Clary's eyes flickered back into her head, and the others watched as she went crashing to the floor, smacking into the polished hardwood. To them, she looked unconscious, but she could faintly hear everything they were saying.

"Magnus! What did you do to her!"

"This wasn't supposed to happen!"

"I'm murdering you with this knife if she dies!"

Sudden flashing memories overtook her blackening vision, drowning out the sound. Memories of Jace...

"Clary."

She opened her eyes, looking over in surprise to see New York's famous central park, with its magnificent and abundant green trees and soft, lush grass. The sun had thrust its warm light down on the park, and it made her feel warm and safe. Two rare things for a shadowhunter, who was constantly followed in the darkness, to feel.

"Earth to Clary?"

Stunned that she had forgotten the voice, she looked over to see a grinning Jace, lounging comfortably on a picnic blanket, with a brown woven basket tucked around his arm. His hair was sexily tousled and shined in the sunlight like gold, not to mention his perfectly chiseled face and body... by the Angel, he was hot. She blushed.

"So? Are you hungry or what?" He said in a teasing voice, opening up the basket and removing an immaculate apple, slicing it into eight neat pieces. "Do you want one?"

She nodded shyly, unsure why she was acting this way. She'd never been shy around him... had she?

He smirked his trademark 'know-it-all' smile and put the apple between her teeth. She was stunned. He was so... forward.

"Well, I bet you're wondering why you're here Clary," he said after a couple moments. "You're here because it's time for you to know the truth."

She leaned forward. "What-"

"Shh." He put his finger to her lips, cutting her off. "No talking. We don't have enough time for that. Just listen Clary. I am not your brother." He let the words sink in for a solid moment.

"But who-" she started again, unable to resist.

"Jonathan Morgenstern. Or as you know him," Jace made a dramatic pause. "Sebastian Verlac."

"What!? No! He's Isabelle and Alec's cousin! Not my brother! Who's Jonathan Morgenstern?!" She yelled angrily, her fingers turning into sharp fists.

"Your brother Clary. Jonathan is your brother. Valentine lied to you," Jace said softly. "He lied to hurt both of us."

"I..." she didn't know who to believe. Well, she wanted to believe Jace, but, by the Angel, she just didn't know anymore. Suddenly, a harsh breeze fluttered through the warm comfort of Central Park, and she shivered. It didn't feel so safe anymore.

"It's time for me to go Clary," Jace purred. He stood, agile, and brushed grass off of his black pants.

"No! Jace, don't go!" Clary cried out. She didn't want him to leave... it would feel lonely without him.

He looked back at her, sympathetic. "I'm sorry. But I have to leave, you know. It would be horrible to abandon the Angels of my glory." He gestured to his body, still as cocky as ever, even in a dream. "You'll remember everything soon enough." He leaned down and kissed her forehead, and in a whirl, he was gone.

She sighed, leaning back, towards the grass. The sun felt so hot on her skin, and she wondered if she would ever wake up. Well, she should at least have a nap... her eyes fluttered shut as a single butterfly danced throughout the warm air of Central Park.

I'm sorry I was gone for a while, but I got busy. Midterms and all that. Plus I got really big into Harry Potter fanfic.

Anyway, not sure when the next update will be, but it's coming. The next is the final chapter, and there might be an epilogue, but I haven't decided.

Hope you all enjoyed the Clace, and please REVIEW. The reviews go straight to my email, and remind me to update! I love when you follow and favorite, but please drop in a review.
