Chapter 3: Introducing The Dancers

"We've got to go, I can't be late for practice!" Luke yelled for what seemed like the eighteenth time that morning as he waited impatiently for his four new recruits that he had to beg Natalie to allow to room with them at least until this whole crew thing was over.

"Keep your frilly panties on we're coming!" Rina yelled back from the dining table after stuffing the last of Natalie's homemade chocolate chip pancakes in her mouth as she giving the rest of her crew a look that told them that they were done annoying the hell out of Luke for now.

"Thanks Natalie they were yummy, but not as yummy as you," Aidan complemented while kissing Natalie's hand as she went around collecting everyone's plates. Natalie couldn't help but smile at the blond hair boy as his lame pick up line reminded her of the man she married back in the day.

"Come on pervert!" Rose growled before whacking the boy in the head and dragging the near lifeless body towards the door where the rest of the kids soon found themselves after thanking Natalie for breakfast.

"I resent that underwear comment," Luke stated with a glare at the small girl who was wearing a black skull crop shirt and blue baggy sweat pants that she had borrowed from his wife's wardrobe from when she used to be a dancer during his old gig.

"Well we all know who wears the boxers in your relationship, and it ain't you," Todd answered with an eye roll as Luke's glare fell upon him, but he soon pushed his annoyance to the back of his head as he drove through the streets of Florida praying that he didn't get stuck in traffic. Today was the day he unveiled his grueling hard work to his boss for further approval of continuing this very profitable project.

A part from whispers that hummed around him throughout the whole drive as his last four members of his crew conversed about their routines to wow Mr. Anderso they managed to get his boss' office building without any mishaps and with minutes to spare. Luke inwardly smiled when he saw Moose standing in the middle of two dancing legends that he had begged the brunet haired boy to get to help train his team. "You always aim to impress don't you?"

"Hey what can I say I'm the man," Moose boasted as the two men fist bumped before Moose introduced both Luke and the Outcast to the two dancers that embodied what the streets were all about.

"I can't believe you got the Outcasts that's so sick," Andie commented as a secretary guided the group of dancers towards the practice room that they all knew would be like a second home to them.

"I don't know why you're so amped up over a group of thieves?" Tyler questioned with a raised eyebrow as he watched Andie fist bomb Moose as if finding this group of kids was his greatest accomplishment.

"Just keep your pants on and you'll see why the boss man practically begged us to join his little dance troop," Rina retorted with venom dripping in her words as she and her group of bandits glared daggers at their new trainer. Although they seemed intimidating Tyler couldn't help but be intrigued with them, after all, they reminded him of himself before losing his best friend's brother made him clean up his act. When the secretary opened the door to the practice room the group of arrivals saw that they were the last to arrive as they glanced upon five dancers all stretching to get ready for their final audition to be fully accepted into the Ultimate Dance Crew project by the man that sat in a chair at the far corner of the room right next to the grandfather piano. Upon there entrance into the room Mr. Anderso looked up from marveling at the potential candidates that were hopefully going to make him more rich and famous across America to glare at Luke for making him wait, which never sat well in his books.

"Hey I'm Luke Kutcher, and I'm sorry about being late everyone," Luke started with a clearing of his voice to gain the attentions of the rest of the people in the room as the Outcasts made their ways towards where all the other children were seating on the wooden floor with their legs crossed listening intently for what Luke had to say. "Most of you know why I have asked you to come from places ranging from Maryland all the way to London. Each and every person in this room possesses a certain talent in the art of dance that I think I and your two new instructors, Andie and Tyler, can model into a prefect united dance crew with the potential of winning the title of the Ultimate Dance Crew."

"With that being said let the auditions begin," Mr. Anderso announced with anticipation heavy in his voice. Luke nodded towards his boss to show that he was ready for the talent show to begin as he glanced upon his students looking for anyone to volunteer to go first, but after moments of silence as he saw the worry and hesitation in all the children's eyes he ended up pointing to Rose who was blatantly ignoring his existence like the rest of her teammates were.

"Get ready to be impressed," she cooed sexually as she strutted up to the front as Luke and his two assistant instructors moved towards where Mr. Anderso sat with an interested look upon his face. The blond hair girl quickly popped a CD into the stereo and hit play, which caused the room to be filled with a familiar beat of Ciara's new song I'm out. This should knock the pants of Mr. Anderso, Luke thought as a smile played at the corners of his lips because Rose's choice of music didn't only show case her personality but also her value to the crew's popularity.

As the lyrics began to play it was like Rose became a completely different person as she not only took on the characteristics of the lyrics but her body moved perfectly to the beat of the song. Each facial expression and each movement of her curvy body only added to her arousing aura that left nearly every male in the room with wide eyes as their mouths dropped open. She definitely knows how to spice up new school hip hop, Luke thought as he tried not to be sucked under her spell. By the time the music came to the end the only words that everyone could use to describe what many were thinking would've been the best porn show they have ever witness was raw, dirty, and a heck of a lot of sexy appeal.

"Luke?"

"Yes sir?"

"How old is that girl?" Mr. Anderso questioned in shock as he watched the blond nymph strutted back to her spot next her boyfriend after giving a quick kiss on the lips.

"To young for it to be legal Mr. Anderso, and that goes for you to Mr. I'm-Married-With-Kids and Mr. I-Have-A-Girlfriend," Andie chided as looked pointedly at the old man while she closed both Moose's and Tyler's mouths before they could start drooling. The men glared at the young woman before Luke answered Mr. Anderso stating that she was seventeen.

"So does she pass?" Luke questioned only to have his smile grow larger as Mr. Anderso gave him an impressed nod of his head. Great one down, eight more to go, Luke cheered in his head as he chose Aidan to go next only because he wasn't really quiet sure the true extent to his dancing since he was the only one out of the four members of the Outcasts who thought that practicing a routine wasn't necessary.

Luke couldn't help but nip away at his nails in slight nervousness that came with not exactly knowing what the blond boy was capable of or even what he was up to. But like Rose when the music he had chosen, which was Chopped N' Screwed by T-Pain, came on he was no longer a flirtatious play boy. It shocked Luke slightly that the boy was actually taking this seriously and came into the audition with some sort of a game plan as he looked on in wonder with the rest of the dancers in the room. Every muscle and every movement Aidan made popped in sync with the music to the extent that Luke could swear Aidan's body, for the brief moments until his routine came to an end, was a living embodiment of the music itself.

"Do you think it's too late to take back the comment I made about them just being common thieves?" Tyler whispered to Moose as they watched the boy walk back to his spot next to his girlfriend while winking at few girls who literary swooned over him. Still lost in his shock he nodded a 'yes' slowlybefore they turned their attention to the director just to see him give Luke a thumps up indicating that he approved of Aidan as well. Next performances that Luke called up were the two students he managed to get from Moose's old high school, Joan Li and Ethan Miles, which were the only ones to sign up for Chase's new hip-hop program he added to the school this year.

Joan was a short half Caucasian and half Chinese girl of the age of fourteen who had her black hair in a pixie cut. She was a brilliant young girl that managed to skip a grade to get into MSA as one of its star pupils. It wasn't only her brilliance in everything she did that impressed her judges as she grooved and jived in an old school hip hop manner to Rapper's Delight by Sugarhill Gang, it was her energy that literally lit up the floor that amazed Mr. Anderso into also approving her into the crew.

The next dancer called up was Ethan who was sixteen year old boy with a natural dark golden tan to his skin with dark green eyes and brown wavy hair that was covered up with a green hood. He wasn't really the type of dancer that the director had in mind as he watched the young boy begin to stomp using almost every part of his body to make a catchy fast beat of his own. However, to Luke's fortune Mr. Anderso could also see the value this boy's talent could bring to the crew especially if they could incorporate it into the songs that they picked to battle with.

For the next performance Luke was going to pick Rachel, one of the British superstar twins that the director specially transported here to lead his new project. But right before the delicate polished girl could stand up, Jason's cousin, Dominic or otherwise known as The Wire, stood up with a cheeky smile and self-proclaimed that it was his turn while practically pushing the girl back into a seating position as he sped towards the front of the room.

"And who is he?" Mr. Anderso asked pointedly as Rachel communicated her displeasure to him with a very irritated look that told all the adults in the room that they were on the edge of losing her high-class talent, which also meant her brother's as well.

"His name is Dominic a.k.a the Wire from South Dakota; he's an expert when it comes to remixing songs as well as break dancing," Luke reported as the boy start to display his talent of defying gravity with amazing agility and strength that earned himself a comfortable spot on the team despite his rash and impatient behavior that he showed before.

The next two performers were what the Outcast's were now dubbing as the British Wonder team based on the way they had all the adults sucking up to them especially the director, Mr. Anderso. Based on all the hype that had gotten from the adults tripping over themselves built up a large amount of expectations for these two dancers in the eyes of all the dancers before them; however it didn't take long for those expectations to disappear, after witnessing Rachel's performance and if they thought it couldn't get any worse it did after Mason danced. After watching the two British dancers twirling gracefully around in front of them left all the children paralyzed in their shock including the adults, except Mr. Anderso.

Their very routine puzzled Luke greatly as he wondered what Mr. Anderso was thinking signing up a ballerina and a contemporary dancer to a team he wanted to compete in street battles. By the looks of the grin Mr. Anderso gave the two dancers as they sat down as if they were the best things to happen to the world since the internet, Luke had a feeling that the answer to his question would only make his life hard than it already was.

"What the heck was that?!" Todd exclaimed as he stood up to face where Luke was standing still riddled with shock. Todd's sudden outburst caused everyone to redirect their attention towards the fuming boy that looked like he was seconds away from punching a whole into something.

"What do you mean what the heck was that?"

"The two elephants in the room aren't hard to miss Mr. Anderso. Why the heck are they on this team?"

"Why I never, these two dancers are the finest children dancers in the world, and I doubt you can even measure up young men," Mr. Anderso replied in a stern voice knowing that if he didn't deal with this swiftly then all the favors he had called in to get these dancing superstars would all go to waste.

"Now that's a server insult if I ever heard one…maybe Outcast should bounce since it's obvious that you lied to us Luke about assembling the best dance crew," Rina suggested in a nonchalant manner as she got up to defend one of her best friends.

Hearing Rina's words got Luke to snap out of his shock with the possibility the dancers he looked all over New York for and had to be tortured to get them to agree to join his crew were thinking of leaving. "Wait please guys there's a method to our madness, so please just cool down and show the director your talents," Luke said in a demanding voice but both members of the Outcast knew that he was really putting a side all his dignity to beg them to stay, and there was nothing both Todd and Rina loved more than seeing their dance trainer and temporary guardian gravel at their feet.

"What you're just going to let them still perform after they insult both my dancing and my sister's?" Mason demanded as he stood up to glare down the director causing the man to pale over slightly because he knew he would have to take more drastic steps to diffuse this bomb.

"He has a point I will not tolerate rudeness from my dancers, and with that being said I will have to ask you two to leave without audition-"

"Oh really like you can just fire us, we quit come on guys this was just waste of time," Rina stated as all four dancers got up to head for the door with no sign of remorse or regret for their actions. The very sight left not only Luke petrified since he was losing probably the best street dancers he had ever seen, but also Mr. Anderso as well as he didn't know his decision would lead to so many dancers leaving.

But it wasn't Mr. Anderso that ran towards them knowing that if those four dancers left they would be no chance in ever winning the competition due to their lack of numbers to compete and not to mention lack of talent. If Luke was going to fulfill his end of his contract he had to fight for these dancers no matter what. "Sir you can't kick these dancers out, at least not until you can see what they can do. Because I didn't spend a day out in New York chasing after these dancers that don't only have the most knowledge of street battles than any of the other kids in this room but also have never lost a street battle. So I think we can over look a little rudeness for the sack of the crew."

"I guess you guys are lucky we don't have the time to go looking for dancers to replace you, so I'll let you off with a warning this time."

Luke wanted to face palm when he heard the director's words; he could only imagine what evil thoughts were going through the children's minds as they turned around from where they stood inches away from the door of the dance studio.

"Ok we'll stay but it's only because Luke will go crying home to Natalie if we don't," Todd replied with a devious smile pointed at Luke who merely twitched in annoyance as he saw all his colleagues turn towards him with questioning faces. The look of annoyance didn't leave Luke's face until he knew everything was getting back on track as he saw Todd begin his audition.

Like the pattern that the Outcast members have set so far his performance also left the room stunned especially Luke as he saw Todd's normal tough guy that needed anger management persona leave his body as soon as the music filled the air. His movements were graceful, light and aggressive as he turfed in front of them. The only way Luke could describe what he saw was inhuman especially how his body contorted to the music perfectly. As he stood there enjoying the amazement of the performance he could hardly believe the range of talent he found in these four children: a girl who could make someone as hot as Beyoncé look cold in comparison, an amazing popper, and a kid that turfed as good as a Jabberwocky. He could hardly wait to see what their leader had cooked up for her audition, Luke thought as the director gave him a thumbs up for Todd joining the team as well, which left one more recruit.

"I guess it's true what they say about leaving the best for last, uhn?" Todd stated as he high-fived his leader.

"Hmmph, I don't see why everyone here is fawning over you, you don't look much like a dancer…a urchin, maybe, but not a dancer," Mason taunted as she passed him on her way to the front of the dance studio. After spending a couple of days with the little devils there was one thing Luke begun to learn that although Rina was a sassy, sarcastic brat he could also sense an air of danger around her that kept her on top of someone like Todd who could easily toss Rina like a rag doll.

To his dismay he found out what it was as Rina stopped in front of the boy with a calm smiling face that emitted a menacing air that chilled everyone to the bone. She sank down to the boy's level and took a hold of his chin in order to bring his face closer to her's. "Cause I'm about to blow your fucking mind, Twinkle Toes," she whispered with an evil tone; however, as Luke watched her walk away from the still petrified boy he couldn't help but think that there was some sadistically sensual undertone to her words, and judging by how the boy's face reddened he caught on to it too.

Despite the fear she struck into the hearts of everyone around her, it was de-spelled as they all became mesmerized by her performance. Even though Luke had caught glimpse of what she was capable of nothing could have prepared him for what he saw before him as he glued his eyes to every movement that looked and felt like an extension of the music it's self. It was like a beautiful mixture of all the styles that her gang had presented mixed with crumping and break dancing being the styles that mostly stood out. Now he knew why all those kids looked up to her, not only was her dancing perfectly in beat with the music it had a rawness to it that captivated her audience. By the time the music stopped the director could barely express his emotions as he nodded with a goofy grin filled with nostalgia as her dance brought him back to the day that had started this whole project.

"You see that, that's what the street is, not some pretty twirls and leaps," Todd commented as he watched his leader indifferently walk to her seat as she soaked up the looks of amazement and awe in everyone's eyes that she passed.

"What are you implying?" Rachel demanded with an eyebrow raise Todd merely rolled his eyes at her.

"It's obvious, either you two step up or leave," Todd answered simply as he turned away from two very shocked wonder siblings, never in their lives have they ever needed to step up to someone else's level. As the day went on it became clear that they would have to, to be able to keep up with the rest of the children.
