Hello everyone! It has been a while *84 years on the background* sorry this took so damn long. A little something called life happened. And o became invested in so many other stories, but I'm also trying to put my time in my studies. I hope this chapter makes up for lost time.
For those of you wondering about Lisa being a Protector, that'll be explained in later chapters.
I own nothing but OC's
Mandy wasn't sure what she was expecting after that whole fiasco. She didn't even know how the Protectors were, and yet she just went and listened to Rainbowlight Dragon. She must be losing her mind. Or perhaps she already had lost her mind, and just completely forgot.
"What are we supposed to do now?" Mandy asked the dragon. "I did my part, but-"
"Come."
"Huh?"
"We must hurry and leave. The monkey will come for us."
It didn't take long for Mandy to figure out what the dragon meant before she was rushing outside. "Dad! We have to leave!" She said, hopping up onto Cerberus.
"Why?" Tom asked.
"Duel monsters are coming! Hurry up! Get on Cerberus!"
Tom honestly didn't need to be told twice as he climbed on top of the three headed dog monster. When she climbed up behind him, they started moving.
"Rainbow Light," Mandy said, "how do I beat an Earthbound Immortal in the spirit world?"
"Dueling is always a solution," the dragon answered, "but if you defeat them, the hosts will vanish along with them."
That honestly wasn't something she wanted to hear.
"Unless you manage to purify them."
Mandy looked up at the dragon. "I can do that?"
"Yes, but it requires the assistance of a Protector and a Signer."
"A mark on your chest?" Yusei asked.
"Yeah, we felt a burn and all of a sudden this-this weird light shows up and then these marks appeared," Alexa explained as she showed her sun mark. "We don't know what any of it means."
"Do you think Yanagi might know?" Cayenne asked as she covered up her mark.
"Possibly," Yusei said. "If he knows about the Signers, then he should know about this."
"Titus, you have one too, right?"
Titus nodded and showed his mark, water with a heart inside. "Yeah."
Meanwhile, back in the city, a lavender duel runner was seen riding down to the pathway to the Sattelite. Lisa was the owner of the runner, and sitting behind her was a little hitchhiker.
"Kitty, are you sure about this?" The blonde asked.
"Of course I'm sure!" The girl behind her, known as Kitty, insisted. "My instincts have never failed me!"
Lisa have a groan, but entered anyway. "I'm gonna regret this later, aren't I?"
"I'm sure you won't!"
That encouragement didn't reassure Lisa in the slightest as they got further and further into the drain. She was very much relieved when they were able to make it inside the Satellite. The blonde tried really hard not to shiver at the fact that not only was this place a wasteland but… It was also surprisingly empty.
"There should be people around… Right?"
Lisa looked around as she slowly drove her runner through the streets. Where was everyone?
"Hey, Lisa, I see somebody," Kitty said, pointing to a figure in a black cloak. "Hey! You there!"
"Idiot! Don't call him over!" Lisa hissed.
Kitty's shouting grabbed the figure's attention and the blonde duelist had to stop and park her runner to the side.
"Excuse me?" the greenette greeted with a friendly smile. "We were hoping that you could help us find a few people? We actually live in the same place. The city to be exact! Do you think you can help us?"
Lisa let Kitty do the talking while she gave the cloaked stranger a scrutinizing stare. Something about him seemed really off to her, but she couldn't pin point why… Until he gave a cruel smile.
"Of course, I'll help you," he said. "Help you send you on your way to the Netherworld!"
