Afterword

Holy crap! I can't believe this book is actually finished. You know, I started working on this almost two years ago, and I never thought I was going to get it done. Really, I started it on a whim. I had an idea, and I just ran with it without any plan whatsoever. All in all, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Some of the chapters were a bit rushed and I lost control of the plot a few times, but I got it together by the end. This was my first time attempting anything like this, so there was bound to be some rough patches.

With this book, I wanted to introduce all the main characters and establish some of the key social dynamics within the Volturi itself. In the books to come, we'll be going a little deeper. We'll learn more about Dahlia and her past. We'll learn more about the Volturi and the guards. Characters like Chelsea and Afton, who were barely featured, will start to play a larger role in the story. It'll be a lot of fun, so I hope you guys keep reading.

So what can you expect in the sequel?

First, you're going to see Dahlia starting to get more comfortable in her position. Second, you'll meet the Cullens for the first time. As I already mentioned, Aro and Caius will be trying to persuade some of them to join their coven. Last but not least, you'll meet the rest of Cillian's coven and learn about their history with the Volturi.

When can you expect the sequel?

Well, currently, I'm still developing the plot and the characters. I need to take a break from this series for a while so that I can come back to it with a fresh mind. Plus, I have other books I need to finish. That being said, the wait shouldn't be too horribly long. If I had to guess, the first chapter will probably be out sometime in June at the latest. Who knows? I might have it up sooner than that.

Until then, follow me if you haven't already, share this book with your friends, and read my other books. Do whatever you want. I don't care. I'm just glad you've read this far.

Thanks for reading, everyone!
