Caroline moved into her dorm room on a Friday. That Saturday, she went to the store to get some food. When she returned, waiting in the dorm was a mini fridge and a suitcase. Taped onto the fridge was an envelope with very familiar handwriting. Looking around to make sure no one was around; Caroline grabbed the envelope and opened the letter inside.

My Dear Caroline,

Since you seem insistent on remaining near the doppelgänger and all the trouble that surrounds her, I figured you could use some insurance. I won't always be close to protect you, and werewolf bites do sting. Stay safe, enjoy the mini-fridge, and remember my offer is always open.

Fondly,

Klaus

P.S: Try to save them for yourself rather than your incompetent friends.

Curiously, Caroline opened the suitcase and let out a gasp of surprise. There were blood bags, at least 10 of them. She smelled one, oh. It wasn't just anyone's blood, it was Klaus's blood. His blood was the one thing that could save her from a werewolf or hybrid bite.

How long had it taken him to drain this much blood from his body? Had it hurt? And all of this, for her? Yes, he had saved her the day of Graduation and freed Tyler and promised to wait for her, but this? It was too much. No one had ever done anything like this for her.

Before she had time to think, she heard the door begin to open. She only had a moment. She grabbed the suitcase and hid it under her bed.

Elena and Damon entered the room as Caroline hid Klaus's note in her purse. Giving Elena a quick smile, she started to leave.

"Where are you heading blondie," Damon asked.

"None of your business."

"Cute Mini-fridge, Caroline," Elena remarked. "Did you buy it?"

"No, a," Caroline paused, "friend sent it to me."
