Masochism at Its Finest

I'm back nerds. In black. Kinda. I'm wearing gray so… Light black. Whatever. Fuck you, I tried. FORGOT TO MENTION. SPOILER! ASH DIES THIS CHAP! Jk. Anyway. On with the story.

"Umm… What? I have too…" Ash rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "What does that entail?"

The Hollowed animal in front of the teen only barked in response. "Wulf!" It wagged its tail happily at Ash. Ash sweatdropped in response. He shifted his sword into his right hand and looked at his reflection in the blade. He gazed at it in determination. He nodded to the canine.

"I'm ready."

Ash looked over to Byakuya, his red eyes piercing right through the man. Byakuya frowned. No one had unnerved him with such a look before… And, did his eyes change color? He shook off his uneasy feelings.

"Prepared to meet you're fate, hollow?" Ash smiled at him.

"Yep." He placed the steel of his blade on his left palm, then drew the blade across. He didn't cringe as his blood flowed onto the blade, dripping off onto the dirt. The sword began to glow and Ash's spiritual energy exploded around him.

"Devour, Chacal." His body took on the same glow as his sword, his red spiritual pressure erupting around him with tints of black. Byakuya was nearly crushed by the energy emitted from him. His frown only grew as he saw the form his opponent had taken.

Ash now had black canine ears and a similar tail. He was wearing what could only be called European style armor that was mostly complete. The fabric under the armor was red along with a red strip of cloth hanging halfway down his chest from his neck, shoulder to shoulder, with the plates being gray, nearly black. (Think of the final Warrior set from Dragon Age II) Across his back was an enormous Claymore-style Greatsword, similar to the cross around his neck, with two long red ribbons extending from the end. Ash smiled at Byakuya in a sadist way.

"This new form will do you no justice, Hollow." Ashe frowned at that.

"If that's what you think, then I dare you to attempt to leave with Rukia." Byakuya seemed willing to take him up on the offer, simply to save face. He knew his opponent out powered him now, but he has been a slayer of Hollow for centuries prior, and he would not be goaded into attacking rashly.

"An interesting jest fiend, but I will slay you and-", Ash closed the gap between the two of them before he could blink, and sent a punch at Byakuya. Byakuya blocked it with his petals, but Ash still powered through and made contact with his face. He was sent flying at insane speeds backward. He hit the ground and uprooted about a dozen trees in an attempt to slow himself. He felt his nose bleeding profusely, as well as his tongue. He made him bite his tongue… SUCH IMPUDENCE!

"That will be your last act as a living being, monster!" Ash only tilted his head sideways in confusion. He saw all of the petals of Senbonzakura Kageyoshi Swirl around him. He smiled.

"That technique is beautiful… Does it hurt?" Byakuya only chuckled.

"Yes… It hurts." Ash smiled again.

"Oh. Good." Byakuya's smile faltered for a moment and then returned. His opponent was simply attempting mind games. He would not falter. Like a conductor, Byakuya began to weave his hands around controlling the petals. The only time he did that was when he wanted absolute control over them. He wanted this Hollow more than dead, he wanted him to be an afterthought. The petals formed into a tornado and surrounded the Arrancar. Ash chuckled as all the petals came together and began to rend him to shreds.

Byakuya panted slightly at the amount of effort he put into eradicating his enemy. He began to walk away, his sword petals fading until one thing stopped him in his tracks.

"What did I say about leaving?" He turned back to see a rather alive but extremely bloodied Hollow glaring back. He couldn't see any visible slices on his opponent's body… But that was impossible… He absolutely massacred him.

Ash's hand made its way to the sword on his back, he drew the massive Cross-More (LOL) with slow ease. He stabbed the weapon into the ground about a foot deep, and even then the swords hilt reached his chin. He tilted his head at Byakuya once again and smiled.

"Sorry, but that last bit did what I would consider a light amount of pain. Can you hit me with something a little more painful, or am I just going to have to murder you then have your subordinate give it a go? His sword seems pretty menacing." Byakuya continued to stand there shell shocked. How? How the… He shouldn't be anything close to alive. And he wanted more? What is he?

"Well, you're boring so, I'm going to move on… After ripping you to shreds of course." Ash pulled his weapon out of the ground and Sonido'd to Byakuya and swung in a downward arc form over head at him. Byakuya used his sword to block the attack but didn't see the swords secondary effect. The whirlwind of fire following its wake. The blast threw the Captain back, his energy wavering dangerously. Byakuya stood slowly and wiped the blood from the corner of his lip. He took on a look of pure hatred, his glare unnerving even his psychotic opponent. Ash frowned at the face he was making, the look seeming too go straight through him.

"Very creepy face you put on there. Are you going to try now?" Byakuya didn't give a response. He only went back to his emotionless state, and dropped his sword once more.

"Bankai."

Ash had to admit. He wasn't sure if he liked the more serious Byakuya or not. Although the prospect of injury enticed him, he didn't want to die. Then he couldn't keep receiving punishment. But… Why did that prospect bring a sense of joy? Why did pain feel… Good? His Resurrecion? Or did it always feel this good?

The thoughts were forced to the back of his mind as he dodged another volley of petals. Or attempted to. His thoughts had kept him distracted for long enough, another set of blades had come from behind. Ash turned and attempted to block them with a flaming sweep of his sword, but he didn't have time as another whirlwind of the struck his back. He gave a small yelp in surprise as the small sheets of metal tore through him again and again. Byakuya wasn't taking any chances with his opponent again. He raise two fingers and began a chant.

"Seeping crest of turbidity, arrogant vessel of lunacy. Boil forth and deny, grow numb and flicker, disrupting sleep. Crawling queen of iron, eternally self-destructing doll of mud. Unite, repulse. Fill with soil and know you're powerlessness. Hado Number Ninety: Kurohitsugi!"

Ash only noticed the flower petals had left him alone. He stood slowly, letting his wounds mend with his accelerated regeneration. It was how he had lived the first time, his Heiro preventing any serious injury, but certainly causing a mess. He re-impaled his weapon into the earth as Byakuya walked away. Ash tilted his head in confusion. Weren't they fighting over Rukia?

"Hey! I don't think we're done yet!" Byakuya didn't turn to him, he merely slowed his pace.

"We're done. Have no doubt of that." Ash rubbed the back of his head as the black box finished forming around him, blocking his opponent from sight.

"Wonder what he meant by that… We're hardly done figh-"

Ash collapsed, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. He could faintly hear a Sonido happen nearby.

"Ash… ASH! What the hell… You're all cut up…Let me get you…" Ash's conscious was fading in and out. He felt arms wrap around his chest and legs. He was lifted… His conscious faded.

"In relation to what appears to be another freak accident, in perhaps the string of accidents surrounding Karakura Town, it would appear that the forest near the Karakura Park was nearly burned to the ground last night. Fire Fighters do not know if that and other incidents are related, but it's still up for anyone to guess… This is-", Ash shut the T.V. off and slapped his forehead in frustration. He heard the door open and close. He glanced over to see his girlfriend, Tatsuki, enter and smile at him. She was still worried about his injuries, but he hadn't explained what happened yet. He smiled back.

"Good Morning, beautiful. I didn't think I deemed a visit?" She sent him a small smirk in response.

"You don't. I only came because Orihime wanted me to drop off some bread for Ichigo, Uryu, and you. I wouldn't just stop my day to come visit you." Ash chuckled.

"Ouch, that hurts." He fake pained, holding his chest. She sat down in the seat next to him and tilted her head at her goofball boyfriend.

"Oh really? Where does it hurt, Satoshi?" Ash smiled at her in a mischievous way.

"Right here." He pointed at his cheek before continuing. "I think you may need to kiss it better, Nurse." She only blushed slightly before closing the gap between their faces. She gave him a peck on the cheek, then a quick kiss on his lips. After they parted, she stood with her bag of bread and turned to walk to the other rooms in The Kurosaki Clinic. Ash caught her hand and she looked back at him.

"I'll be better soon. I may even see you at school for the last day of the semester." She only chuckled at that.

"You're strong Satoshi, but even I doubt that. See you later, Sato." She let go of his hand and jogged away. Ash laid back in bed and began to relax. Well, until Ethan made an appearance.

(Insert Line Break Here)

"What's good, bro?" Ash nearly leapt out of his skin, as his 'brother' proceeded to scare the hell out of him… AGAIN!

"Why do you always sneak up on me?" Ethan shrugged and sat in the chair Tatsuki had previously been in. Ash glanced over at him before commenting.

"I think I preferred it when Tatsuki sat there." Ethen glared lightly.

"I'm sure I would've preferred my cute girlfriend over my eternal bro for life too… Not!" Ash stuck his tongue out at the blonde.

"Agreed. Bro's before-". The previously unseen Keigo was suddenly sent flying by the ever powerful Tatsuki drop kick. Both Ash and Ethan just sat there slack jawed. The obviously annoyed Tatsuki looked over to her man. Ash gulped. Tatsuki made her way over to his bed, then climbed into it with him and wrapped her arms around him, being careful not to disturb any injuries. She and Ash began to cuddle there until Tatsuki felt the need to say something to a certain someone. With little to no emotion she told them her message.

"Ethan."

"Yes?"

"Get out or die." Ethan was gone before she could finish her statement. Ash looked down to the girl with her head on his chest and smiled. It didn't matter what everyone else thought, Tatsuki was the best girlfriend ever.
