Hello, everyone. I know it's been a while, but I have multiple chapters for you since I've been too lazy to post them. Anyhow, here they are. I've also been sick lately, which is why I was unable to keep to my schedule, that and I'm just unable to keep to any schedule. Really, really sorry.

Warning: This chapter does contain nudity but no unsafe for work actions.

Haruhi's POV

"Face it, Haruhi. Nagisa-kun turned into a bat. There's no other explanation for why there's suddenly an albino bat in Nagisa's, an albino, place," the twins argued in unision.

"Don't be ridiculous. It's not scientifically possible for a human to turn into a animal," Haruhi replied, cradling the bat in her hands. "Also, we don't know for certain that it's an albino bat in the first place. We just know that it's a white bat."

"And just how many bats are white?" the twins questioned.

"Well, most bats eat insects which are considered meat," Haruhi said, "And Nagisa-kun is a vegetarian."

"Fruits bat eat mostly fruit."

This statement made Haruhi think. She's a vegetarian that loves fruit. She has very sensitive ears. When she moves around, she's really noisy, like a bat using echolocation, but really quiet when staying still, like a bat at rest, she thought. The more thought about it, the more she saw that Nagisa really did act like a fruit bat. Maybe Hikaru's and Kaoru's theory wasn't so crazy after all.

They had taken the bat to Music Room #3 since no one would be in there at the moment. The bat that could be Nagisa hadn't moved at all except the constant little breaths she took. "If this really is Nagisa-kun, then his guardian should know why this happened. I'll take him home," Haruhi said. She set the bat down on her clothes. "I'm going back to get my bag. You two, stay here and watch over him. Absolutely no touching him until I get back." She then turned toward the door.

Before she could even get the door, both twins said, "We're going with you!"

Haruhi stared at them for a before saying, "Fine, but you're still staying here. I'll go get all of our bags." Then she left without waiting for their reply.

After Haruhi returned with their school bags, they set off for Nagisa's home. Kaoru was carrying the bat on top of her uniform. Haruhi had slipped Nagisa's underwear and binding into Nagisa's bag, so it wouldn't fall out and reveal that Nagisa's actually a girl.

"How far away is his house? And how do you even know where it is?" Hikaru questioned.

"I went to his house yesterday to help him understand where we are in class," Haruhi responded plainly, "and we aren't even halfway there."

Both twins groaned. "Why don't we get a ride there?" Hikaru complained.

"Do you want to have to explain why we have an unconscious bat?" Haruhi questioned, looking at them with a small glare.

"No."

"That's what I thought," she said curtly and looked back forward.

They continued along the sidewalk that actually met the forest, but it went down awhile before there was the path that lead to Shigure's house. When they got to the path, she told them, "Now, we're half there."

"What? Don't tell me we have to go in there?" Hikaru asked, nodding at the forest.

"Yes," Haruhi replied, starting down the path. With Hikaru grumbling, the twins followed. They continued to walk in silence for a while until they finally came upon the traditional-style house. "Here we are."

From the top of the hill, they could see Shigure sitting on the porch. Haruhi lead them down the hill and said, "Shigure-san!" He looked up when she called his name.

"Oh, Fujioka-san. Hello there. What are you doing all the way out here? Shouldn't you and your friends be at school?" he asked with a paper fan over his mouth.

"Actually, we're here about Nagisa-kun," Haruhi responded.

"Nagisa?" He said, blinking.

Then Kaoru stepped forward and uncovered the bat. Shigure's eyes widened, and with a sigh, he said, "Oh, my. What predicament he's himself into. You might as well come inside so I can explain the situation." He stood up and turning toward the door. The Ouran students followed him in.

They all sat down at the kotatsu, and Shigure started his explanation. "For several generation, the Sohma family has been cursed by the Chinese zodiac. If we are hugged by a member of the opposite sex or our bodies come under a great amount of stress, we change into one of the twelve zodiac animals and the cat or in Nagisa's case, the albino fruit bat from a long forgotten tale," he told them. "Because he is from a forgotten tale, he was hidden away and isolated from the rest of us. In fact, his own brothers didn't even know he existed until recently."

The three stared back in shock. It almost sounded unbelievable. Hell, they wouldn't have believed Nagisa hadn't changed into a bat right in front of them. "I know this sounds crazy, but you've obviously experienced it first hand. I should've made him stay home today, but he insisted that he had to go," Shigure sighed, putting the closed fan against his forehead.

"We should probably take him up to his room," he continued, standing up.

"I'll take him," Haruhi offered.

"No. I'll do it," Kaoru said, standing up as well. He looked down at the still sleeping Nagisa bat before looking determinedly into Haruhi's eyes.

"Ok," she agreed, though worried about seeing room and him realizing that he's actually a girl.

As Shigure and Kaoru started towards the stairs, Shigure sent a small smile and a wink to her to reassure her. Haruhi glanced to Hikaru to see if he was suspicious of his behavior, and he had a thoughtful look, concentrated on one spot. "If he transforms into a bat whenever he hugs someone of the opposite gender, then why didn't he transform earlier even though he hangs all over Haruhi all the time? And why would he want to join the host club where he'd constantly be surrounded by girls?" Hikaru asked, thinking aloud.

At those words, Haruhi turned stiff, hoping he wouldn't work it out even though it was inevitable. "Weird, isn't it? Maybe I'm an exception since I look like a boy," she nervously suggested.

"But he knows that you're a girl?"

"Right..."

"And that also doesn't explain why he would willingly join the host club. Even determinedly," Hikaru commented, staring at Haruhi in suspicion.

"I guess it doesn't."

Hikaru continued to think on the topic. "He also pushed Kaoru away when he tried to pick him up," he said.

"You can't count that. He wasn't seeing Kaoru," Haruhi responded hastily.

"But his consciousness still pushed him away. Why would it do that?" Hikaru asked himself. "Unless..."

Suddenly, there was a small pop coming from upstairs. They looked up as a louder scream came from the same place. Hikaru and Haruhi rushed toward the stairs to see what the scream was for, Haruhi first since she actually knew where she was going.

As they reached the top of the stairs, they came upon the scene of Shigure hunched over in laughter and Kaoru was pressed up against a closed door with a completely red face. Haruhi raised an eyebrow as Hikaru walked over to his brother.

"What's got you so flustered?" he asked as he pulled open the door, his twin brother protesting against it. That's when Haruhi noticed that wasn't the door that lead to Nagisa's and Tohru's room Shigure must've tried to hide Nagisa's true gender by putting her in one of the boy's room, most likely Yuki-senpai's.

Hikaru opened the door to reveal a naked Nagisa, sitting up in the bed. Luckily, the covers were covering her lower parts. He just stared there, frozen and his face turning completely red as well.

Nagisa looked around the room with half-lidded eye before getting out of the bed, not even trying to cover herself. "Why am I in Yukinii-chan's room?" she asked, rubbing her eyes. Both Haruhi and Hikaru looked away to the side.

She probably isn't conscious of her naked state since she's in a depressed mind set, Haruhi thought, but then Shigure butted in.

"Nagisa-chan, you should probably get dressed. Most people aren't as accustomed to nudity as you are," he told her.

"Wait. Being like that doesn't embarrass her?!"

"Ok," Nagisa responded. She walked out the door, passed Hikaru and Haruhi casually and into the room she shared with Tohry.

Haruhi tried to play if off, saying, "So, it looks like Nagisa-kun is really a girl, huh? Well, that's one mystery solved."

"If she's really a girl, then why is he going to school as a boy?" Hikaru questioned Shigure. Though now that Haruhi thought about it, she was really curious about that as well. Why was Nagisa pretending to be a boy?

"Well, the head of our family, Akito, decided that she must so that it would be less likely for her to be hugged by males, and Akito's word is absolute to anyone in the the Sohma family," Shigure explained, straightening up from when he was bent over laughing. "Or at least that's the reason we've come up with. We don't really question what Akito says."

"You should start questioning him!" Kaoru exclaimed, getting out of his shocked state.

"Why are you yelling?" Nagisa asked, standing outside her bedroom door. She was now fully dressed in a bright red skirt and a plain white v-neck shirt. She still looked like she was in a daze.

"Are you ok, Nagisa? You're still looking sort of out of it," Haruhi asked eyes soft with concern.

"Don't worry about it quite yet. Nagisa's not exactly a morning person. Nor is her brother. Anyways, if she's still like that after a while, then we'll want to see if she's feeling ok. Just give her a chance to wake up first," Shigure explained. "But I knew I should've made her stay home today."

"Yeah. Why did she go to school today?" both twins questioned him, staring at him suspiciously.

"She insisted on going. She pretty much yelled at me," he told them. "I guess I should've figured out something wasn't right when she did that."

"Well, yeah. Someone yelling at you for no reason is a pretty good sign that they aren't feeling well," Haruhi responded.

"I guess I'm just so used to being yelled at, it slipped my mind," he said. Haruhi and the twins looked him in confusion and slight concern.

"If you're getting yelled at, it's either by your editor for not doing your work or by Yukinii and Kyonkichi for being an idiot or a perv," Nagisa commented plainly. "By the way, shouldn't you be working on your manuscript?"

"But I have to take care of my precious cousin!"

"I'm fine now."

"Really?"

"Really. See. I'm smiling."

There was a silent pause before Nagisa yelped, "Ouch! You pinched me!"

Shigure just smiled. Nagisa was intensely glaring holes into him. After a minute of that, her face softened, and tears burst through her eyes. She fell to her knees, bawling into her hands.
