this. I didn't have time yesterday and I knew for damn sure I wouldn't have time tomorrow so my day was spent for you!
For reviews I'm curious, Who was your favorite female?
Who was your favorite male?
Who was your favorite couple/storyline?
Anything you're really happy about in the finale chapter?
Anything you're really upset about in the finale?
Anything shocking?
I've been writing since I was four years old and this is only the second story I've done from start to finish. Crazy...anyways I love you all!
