Rule #7-Clint Barton must follow all rules during team building exercises

When you work with a group like the Avengers, teamwork is an extremely important factor. So what's a better way to build that teamwork then with some fun games following up with horrible punishments. Every month one member would decide the game being played for that month and go from there. This month was Natasha's turn, she decided what would be a better team building exercise then a nerf gun fight. The evening Natasha announced the activity, Clint went in to the vents like he does most nights along with his laptop to check and see if nerf made a bow and arrow.

Now Clint was an assassin, of course he knew how to handle a real gun no less a toy gun. But he always felt at ease with a bow in his hand and a quiver full of arrows perched on his back. When he looked at Wal-Mart's website to find they actually sold nerf bow and arrows he couldn't help but let a wide smile spread across his face. He quickly crawled around the vents back to his bedroom, dropped his laptop on his bed and snuck out of the tower before Wal-Mart closed.

One week later, the team all met up in the training room which was set up look like a battlefield courtesy of Natasha. Clint walked in to the training room with a smirk on his face and the plastic bow and arrows under his jacket.

"What are you smirking about, Clint?" Janet asked as she walked beside the archer.

"Oh let's put it this way Jan, I have a great advantage coming in to this." Clint responded, not even glancing over at Janet. Janet was of course curious what he had up his sleeves but she didn't bother asking as Natasha was about to explain the rules.

"Alright everyone, there will be two teams of four, whoever's whole team is down first are the losers. As per usual the winning team will decide the losing team's punishment. In this battle you're only allowed to use one weapon and one weapon only and that is your nerf guns. A person is out only if they get shot anywhere from the collar bone down. These may be toys but oh do they hurt like hell if you get shot in the head. Got it?" Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"Excellent, I will be the team captain for one team, Steve you will be team captain for the other." Steve nodded and stepped up and away from the group and stood by Natasha.

"Steve you choose first." Natasha offers.

"Thank you Natasha. My first pick is Thor." Thor cheerfully stepped up beside the soldier as he was always happy when one of his teammates chose him first.

"Alright, my first choice is Clint." Clint nodded and smiled at Natasha as he walked up to stand beside her. Natasha was always suspicious when Clint was smiling a bit more than usual, but now was not the time to ask questions so she just brushed it off.

"Bruce."

"Janet."

"Jennifer."

"Tony."

"Alright, my team to the left side of the room, Steve's to the right. When I yell go, the game starts."

The groups of four walked to the opposite sides of the room and got in to their positions.

"Ready...set...GO!"

As soon as the word was escaped Natasha's lips, Tony and Janet lunged in to action as did Thor and Bruce. Clint, Steve and Jennifer hid behind some of the barriers while Natasha was crawling around the room hoping for a sneak attack. As everyone was distracted, Clint swiftly got his bow and arrow prepped for battle and sprung in to action.

He leapt over his barrier just as Steve emerged from his with Jennifer behind. Clint took Thor out quickly as his large frame made him an easy target, hitting the thunder god smack dab in the middle of his chest. Bruce tried to shoot Clint in the chest as well but due to his lack of work with guns, Clint dodged the plastic bullet with ease. Clint in turn shot Bruce on the right hip which caused Bruce to stumble back slightly at the impact. While Clint focused on Bruce, Steve shot Janet on her right arm. As Jennifer was about to shoot Tony, Clint wiped out an arrow and shot the hand that was holding the gun. Jennifer dropped the gun, clutched her hand and winced in pain. Not even paying attention to Jennifer's pain, Clint turned around and shot Steve just below the left side of his collar bone before Steve could sneak up behind him and shoot him.

As Clint stood there with pride on his face, he suddenly felt something hard hit him in the back of the neck. Clint turned around and saw Natasha standing there with her gun in her hands and an angry look on her face. As Natasha slowly approached him, Clint grabbed the back of his neck and rubbed the spot where the bullet hit him in a clockwise motion with his thumb.

"What part of the only weapon allowed is a nerf gun do you not understand?" Natasha asked in a monotone voice.

Clint paused for a moment before replying. "Well you are the winning captain so I really don't see the issue."

Short Epilogue: Instead of the losing team getting punished, Clint was punished by being forced in to a classic stockade built by Tony and have balloons full of different items such as water, ketchup, chocolate syrup and much more thrown at him. The upcoming month for Clint to decide which game they play was also taken away from him and given to Natasha.

A/N:Thank you to Truly Sherlockian for this awesome idea. When I first saw it I immediately thought "Oh, this is gonna be fun to write.". The whole team building exercise idea was mine however the horrible punishment was based off of Smosh Games 'Smosh Game Bang' where the losers must go through a punishment. Because let's face it, the thought of the Avenger's torturing each other with silly punishments like that is quite amusing.
