Doctor Whooves

Doomsday, The Way We Wished

THIS IS NOT CANON! REPEAT, THIS IS NOT CANON! I am doing this as a little short on how I think Doomsday would've gone, ponified, and the way we wished it happened.

and, the intention was that'd you'd read the original Doomsday first, then this. Because no one is reading he original, and it's ticking me off.

"Once the breach closes that's it, you'll never see her again, you're own mother!" the Doctor cried.

"I made my choice a long time ago, I'm never leaving you," Roseluck said stubbornly, but her voice cracked a little. "Now what can I do to help?" The Doctor frowned, trying to think of a really good reason for her to leave. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it. Why didn't she listen? She could get seriously hurt! And he couldn't, he wouldn't, let that happen. But, in trying to find a good excuse, he got a brilliant idea. He pulled a disk out of his suit pocket, just a little thing he'd made just in case, but it would serve its purpose now in another way.

"Take this, go plug it into the Tardis. It's not going to take you anywhere in time so don't give me that look. Put it in and it will start to absorb the excess energy, like it did when closed the rift in Cardhoof after the mess with the Slitheen. I'll work the switches manually up here, don't worry about me."

"No, I'm staying here to help you."

"Roseluck, please."

"I'm staying with you!"

"And I can't lose you!" Roseluck froze, did he just...? The Doctor sighed, "I can't risk losing you. I can do this myself, I don't want a Dalek to hurt you because you insisted on staying with me. I made a promise to your mother to protect you and I intend to keep it. Now, please, go to the Tardis." Roseluck tried to protest, but he cut her off.

"Roseluck, just go!"

Roseluck nodded, an expression on her face something of an annoyed scowl. She grabbed the disc with her teeth and turned to leave when she felt a hoof on her shoulder, it pulled her around and the Doctor kissed her. A small kiss, a peck on the cheek, and then he was back to work. She stood, frozen for a split second, her skin tingling slightly, before jumping into action and running towards the elevator, her spirits instantly lifted.

She ran to the lift, rode it down to storage where the Tardis sat, untouched by Daleks. The minute she stepped out of the lift she could hear the Daleks coming.

"Equine female detected!" A screechy voice called, "EXTERMINATE!" That voice sent shills down her spine, no matter how many times she heard it. Roseluck galloped for her life towards the blue box, not bothering to check for the daleks' location. And as she leapt for the Tardis, a single death beam shot through the air towards her.

And was absorbed by the Tardis forcefield. She galloped into the blue box and slammed the door shut. Thank Celestia the Doctor had left the shields like that, she'd have to thank him later. She had barely a moment to breathe.

But then she heard it, an all too familiar gong toll ringing. The cloister bell! No no no, bad! The Void, it was open, she needed to put the disk in now. Roseluck galloped over to the console, but where was she supposed to put it! There was a crackling sound behind her, Roseluck whipped around to see a holographic version of the Doctor standing before her.

"This is program 64, Authorised Control disk detected," it said, "insert disk into the Tardis Console and brace yourself." A single gold slot appeared in the Tardis console beside a switch, Roseluck inserted the disk.

It glowed gold, then vanished. The Tardis began to shake, like it had when they'd opened the rift in Cardiff, Roseluck held onto the console and yelped every time it jerked hard enough.

She hoped, and prayed the Doctor was alright, oh, she really really hoped he was alright.

The Doctor pulled one switch, it clicked as it locked into place, activating the breach. The suction pulled on the Doctor as he dashed across the room and pulled the other. He wrapped both forehooves around his own magnet clamp as the Void began to pull even harder against him. He braced both hind hooves against the ground as the suction grew worse. And then came the monsters.

Daleks and cyberponies flying past from everywhere, each and every last one crying out in fear, and surprise. He heard Daleks calling him, cursing the Oncoming Storm for this horrible atrocity. He tried to tune them out, and instead thought for Roseluck. She knew it was a risk, to return. But she returned for him. For him, and if she got hurt, it'd be his fault. But now, she was safe in the Tardis.

There was a grinding sound, snapping him back into focus. The switch was inching forward and the suction was lessening as the gap closed. But the monsters were still flying in full force.

He had to pull that switch back, but he couldn't without letting go of the clamp. So, he did the right thing, and let go. But, he caught hold of the switch with both front hooves, and pushing with all his might against the void, bracing his back hooves against the ground. He pushed as hard as he could, his hooves starting to slip against the lillonium, and it locked into place.

And then, it just stopped. With a flash of light, the monsters, the void, everything, just stopped. The Doctor let go of his switch, dropping to the ground absolutely exhausted. He'd done it, the breach was closed and those things were gone.

Then he remembered Roseluck, oh celestia, was she alright? He leapt to his hooves, now sore and somewhat shakey, and galloped as fast as he could. He didn't bother taking the lift, nah, to slow. Instead he went down the stairs as fast as equinly possible, jumping down smaller flights and sliding down banisters.

Soon, he reached storage, ponies as well as cyberponies lay dead on the ground. Crates were burned and artifacts were destroyed. But when the Doctor saw his Tardis, his spirits soared. It had managed to hang on, he galloped over.

"Roseluck!" He called, smiling hopefully. He stopped, no reply, his mood began to darken.

"Roseluck?" The Doctor asked, worried, as he pushed open the Tardis doors. First thing he heard was silence, then, a shakey breath. Immediately, his smile returned. Because there, sitting by the Tardis console, hugging the Tardis, was Roseluck. He dashed to her side, and before she had time to gasp out "Doctor!" he was hugging the living daylight's out of her.

"Hey, you alright?" The Doctor asked, breaking apart from the hug. She nodded, "Did you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Stop them? Close the void?" The Doctor nodded, "yeah, yeah I did." Roseluck smiled, grabbing him again in a hug. He laughed tiredly, she sighed happily. Both of them relaxed, still hugging, sitting there in the Tardis. Suddenly, Roseluck's grip tightened.

"What's wrong?" asked the Doctor, pulling back so he could see her face. Her eyes were beginning to water, "Mum, I left her, I left her in that other world. Oh my gosh what am I going to do!" she cried, burying her muzzle in his shoulder. The Doctor hesitated a moment before patting her back, "hey, it's alright. She's fine, she will be fine. After all, Clover and Gear are there to protect her remember? She's going to be fine." He kept repeating that to her, hoping it was true.

Three days later, in real time, it was three minutes. The Doctor had flown the Tardis out into space, hovering around a beautiful supernova. Roseluck waited patiently as he worked, hoping it would work almost begging it to. She was still emotionally unstable, but getting better. But tears were still going to spill.

Yesterday they'd sent a psychic message through a tiny crack in the universe, a small crack, to Lilly-Luck so she would come. All they could do was hope she'd heard it. Slowly, as the Doctor worked, a flickering image began to appear in the Tardis, Lilly. Around the edges of the reflections, she could see blues sky and grey stone. Roseluck smiled sadly, tears threatening to spill. Lilly looked surprised, "Roseluck?" She asked hopefully, her voice echoey. Her daughter nodded stepping forward, "yes mum, it's me."

"You look like a ghost," Lilly-Luck said.

"Oh! Hold on!" Called the Doctor, he soniced the console, the image becoming a bit brighter. "That better?" Roseluck nodded, so did her mum. Lilly-Luck stared at her daughter, eyes mixed with concern and curiosity..

"Roseluck, can I?" asked Lilly, raising a hoof. Roseluck shook her head, "Sorry mum, I'm not really there, just an image."

"Oh," her hoof returned to the sand, "you okay then?"

"Yeah, I'm fine... I miss you mum," she said, her voice catching. The Doctor came to her side, putting a hoof on her shoulder.

"I miss you to sweetheart, it's not the same here. Only three out of four Lucks."

"Four?"

"Yeah, you're going to have a little brother, sort of."

"Really? Oh mum, congratulations!" Roseluck cried, her effort against the tears getting harder. "Where, where are you?" Lilly smiled a little, "Long way from home. Someplace near Griffinalia, a beach. (Insert German translation of Bad Wolf bay), Bad Wolf Bay." Roseluck's eyes widened, she glanced at the Doctor, who looked just as surprised.

"How long have we got still?" asked Lilly. The Doctor checked his watch, "About thirty seconds." Roseluck turned to her mother, "Mum, I'm sorry I left, I couldn't just let him, I'm sorry I just-"

"It's alright Roseluck," Lilly interupted. "You did what you felt was best. I would've done the same." Roseluck swallowed hard, "I love you," she said as the transmission began to fizzle out.

"I love you t-" Lilly-Luck vanished, the breach closed for good now. Roseluck broke down, she sank to her knees, tears forcing their way out. The Doctor knelt next to her, hugging her as sobs wracked her frame. He knew how it felt to lose somepony close to you, he knew it all to well. He wished that- somepony gasped. He looked up, Roseluck did too, her cheeks still tear streaked. But her eyes widened with absolute surprise at the sight before them.

There, standing by the door, was a purple mare with an orange mane in a long white dress. A wedding, dress. Her wings, she was a pegasus, were beginning to fluff in agitation.

"Who are you?" she asked, shocked.

"What?" asked the Doctor, dumbfounded.

"Where am I?" she continued, now exasperated.

"But-what?" he repeated.

"What the hell is this place?!"

"What?!" the Doctor and Roseluck asked, surprised and confused.

To be continued in, well, on second thought, nope. Not continuing this AU, sorry but, no.

Roseluck: WHAT!? really?! You do this and I don't get to- *gets shoved away*

Me: sorry to any of you who were very hopeful she'd stay. Sorry, but, nope. Not going to happen.
