"HARRY JAMES POTTER!"
"I'M SORRY! NO, NO, PLEASE, RORA C'MON! NOT THE FACE! ARGH!"
Hermione glanced up as her former best friend darted through the living room in Riddle Manor. It held a large Christmas tree with sparkling white lights and handmade ornaments collected over the years.
Aurora advanced menacingly on the boy she'd grown up with, who was staring at her with pure terror in his eyes.
"Sweetheart," Hermione interjected softly, only to be growled at by her normally levelheaded granddaughter.
"I love you Grandmum," the teen snarled through gritted teeth. "But he went too far this time."
"What did you do Harry?" she asked, turning and planting her fists sternly on her hips. The Gryffindor alternated between pleading looks to his unknown one-time best friend and his best friend from childhood.
"Oh, I'll tell you what he did," Aurora laughed harshly, causing Harry to flinch horribly. "The idiotic prat thought it would be a good idea to change all of the posters in my room to flash pictures of Theo and I! And if that weren't bad enough, he charmed them to spout love sonnets and marriage vows! Then he actually invited Theo over just now and showed him my room, saying I did it myself!"
The Slytherin had worked herself back up into an angry state, practically hissing in rage. Harry, in an unexpected bout of perceptiveness, donned his most apologetic expression, jutting his lip out in a pout as he'd seen his Godfather, Aurora's father, do one too many times to his Godmother.
"I'm sorry, Rory," the Gryffindor pleaded sincerely. "You-you're like a sister to me, and I didn't like this looks that Nott was sending you, but I didn't actually know that you gave him looks back, so I did that to try and scare him off."
Hermione could see her granddaughter calming back down to her usual state and shot her an encouraging grin. Rolling her eyes, the Slytherin haughtily flicked her hair over her shoulder, staring down the internally cheering Gryffindor.
"You aren't cute enough to beg Potter," she stated in disdain, roving her eyes over his form like she was examining him. The dumbfounded expression on Harry's face was worth it, apparently, as Aurora smirked smugly and skipped out of the room with a triumphant hair flick.
"Do you know what just happened there?" Harry questioned her curiously. Hermione chuckled, moving over to ruffle the teen's messy hair.
"Women sweetheart," she sighed while hugging the content boy. "You shall never understand them."
Looking back on her life, Hermione Riddle, former Dumbledore, previously Granger, couldn't find anything that she would change. She had two children, Sebastian Riddle and Adriana Black, five beautiful grandchildren, Michael Riddle, Christopher Riddle, Lyra Riddle, Aurora Black, and Leo Black. Not to mention her extended family and friends.
Michael and Helene married two years after they graduated Hogwarts and were currently expected their third child, having two girls prior to that. Christopher had followed in Charlie Weasley's footsteps and become a dragon tamer and was dating a fellow tamer from France who was quite nice. Lyra was dating a very nice Hufflepuff and working as a healer in St. Mungo's freshly out of Hogwarts.
Aurora and Theodore Nott were expecting their first child after being married for three years. There wasn't a couple that fit better than those two, and Sirius had put aside his Slytherin differences just for his darling princess. Leo and the youngest Potter, Violet, began dating when she was a seventh year and the whole family was waiting for Leo to ask for her hand. Sirius and James couldn't have been happier for the union of their youngest children.
Ron Weasley married Lavender Brown, much to Hermione's dismay, but the latter seemed to mature with the former's assistance.
Fred and George married Katie Bell and Angelina Johnson, respectively, and Hermione ordered from their joke shop as often as she could to send to her family.
As for Harry, he and Ginny had been married for four years and she was pregnant with their second child, Remus Sebastian. Their first, James Sirius Potter, was already flirting with Bellatrix's second granddaughter.
Harry James Potter lived a life of luxury. His mother and father adored him dearly, he was blessed with a younger sister whom he loved very much, and now was a father of his own. He'd never fought a Basilisk, nor could he speak parseltounge, he was never haunted by dementors, he never knew the pain of losing a loved one, nor had he needed to fight for his life. He never knew Hermione as anyone but his grand-godmother.
And she loved him for it with every fiber of her being.
I'm SO sorry it took so long to update! I'm also sorry that the epilogue finishes here. I couldn't think of anything else to write, but I wanted to make Harry's life happier.
