Recap

Rapunzel sat on the cot that was in the room which was assigned as her room now. She had stood, staring at the water for a while and decided it'd be best to sit down. It was dark and she was getting tired. Did pirates always eat late? She figured they did since they would have to plunder at night. A sigh left the girl's throat as she took the decorative clips that were holding up her hair, out. Her hair was already a mess from the running. Maybe she'd be able to find a brush. Her mind then wondered to Merida. Why did she automatically hate her? Did she really cause so much of a threat to the crew? She closed her green eyes as she shook her head, letting her long hair fall behind her back. Then her ears picked up a knock on her door and she rose, only hoping that meeting the other pirates would go a lot smoother than meeting the first mate.

Rapunzel opened the door and smiled as she saw Hiccup, "You're not serving?" Hiccup chuckled and shook his head, "I cook the food, and then the crew makes their plates. Which, that being said, we should probably hurry before they eat it all." The blonde nodded and followed the brunette pirate into the room where they ate, which she decided to call 'dining hall'. The other pirates that had yet to see the governess's daughter, quieted down and looked at her. She felt her cheeks heat up as she could feel their eyes roam over her body. She bit her lip and moved to try to conceal herself the best she could. Her eyes glanced over and saw Merida in the corner eating, glaring at her. Finally, Hiccup cleared his throat and looked at the men, "Back to eating. Captain wants no harm coming to Rapunzel and she's not meant as a toy." Some grunts were heard before they turned back to their previous conversations as they stuffed their face.

The long haired woman let out a sigh of relief as she followed Hiccup to get some food. He turned to her and gave his goofy grin, "Well, try to make friends, Princess." He then went over and sat by Merida, who in turn glared a bit at him and continued eating. Rapunzel wasn't too fond of Hiccup just leaving her, but understood when he went to the first mate. She held her plate a bit tightly and decided to go sit beside one of the crew members that was husky, had a long white beard, and kind blue eyes. She smiled softly at him, "Hi, I'm Rapunzel." He let out a loud laugh, "Nice to meet you dear. They call me North." He looked at the ones around them, "Let me introduce you to some good friends." He motioned towards a muscular, tan male with grey, messy hair, "That's E.B. He's a bit rough around edges, but will protect all in crew with his life." E.B. looked up at Rapunzel, having finished the food on his plate; he had a carrot hanging out of his mouth as he sharpened a boomerang. Next North pointed to a smaller male with golden hair, "That is Sandy. He doesn't talk much, but best for spying. He's real nice." Sandy looked up at her and gave a small smile at her as he waved. Finally North pointed to the last at the table, another female. She was pale with blonde hair that went to her shoulders, a green bandana, which had two long yellow, purple, and blue feathers attached to it, held her bangs back and her happy blue eyes sparkled. "We call her Tooth because any time we have fight; she can punch teeth out of anyone and likes to keep them." Tooth spoke up, "I only like nice, pretty teeth though. Nice to meet you, Rapunzel." She smiled at her.

Rapunzel smiled at them, "It's nice to meet you all." She was glad some of the crew was friendly towards her, and definitely glad to find another female on board, one that didn't hate her. She finished eating with them and watched as many were getting drunk on rum, even the quiet Sandy. She looked over at Hiccup and saw he was still chatting with Merida. Finally she realized that the one that brought her to this lovely ship hadn't come to eat. She got up and grabbed what was left of the food and went up to the deck. Just as she thought, she saw the captain leaning on the side of it, looking out at the sea. Smiling softly, Rapunzel walked over to him, "Even a captain needs to eat to keep his strength up." Jack blinked and looked at her before grinning, "Now, serving is not something a princess like you should do." He winked at her to make her glow red before he took the plates from her hands and started eating.

As he ate, the blonde walked to the railing of the ship and rested her hands on it, staring off into the dark waters. Jack ate his full, setting the plate down before going over to her. "My crew treating you nicely?" he asked as he stroked some hair behind her ear. She blushed a bit and looked at him with a smile, "Yes. North was really friendly and introduced me to Tooth, E.B., and Sandy." The captain grinned, "Some of the finest members right there." He took her small hand into his, "Want to try to steer?" Worry washed over the long haired girl's face, "Oh, I don't think I'd be able to." The pirate barked out a laugh before leading her up the stairs to his giant, wooden wheel. "Now, I'll be right here to guide you." He placed her hands on the wheel and then stood behind her, putting his hands on hers before resting his chin on her shoulder. Rapunzel felt her heart rate speed up and her own breath hitch whenever she felt Jack's on her neck.

"Now," he said softly, "Just turn it slowly to the right." He led her hands down the wheel. "And look out at the beauty of the sea." Emerald eyes looked out at mighty ocean and she started relaxing and having fun. "Oh Jack…I've never had so much fun in my life!" She exclaimed happily. "Nothing like letting the wind take you wherever it wants to," Jack replied, looking up at the treasure in front of him. Rapunzel looked at him and smiled, "You really set me free, Jack." He stood up straight and chuckled a little, "Well, it was probably the most dangerous rescue for my crew." She let go of the wheel and turned to him, "Am I really causing that much trouble? Because if so, you could just leave me at the next port…" Her cheerful expression fell and her eyes became downcast. The captain blinked a bit and looked at her. He lifted her chin, "I wouldn't leave you alone somewhere. And I think you can eventually be a good asset to my crew." His pale hand moved to cup her cheek as his blue orbs met her emerald ones. "Well I've been known to be very good with a frying pan…," she joked softly. He grinned at her, "I'd like to see that." Then the pirate leaned in, tilting her head as he did. Rapunzel's cheeked heated up but leaned towards him as well.

Before their lips met, hard footsteps were heard on the deck followed by an angered voice, "Oi! Keep your eyes on the sea and not a pretty face!" It was the first mate and she stomped over to the wheel just as Rapunzel quickly pulled away from Jack, embarrassed. The captain narrowed his eyes at the redhead who just returned the look with a glare. "I-I'm sorry…I'm going to go to my room and get some rest…," Rapunzel spoke nervously before grabbing the dirty plate and return below deck. Merida watched the governess' daughter leave before return her gaze back on the angry face of her captain. "Who do you think you are, Merida," Jack growled out. "I'm your captain; you have no right to tell me what to do." The Scott gave a mock laugh, crossing her arms over her busty chest, "Oh excuse me, Frost. But you're a male and any male will get have blood rushing to the breeks and away from the brain when a pretty face is around. I'm your first mate to keep you in check so you don't be a bampot for some girl!" Jack slowly looked away from the curly haired woman and took a step away from the wheel. Merida let out a long breath, closing her eyes, "Now, go rest up. I'll take shift at the wheel." The captain grunted in return before going to his quarters. The redhead watched him with sad eyes before putting her hands on the wheel. She whispered softly to herself, "What does the wee lamb have…that I don't?"

So yeah I finally updated! ^^" Sorry it's kind of short, but I felt that it was a good place to stop. Sorry for the stall on all my stories, but I was finishing up my first semester in college and working so it was hard to get the break to do so. I could barely draw - I have also started on the next chapter on Three Kingdoms finally! May of taken me almost a year, but it'll be coming out soon! Thank you all for your patience :)

Update 6/15/14: I'm going to start adding some Scottish slang for Merida into my stories! I'm not Scottish so it may not be grammatically correct, so if you are and could correct me please do!

breeks: trousers

bampot: an idiot
