A Trip
The Second Wizarding war had finally been won. They had lost many people in the process, watching friends die had been one of the hardest things of the war. The desire to either burst out in tears or go on a rampage for revenge after seeing one of your friends stare blankly at the sky or ceiling that had to be suppressed, had only made them want to fight harder as there had always been another death eater to fight after one had fallen but the war had finally ended. The dying had stopped.
Neville had killed Nagini in a shocking display of brutality that had been in stark contrast to the innocent boy they had met in First Year who had been terrified of everything and unwilling to harm anything. Harry had defeated the Dark Lord as everyone had expected him to do. It had been rather sneaky of him to pretend like he was dead though. The wizarding world was finally piecing itself together again. It was slow progress.
Seamus and Lavender had decided to take a break by going through the muggle London as tourists. Despite visiting magical London yearly, they had never bothered to visit the magical counterpart and they decided that this was as good a time as any to visit a place that was so close by.
They had walked around for the entire day, entering any shops or areas that caught their interest. The goblins had been very helpful when they changed some of their wizarding money into the muggle ones and had even explained how the money worked because despite being a halfblood, Seamus' parents had never bothered to take him to muggle London. They had stayed in muggle London until the lights had come on in most parts of the city and the sun had been sinking low in the horizon.
Seamus and Lavender had been able to relax for the first time since the beginning of the war and they had managed to enjoy themselves immensely. They had tried something that was an apple covered in sugar and Lavender had fallen in love with it. She had promised to return for more, much to Seamus' amusement. They had also gone to a café for lunch. The café had been painted in neutral colours but had paintings on the wall had been mythological, showing dragons, centaurs and even a couple of fairies, much to their amusement.
When they had finally been tired enough that they had to return to the wizarding world, they had been refreshed. The entire day had been a way to refresh them from the war that had just finished. It had managed to get their minds off the death that had followed the war. It had been the reset button in their minds that had managed to give them peace for a while.
It had made them closer than they had been before. The war had been hard on everyone, they had each other to lean on when they got overwhelmed.
