Hey there guys! We haven't abandoned this story,we've just been rather busy! In the last chapter you may remember an author's note about us going to Italy and it was semi successful? Yeah, if you count visiting Mc Donald's despite being told that's one thing we won't do, running halfway across an airport, staying up all night only to zonk out in a hotel, being offered shots, doing a three point turn in the middle of the road, being stopped at customs twice because of the metal detector and your sister locking the both of you out of the hotel room all within the first twenty four hours then you could say it was successful. Did I mention we were only there a week? Hopefully the next chapter should address some more of our shenanigans there! Peace Out! TG101 :-D x

"...two,one."

As soon as Gru said 'one', the front door burst open and a Yoda came charging through, closely followed by a princess and a minion.

"That was awesome!" The Yoda said, still wearing a pink hat. "Number ten were handing out...like proper candy bars! I got a Baby Ruth off them! And Nerds!"

The minion babbled in agreement, holding up a giant pillowcase full of candy and pulling out a box of nerds. "Ta da!"

Gru blinked"I take it you had a good time?" he questioned, lifting Agnes onto his lap. He chuckled as she tried to stay awake, her mouth covered in chocolate.

"Uhuh." she smiled sleepily, losing her grip on her candy bag and making it fall with a small thud. "Gru, can I sleep on you?"

Gru laughed, picking up her pillowcase and taking out a peanut butter cup. He popped it into his mouth and chewed thoughtfully.

"Hm,not bad."

"Oh I'm sorry, I thought candy was for little kids?" a voice questioned jokingly, making Gru roll his eyes.

"No no no, I said dat trick or treating was for little kids. I never said anything about eating de goodies." Gru argued back, his face softening as Agnes' body went limp in his lap. "You tired?" he mumbled, stroking her hair.

The young girl sighed sleepily, maneuvering her position so that she was comfortable.

"She's so sweet." Lucy marveled, making Gru look at her questioningly. "What?"

"Don't let de cute exterior fool you. She's an evil mastermind in de making." Gru said, standing up with Agnes in his arms.

"I thought I was the evil mastermind in the making." Edith piped up,frowning at her father.

"Now Edith, Gru's already explained this to you. Agnes is the evil mastermind, Margo is the brains and you'll be the weapons expert." Lucy chided, pulling off the pink hat, much to Edith's annoyance. "Come on guys, bedtime!"

Later that night, Lucy sighed switching on her light. Something was bugging her but she didn't know what. Then she realised. It was half past two and Gru wasn't there.

She rolled her eyes, padding down the corridor where a slither of light was coming from two separate rooms which she quickly figured out to be the bathroom and the girls' room.

"...dis is what happens when you eat too much candy." Gru's voice explained, which was followed by a small groan and a flush.

"I hate Halloween." Edith mumbled into Gru's chest, allowing a small sniffle to escape."It sucks."

Gru sighed, knowing he would end up in this situation at so like he did last year and the year before."It does not suck. It only sucks because you pigged out on de candy again like you do every year. Stay dere and I'll get you some ginger ale."

As Gru shut the door, he started as he saw Lucy. "Hi." he said, his heart racing as he calmed down. "I need to get Edith some ginger ale, she's uh, not feeling too good. Pigged out on de candy again."

"Okay, I'll be in here with her." Lucy smiled, kissing him on the cheek, making Gru blush."Edith, are you okay?" she whispered, placing a cloth under the cold tap in the sink.

Edith weakly shook her head, still curled up in a ball. "I ate too much candy again." she mumbled ,repeating what Gru had said moments earlier.

Lucy chuckled "I can see that. Alright, let me put this cloth on you alright? I can tell you're feeling hot."

Edith nodded, groaning as her stomach flipped over again."I hate this!"

"Well that should teach you not to eat as much candy or at least pace it out a bit." Lucy chided, grimacing as the young girl threw up on her feet.

"Lovely." she muttered dryly, rolling her eyes. "Alright, Gru's coming back up, okay? Just calm down." she soothed, rubbing her back.

Several minutes passed before Lucy heard the familiar creak of the stairs, making her sigh in relief.

"She's all yours."

As Gru tended to his daughter, Lucy marveled at his skill. He really knew what he was doing with all this parenting stuff.

Maybe she'd have to get lessons.
