Jacks POV

Jack was about to have a nap on a tree branch hanging over her lake. She was slumped against the trunk with one leg hanging over the thick branch.

Her long white hair was loose with a single small plait and was swaying in the breeze.

She heard footsteps scattering small stones but she kept her eyes closed. She listened and heard the footsteps get closer. Whoever they were, they were obviously trying to be quiet. She heard the person creep to the base of the tree. She felt the tree branch slightly as the climbed the tree-very slowly, and very quietly.

She counted down in her head 3...2...1...

She blew out a large breath and froze the person. Jack opened her eyes... and nearly fell off her branch laughing at the sight of Jamie Bennet frozen. His eyes were open wide with shock.

She un-froze Jamie and he joined in her laughter.

When they finally calmed down enough to talk Jamie sat next to her and cleared his throat.

"I... I..." he began and the trace of a blush began to colour his face.

He cleared his throat. "I bought these for you" he said, while handing her a beautiful obviously handpicked bouquet of blue-purple flowers.

Jack took them. "Beautiful" she whispered.

Jamie beamed. "They're Phlox flowers" he explained, "They bloom in winter so they like cold temperatures"

Jack sat staring at the flowers. They were the first flowers she had ever been able to touch without killing them. "For three hundred years I couldn't touch a flower. They would wilt after about a minute" Jack whispered, "in all those years, this is the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me". Jack looked up at Jamie. "Thank you" she whispered.

Jamie's POV

Jamie was shocked. The nicest thing that someone had done in three hundred years was to give her flowers? Jamie's heart swelled for the winter spirit.

Jamie inched along the branch closer to Jack. She tore her eyes away from her flowers and looked up at him with her ice blue eyes.

He took a deep breath. "Jack... There's something I need to tell you..." He felt himself blushing before he continued, "I... I really like you. In a more than friend's way" his face felt like it was burning, "and if you don't feel the same way... I understand-" Jack didn't let Jamie finish.

She had claimed Jamie's lips with her own.

Jamie closed his eyes and deepened the kiss. He slowly put a hand on her waist and bought her closer. She responded by placing a cool hand on the back of his neck and leaning forward on their branch.

They broke apart grinning at each other. Jacks cheeks were lightly flushed purple which Jamie guessed was a blush and he could feel his heart was rating.

Just them Jacks charm bracket glowed showing a non-emergency summons to the pole.

They looked at each other. "Meet you hear tomorrow after lunch?" Jack asked. Jamie nodded and she flew away with the speed of a bullet.

Jamie chucked to himself. He had finally admitted it. He loved Jack Frost.
