This is something that just came into my head.

Katniss's Point Of View

I come in the room to find Rue and Finn trying to hide something behind their backs. Finn is 13 years old when little Rue is only 7.

"What are you two up to?" I ask.

"Nothing," Rue says a little too innocently.

"Peeta, come in here!" Peeta rushes in the room.

"Is everything okay?" The blonde headed boy asks me. I point to our kids. Peeta recognizes their look before I even have time to explain.

"What have you gotten into?" He asks walking over to them. He holds out his hands and Finn sighs. Finn hands over the book that Haymitch, Peeta and I have put so much work in. Peeta's blue eyes catch mine and I nod. They already know about The Hunger Games. Finn has even seen the tape of both of our games. Rue opens the book to the page that to this day, still sends a chill down my spine.

"Who's eyes are these?" Rue asks pointing to the blood-thirsty eyes drawn onto the page. There are two pairs of them.

"Two very strong fighters," I say.

"But, I thought fighting was bad," Rue says.

"Well, it depends on what you're fighting for," Peeta says.

"There was a time where people were taught that fighting was right. They believed that was what they were born for. They were taught to fight, and to enjoy it. They trained daily," I say. Finn comforts Rue as she tries to process this information.

"For the games?" Rue asks.

"Yes. That is all they knew how to do. Bring pride to their district. They were innocent too," Peeta explains.

I take the book from Peeta and sit down on the couch.

"What were their names?" Rue asks. Peeta's hand wraps around mine. I run my free hand over the pencil marks.

"Cato and Clove, from District Two. They were star-crossed lovers, but no one else knew."
