It was an exciting day at Texas Motor Speedway as everyone prepared for the fall race, another installment of the Chase for the Sprint Cup. For three fans, it was even more special than that. Simon and Noah Seville, adopted brothers, were bringing their youngest sibling to a race for the first time. While both boys were 18, their little brother Austin was a mere 4 years of age. Still, he was already an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race.
Austin rode in Simon's arms as they neared the track, held with one arm around his back and the other under his diapered rump. Along with said padding, the young chipmunk wore a Denny Hamlin hat, t-shirt and jacket, the latter meant to look like the driver's firesuit. Noah, on the other hand, wasn't clad in any kind of superhero gear for once; today he wore racing-themed clothing instead. Likewise, Simon had on a blue Carl Edwards hat and a matching t-shirt.
As they entered the avenue of haulers lined up outside the speedway, the three brothers first stopped and rented a FanVision scanner for the race. This would allow them to better see the action on the distant back straightaway, and provide them with a full leaderboard. With the device in hand, the three brothers headed off to check out a few specific souvenir haulers before entering the speedway grandstand. Once their little shopping trip was over, it was time for the race.
The three chipmunks made their way through the gates with no trouble, and soon found their seats high up between turn 4 and the finish line. Setting down their souvenirs, they immediately walked back down to grab lunch from the concessions hallway below the stands. As the race's starting time neared, the three brothers returned to their shaded seats and began eating their meal. Driver introductions began soon after, followed by the national anthem.
"I'm so excited; I can't wait!" Austin exclaimed, hugging his bespectacled brother excitedly. Noah chuckled as he reached over and ruffled his little brother's headfur.
"Don't worry, the race is only a few minutes away," he assured the boy.
"Yeah, they just gotta roll the stage away and then we're good to go," Simon added, smiling.
"Good, " Austin responded, resting against his brother. Simon rubbed the young boy's back, chuckling as his brother nuzzled into his chest. After a little silent coaxing, he rubbed the little tyke's padded rump as well, eliciting a soft moan from the little chipmunk. Austin always seemed to enjoy that, and today was no exception.
"Drivers, start your engines!" The words snapped the two brothers back to reality.
"Headphones!" Noah cried, referencing the hearing protection they'd brought. He and his brothers quickly pulled on the devices just as the deafening engines roared to life. Austin smiled giddily as the cars began to circle the track behind the pace car; this was going to be fun.
