Authors Note

Dear god I've turned into one of those writers that I hate who only published chapters every year.

There is now 37 people following this! To every single one of you thank you so so much!

This is the last chapter of the Story, so enjoy and please review!

Five months had passed since the birth of Chloe-Louise and the time had come to plan a christening party. Neither Clint or Natasha were religious, however they wanted their baby to experience things that they hadn't got to, and have god parents that would take custody of her if something were to happen to them. Which was highly likely considering their job descriptions.

They had narrowed the god mother to two, either Pepper or Maria would take that role. However the real problem was to decide on a god father, considering they had 6 potential candidates; Bruce, Steve, Thor, Tony, Nick and Phil.

'Well as harsh as it sounds, Thor's in Asgard all the time, so I don't think he would be around enough to be her godfather.' Clint remarked upon their predicament.

'No you're right, he wouldn't. Thor's out. I don't think Tony should be either, he might make a good father to his own children but I'm not chancing him with ours.' Was Natasha's comeback.

'Okay, we're down to 4, that's not so bad I guess.' Clint reasoned.

'It could be better, Bruce would make a great dad, so would Steve, they're both kind and fair.'

'Phil is fair too, although I think he'd be a bit too firm, remember that time when we were in Quepos *, taking down monkey smugglers in the National Park and one of the monkeys gripped your finger but then freaked out a bit because I dropped my gun. Phil was convinced –'

'That the monkey had scratched me and given me rabies and we had to abandon the mission to go and get it checked out.' Natasha finished off. 'I was so mad at him I could have strangled him then and there. Phil's out.'

That left them with 3 possible god fathers. Nothing was ever easy.

'Hold on a second, I'm going to call Fury.'

'Why?' Clint asked.

'To talk about this god father business.'

She called and it went to answer phone after two rings which meant that he was at his office, he just didn't feel like picking up his phone. Natasha immediately called back and again it went to voicemail. Un-deterred by this setback however, she rang again and after the third ring the familiar voice answered.

'Romanoff, what is so important that you have to interrupt my FreeCell game for?'

'You're the director of an intelligence agency and you have the spare time to play FreeCell?'

'There was a gap in my schedule.'

'Clearly.' Drawled Natasha.

'What is it you wanted Romanoff?' Nick retorted, clearly annoyed.

'I wanted to talk to you about being Chloe's god father? We narrowed it down to you, Steve and Bruce. We just can't decide.'

'Natasha, as much as I think that baby is one of the cutest I have seen, I already have 4 children and I'm a god father to another 2, let someone else have a chance.'

With that he hung up, and Natasha presumed, returned to his FreeCell game.

'Clint, did you know that Fury had 4 children?'

'NO WAY! Well he kept that quite! Sneaky bastard.'

'Yeah I had no idea either.' Natasha responded. 'Here give her to me, she doesn't like it when you hold her like that.'

Natasha took Chloe-Louise from where she was resting in Clint's arms, he held her a bit like a rugby ball so he could eat his burger with his free hand.

'I was holding her just fine.'

However he seemed pleased to have his hand back so he could demolish the burger even faster.

Natasha rocked Chloe back and forth a bit, singing to her in Russian, they had taken to calling her Chloe for convenience, since Chloe-Louise was a bit of a mouthful. However now she was in her mother's arms she became restless and would not go to sleep easily. Natasha strolled over to her pram and placed her in, covering her in a deep purple blanket (her father's colour) so she wouldn't get cold.

'Hey Tasha, where you going?'

'I thought we'd take a walk in the park so she could get to sleep, you know how she loves the lake.'

'Wait a sec, I'll come with you.'

Clint grabbed a jacket the same colour as his daughters blanket and a black one for Natasha and the happy family headed down the elevator of Stark tower toward Central Park.

They entered the park from 97th street, and headed towards the lake. They spent half an hour there, looking at the shimmer of the sun on the cool water. Clint held Chloe on his knee so she could look as well. She made giggle noises whenever a ripple appeared on the surface.

They decided there and then that they would enrol her for swimming classes as soon as she was old enough.

Having exhausted the lake, the family moved to the North Meadow and proceeded to lay a blanket out and cuddle up on it. It was a sunny day, however there was a slight breeze being early March and so, despite the warm rays of the sun, it was 'a bit nippy' as Clint liked to say.

'Tasha?'

'Clint?'

'Let's have another one?'

Natasha stared at him, wide eyed, reliving the pain of the labour she had been through recently.

'You've got to be kidding! We literally just had one.'

'Yeah….but, think about it, we could have more?'

'Get back to me in 2 years Barton.'

And with that she strolled off to get an ice cream from the small cart by the bridge, leaving Clint to put Chloe back in the stroller and pack up the blanket. She ordered 2 large Mr Whippy's with flakes and a tiny tub of vanilla for Chloe. The couple walked 200m to a bench and sat down to enjoy their ice creams. Clint fed Chloe hers then wolfed down his own, keeping one hand on the pram.

'Tasha?'

'I'm eating.'

'We need to decide on this god parent situation.'

Thinking it over, she finally decided.

'Why can't they both be it? I'm pretty sure there can be more than 1.'

'Can there?'

'I don't know, neither one of us is religious Clint! It's just so that if something happens then legally custody will go to the god parent. They can fight it out when it comes to it.'

'Can you imagine Bruce and Steve in a fight though?'

Laughing to themselves they started to talk about who would win in fights between members of the team, completely oblivious to a familiar face watching them.

'Okay, Thor and Bruce?' Natasha asked.

Clint had to think about it for a minute before deciding.

'Definatly Thor, he could just drop the hammer on Bruce to hold him in place.'

After exhausting the fighting advantages of all the avengers, it was past 4pm and past Chloe's nap time.

'She's probably already asleep.' Clint turned to look and came face to face with an empty pram.

Chloe-Lousie was gone.

Authors Note

Again, thank you for ready, hope you enjoyed the story! There will be a sequel which is what I intended to write, this story was meant to be about a chapter long, 2 at most but it kind of got away with me. Anyway the next story will be an Avengers/Brave crossover.

Please review if you liked it!
