A/N: Please don't hate me. This story has just gotten on my nerves and I don't like it anymore. It's too drawn out for my liking, and I don't even know about the plot. It's been going for a while, so I think it's time to put it away for good. I've been putting it off for so long hence all the random stories. Trust me. I didn't forget about this one. I just don't know what to do with it now. It's too far out there for me to reign back in suitably. I want to create a story that has a focused plot for me to focus on, like One Step At a Time. Since July, my writing has drastically improved, and rereading the early chapters makes me cringe. I just think it's time to move on from it. If you hate me, okay. I'll live with it. It's not like I'm giving up writing. That's not the case. I just don't know what to do with this anymore, and it's pointless for me to just keep going on and on with it if it's just going to keep getting so far off track than intended. So this is the final chapter of this story. Honestly, it feels great not having to worry about updating it now. I'll be working on a new multichapter. Hopefully it will be one that doesn't suck quite as much. Thanks for putting up with me and my terrible writing for so long.

Chapter 29:

Aubrey took a deep breath and twisted the ring around her slender finger. Six hours. In six hours, she'd be marrying the love of her life, her best friend, her soul mate. Today was the big day, and she couldn't exactly pinpoint her exact emotion. It was a lot of excitement with a little bit of fear along with a hint of sadness. She's not sad about marrying Jesse, of course not! Marriage means growing up. For her entire life, all Aubrey has wanted to do was grow up. She wanted to have that successful job with a wonderful husband and two kids, a girl and a boy. She wanted the typical American Dream or whatever you would like to call it. College flew by, and when she and Jesse moved to the City together, she started to fear growing up. Money wasn't an issue. It never has been. They both had great jobs they were juggling on top of Grad school. They were both responsible, so it wasn't fearing responsibilities. It was just fear in growing in it of itself. It's hard to explain, but you know it when you feel it.

It didn't take long for Aubrey to realize that she wanted to marry Jesse. There was just something in her heart telling her that he is the one. He is the one she is going to spend the rest of her life with and have a family and buy a house and a car together and all that jazz. He knew it too, and that's why they worked out so well. People thought they were the oddest couple at school, the fun and easygoing young man with the tight, perfectionistic independent young woman. Her father had said she was "acting out" and "craving attention" because he was not the man he ever envisioned for his little girl. She was to have the best of the best, for example a lawyer or a doctor, not a composer. But then again, Aubrey was supposed to go to law school or medical school, but she went a different path...music...her only love apart from Jesse.

Jesse knocked down Aubrey's walls slowly but surely. He weaseled his way into her life by the little things, and he can't deny it to this day. Aubrey Posen had always intrigued the curious young man, so when the chance to really get to talk to her arose, he snatched it right up. Thankfully he took that opportunity seeing how they began dating not incredibly long afterward. Jesse fell head over heels in love with her, and the entire world knew, but he didn't care one bit. He was in love, and he was going to let everyone know.

Aubrey was a little more conservative. She didn't proclaim it to the world, but everyone definitely noticed something inside her changed. She wasn't as uptight as usual and she constantly had a smile on her face. Just the thought of Jesse warmed her heart, sending a huge grin to corners of her mouth. She was in love!

They were only a month into their relationship, and for some people that's too soon, and for others, that's too long, but that's when they knew. They knew they were completely in love with each other, but they weren't exactly sure how to say it without scaring the other off in fear that they weren't ready for those three powerful, little words yet.

Chloe and Beca knew they loved each other. It was just the matter of getting them to confess it. The two took the newish couple out for an early dinner and bowling, allowing them to get a little more personal, hoping they'd say it eventually.

After bowling, Aubrey and Jesse climbed into his car to head back to campus, but he turned off in a different direction, creating curiosity for Aubrey. It was gorgeous out, and neither one of them will ever forget that night. The night they finally said "I love you" to each other. It was intimate. It was personal. It was just for the two of them without the whole world having to know just yet. The sky was clear as the stars shown down on them on the hood of his car as they laid there next to each other, looking up but occasionally stealing glances at each other. Once their lips met, it was a whole new feeling underneath it. It was something so much more powerful than anything they had ever experienced. I guess you could say it was a "True Love's Kiss" if you're into the whole fairytale thing, but to them it was the start of something new and wonderful.

Aubrey sat on the arm of the ottoman as her mom scurried about the hotel room. Her mother had insisted on getting rooms there since the church was right across the road, and it was a very extravagant hotel, so the reception would be in the ballroom. Aubrey didn't care about the little details like that. Well, she did, but she only cared to an extent. She wanted everything to be perfect, but she really just wanted to marry Jesse. Everything else was just an added bonus to tie her fairytale together. There was a light knock on the door, and her mother ran over and opened it slightly.

"Are you two seeing each other before vows?" she asked quietly.

"Is she in her dress already?" Aubrey heard him ask to which her mother shook her head 'no'. "Then we are fine to see each other. That was the agreement." he explained as she opened the door for him to come in.

Jesse immediately made his way over to Aubrey who had a small yet sweet smile on her face. Her heart swelled and her stomach fluttered as his dorky grin brightened up the entire room. He gently tilted her chin up and placed a soft, gentle kiss against her warm lips, earning a smile from her. "Hey, sweets." he said quietly before sitting down in the ottoman, pulling her onto his lap.

Aubrey giggled softly and wrapped her arms around his neck, placing a quick kiss on his cheek. "Hi, babe." She giggled once more. Jesse wrapped his arms around her tiny body and placed a featherlike kiss on her shoulder, slowly moving to the base of her neck. "Can't you wait until tonight?" Aubrey asked teasingly, moving away slightly so she was out of his mouth's reach.

"You're just too irresistible, sweets!" Jesse smirked. "But anyways, I was coming to check on you, make sure you're still here and didn't leave me hanging."

"No running, Jess. We promised." Aubrey gently reminded him,

"I know, Aubs. Just making sure. Now is your time decide if you want to go through with this though."

"Hey Jesse, let me let you in on a little secret." Aubrey began, leaning in closer to him. "In 6 hours, we are going to be husband and wife, and nothing is going to stop us." she whispered in his ear, her lips lingering above his skin.

"I love you, Aubrey Rose Posen." Jesse laughed softly.

"And I love you, Jesse Dean Swanson." Aubrey reminded him, placing an innocent kiss on his lips, leaving him begging for me. "Patience young grasshopper." she whispered jokingly, getting off of his lap.

Jesse stood up and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into his body. "I'll see you at the alter!" he whispered, placing a small kiss on her forehead.

"I'll be the one in white."

Jesse always had a plan. He's had the same plan since they started dating, making a few changes here and there, but the overall idea never changed. He couldn't wait to finally be able to carry it out for once.

It was their fifth year together, and they were still living in their little apartment in New York. Things were great for the two of them. School was completed, and they both had great jobs leaving them pretty well off for a young couple in the City. Jesse wanted to do something special for her since she had been swamped with work lately. The skyline was their special place. Sure, it's pretty cheesy, but that's where they would take Rocky when they wanted to get out of the house for a while.

"What are we doing, Jess?" Aubrey kept asking as they walked down the street hand in hand.

"Am I not allowed to do something special for my beautiful girlfriend of five years?" Jesse sighed sarcastically as he gave her hand a small squeeze.

"No, you are!" she giggled, squeezing his hand in return. "I'm just curious, that's all!" she added with a wink.

"I know, sweets." he smirked.

Jesse dragged her to the skyline and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind her, kissing the top of her head gently. "I love you" he said softly, turning her around so she was facing him now.

Aubrey giggled and stood on her tiptoes, placing a small kiss on his lips while holding onto the collar of his shirt. "I love you so much." she cutely giggled into his ear.

"Close your eyes, princess."

Aubrey raised an eyebrow and smiled suspiciously at him before she complied and squeezed her eyes shut. She felt his arms disappear from her waist, sending a rush of cold air around her since he wasn't there to keep her warm anymore.

"Okay, open them." she heard him say a little nervously.

Aubrey opened her eyes, but it took a second to comprehend what was happening. She saw Jesse down on one knee with the biggest grin on his face.

"Jesse what-"

"Shh. Don't kill my moment." he teased. "Aubrey, that night I first confessed my love for you, it was different. It was so special just to spend that time alone and say 'I love you' to each other. It meant the world to me because you are my world. There is a certain kind of love for that special someone, and you can't just choose that person. That person has to be your soul mate, your best friend, the love of your life, your lobster if you must, and you Aubrey? You are all the above. I think about you all the time, when I wake up, and before I fall asleep. Aubs, you are that missing puzzle piece that I've been looking for my whole life, and now that I've found you, I'm never letting go of you. Your laugh, your smile, you're perfect to me in every single way, and I wouldn't change a thing. So, Aubrey Rose Posen, would you do the absolutely wonderful honor of becoming my wife? Fully completing my life? Spending the rest of your life with me?"

Jesse opened up the small, square box, revealing the ring he had picked out just for her. He got a little nervous when she didn't say anything at first. Instead, she looked at him with tears of happiness budding at the corners of her eyes. Jesse's heart stopped for a second as he saw her staring back at him. Whatever she said at this moment would change his life forever. She held his heart in her hand, and she had the power to change his life.

A smile erupted on Aubrey's face, and she threw her arms around his neck. "Of course, you idiot!" she exclaimed before pressing her lips against his, not allowing him time to react to her response quite yet. Jesse picked Aubrey up and spun her around in a circle before setting her down. He held up her left hand and carefully slid the ring on in front of her promise ring he had gotten her for her birthday almost four years ago. He placed a soft kiss on her fingers before catching her gaze.

"I love you, Aubrey."

"I love you, Jesse." she whispered before pressing her lips against his again, as his hands snaked around her waist, pulling her against his chest.

Aubrey stood in the mirror and looked herself over again. As many times as she had been in the dress for fittings, she could never catch her breath as she saw it on. She reached her hand up and brushed a loose curl out of her hand before her mother swatted her hand. Aubrey pursed her lips and stared at her for a second. She means well, but Aubrey doesn't need to stress anymore than she already does.

Her hair was in a pristine waterfall braid with soft curls. She argued with her mom about the makeup, wanting a more natural, soft look, nothing too heavy. Her mother finally gave in and let her settle with that. Aubrey knew she didn't need makeup to "wow" Jesse. He always makes that very clear to her even when she feels she looks her absolute worst, and he's seen her at it.

Chloe, Beca, Stacie, Jessica, and Jordan came bubbling into the bridal room at the church in their bridesmaids dress. Yes, Beca was actually wearing a dress willingly.

"Aubrey, you look beautiful!" Chloe gushed, wrapping her in a hug.

"Thank you Chlo. You all look amazing!" Aubrey told them as she looked them up and down, earning smiles from each one of them.

"Are you ready to do this, Bree?" Chloe asked, standing in front of the mirror with her. Chloe had always been there for her. Hell, if it weren't for her, Aubrey wouldn't have had the courage to do something about her feelings towards Jesse. Chloe is the only reason she is standing where she is today.

Aubrey nodded her head and glanced over at Chloe who was staring at her in awe. "I'm more than ready." she assured her with a smile. "Where's my dad?"

"He's waiting for you in the hall."

Aubrey nodded and slid into her heels before heading out the door. Her dad caught her eye as the door opened to the hallway.

"Aubrey." he breathed, taking in her appearance. "You look stunning." he exclaimed, holding out his arm for her to hold onto before they walked.

"Thank you, daddy." she sighed with relief. Her bridesmaids followed her out and walked with them towards the sanctuary doors. Chloe turned around and smiled at Aubrey once more.

"I love you, Bree." she giggled.

"I love you too, Chloe." Aubrey echoed with a small smile. "Thank you...for everything."

"Hey Aubrey?" Jordan chirped up, adjusting her dress before they walked out. "Welcome to the family."

"It's an honor, Jordan."

One by one, the girls walked down the aisle, leaving Aubrey alone with her father.

"I know I've always been hard on you, Aubrey, but it's because I love you and want the very best for you." he began, looking over at her as she gripped the flowers in her hand.

"I know." she finally sighed, looking up at him.

"You are a beautiful young woman whom I am proud to call my daughter. I love you very much, and that boy out there, he loves you more than I thought he ever could. I know he is going to take care of you for the rest of your life, and if he doesn't, I know how to find him."

"Thank you." Aubrey sighed with relief. "I love you daddy."

"I love you too, princess." he said, kissing the top of her head lightly. "Now! Let's go meet your Prince Charming at that alter."

The doors opened, and suddenly, all eyes were on Aubrey. She took a deep breath and squeezed her father's arm before taking the first step. Aubrey instantly looked up and met Jesse's eyes. He was beaming, actually beaming.

As soon as the doors were pulled open, Jesse couldn't keep his eyes off of her. She took his breath away at first sight. Honestly, she looked like a princess with her hair curled and her flowing dress as she glided down the aisle next to her father, all prim and proper. He shot her a small wink as they locked eyes. Aubrey smiled shyly as they approached the alter, watching him as her father gave her away.

Jesse helped Aubrey up the steps to meet him there, holding her hands in his, staring into her stormy eyes. "I told you I'd see you here, beautiful." he smirked quietly.

"I said I'd be in white." she smirked back before everyone took their seats for the ceremony to begin.

"We are gathered here today in this beautiful place to witness the joining of two lives. This is the marriage celebration of two people who are special to two separate people have chosen this special time and place to be married to each other. The decision to marry is not entered into lightly, but rather is undertaken with great consideration and respect for both the other person and oneself. You as friends and family are able to celebrate with Jesse Swanson and Aubrey Posen in the making of this important commitment. The two have prepared their own vows for one another."

"Aubrey, I take you to be my best friend, lover, and confidant to walk with me through joy and trial and face life by my side from here on out. I promise to fight fair, to be patient, to show you I love you every day. I promise that you will always be my first priority." he began, gazing into her eyes as she listened to his powerful words. "I promise to love with actions not just words. I promise to be adventurous and brave with our future that we will dream together, to laugh with you, and cry. I promise to always support you no matter what, and I promise to hold you hand, sweets." Jesse searched her eyes and saw that girl he's been in love with from day one. "And Aubrey," he began with a softer voice. "I promise that I will always love you."

Aubrey pushed back the tears as she began to speak, a small lump forming in the back of her throat. "Jesse," she began but with a small crack in her voice. "I choose you for life. You're it, baby. I promise to be spontaneous and cherish each moment. I promise to be fair. I will be willing to try new things, and I will witness your beautiful life. I promise to always take time for us, Jess." Jesse wiped some of her stray tears away as she poured out her heart. "Man I had this all planned out." she sighed as she sniffled slightly, earning some laughs from those in the audience. "You are my best friend in the entire world, and I couldn't ask for a better person to share the rest of my life with. Jess, you broke down those walls I had spent so long building up. I didn't want anyone to get past them, but here you come one day waltzing in like nothing, and slowly but surely, I opened up to you. Now look where we are. We are standing in a church about to be married! Thank you for making me who I am today and for encouraging me with everything that I can possibly do. I can only hope to do the same for you for the rest of our lives together. Jesse I love you to the moon and back a billion times. I never want to leave your side if I can help it. You're my soul mate, my best friend, the love of my life, my lobster if you must." she said with a small wink. "I want to wake up in your arms everyday and love you unconditionally. And when I say this, I mean it. No running." she laughed softly. "Jesse Swanson, I love you, and I always will. Nothing will ever change what we have, because it's something special." she finished with a huge smile on her face.

"And now the rings...these rings from this time forward shall be a symbol of your love. Let these circles signify to all that your commitment is deep and your love is true." the pastor began again. "Jesse, repeat after me. In token of the vows made between us."

"In token of the vows made between us..." he echoed with a smug grin on his face.

"With this ring, I pledge to you my love and my life."

"With this ring, I pledge to you my love and my life."

"Aubrey, repeat after me." he instructed once more. "In token of the vows made between us, with this ring, I pledge to you my love and my life."

Aubrey repeated the lines, staring into Jesse's dark, yet warm eyes.

"You have vowed to be loyal and loving toward each other. May you keep these vows which you have made here today. May you comfort each other, share each other's joys, console each other during times of trouble, and help each other as husband and wife. May you encourage each other in whatever you set out to achieve. And, most importantly, may you continue to love one another forever. Aubrey Posen and Jesse Swanson, by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Jesse, you may kiss your beautiful bride." he finally said.

Jesse moved his hands from hers and gently cupped her face, leaning down to her. He pressed his lips against hers as they finally met as one. Aubrey wrapped her arms around his waist as she kissed him back, earning applause from the congregation. They didn't want to end the kiss. They would be fine skipping the reception and going straight to the honeymoon. Paris. She's always wanted to go there, and he was surprising her with the plane tickets.

"Mister and Misses Jesse Dean Swanson!"

Aubrey and Jesse locked hands as they walked down the aisle together, playfully nudging each other on the way. Once outside, Jesse wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into his arms. "Mrs. Jesse Swanson. I really like the sound of that." he smirked, meeting her lips once more.

"I love you Mr. Swanson." she giggled.

"I love you Mrs. Swanson."

The End.

Cue tears or whatever. Sad to say this story has come to an end. I hope this was a good way to end it! I love you guys!
