Happy Contestshipping Day! I legit wrote this at 10:00 PM. So, it's rushed, and I apologize. I wanted to write in Drew's POV because I never do. I don't own anything I used, so keep your lawsuits to yourself.(EDIT: I changed all the 'buttholes' to 'jerk' because it seemed more IC, and fixed a few mistakes.)
I sat staring at May from across her kitchen table. Her face was scrunched together, as if she was deep in thought.
"Yo June! If you keep making that face, it'll get stuck like that." I said, tossing a roll at her. She threw the roll back at me with aggression.
"Shut up! Why does my mom always invite you over for dinner anyways?" She complained.
"Because I'm lovable."
"You are so egocentric, you jerk."
"Jerk?"
"Yes. I called you a jerk. Get over it."
"Not very threatening." I said, taking a bite out of the roll. She stuck her tongue out at me. I smirked.
"Put that thing away unless you're going to use it for something useful."
"Whatever. I'll be up in my room." She pushed her chair out and thumped away.
'Wonder what that was all about' I thought. I also got out of my chair and followed her up to the stairs that led to her room in the attic.
"Go pick out a white dress, it's a love story baby just say yes." I heard May sing. I snuck up into her room, and saw that she had headphones on and was writing something down. Sneaking up behind her, I wanted to see what she had written down. I gasped at what it was.
Dear diary, Drew's being a jerk again. Meanie. Anyway, I can't help but love him. I wish I knew if he liked me back.
I pulled her headphones off. "I do, you know." I whispered in her ear. She jumped and turned to me, face red like a rose.
"Uh, what? This? This is n-nothing! Nothing at all! Hahaha..." She babbled nervously while trying to hide her diary. I smirked.
"So, your true colors are revealed? I knew you liked me this whole time, you know."
"Yeah, sure you did... WAIT! I do not like you!" She cried.
"That's not what this says." I said, picking up her diary. "Dear diary, Drew's being a jerk again. Meanie. Anyway, I can't help but love him. I wish I knew if he liked me back." I quoted in a faux May voice. She ripped the book out of my hand.
"Stop reading my diary!" I ignored her and pulled her into a bear hug.
"You're so cute when you're flustered and angry." She stiffened, but eventually wrapped her arms around me.
"So, you revealed your true colors? I'm glad." She told me.
"Yeah, me too."
I placed a small kiss on her forehead.
"Drew?" She said.
"Yes?"
"You missed my lips." She told me.
"What?" May leaned up on her tiptoes and placed a soft kiss on my lips.
"You know," I started as we walked down the steps hand in hand. "If you weren't so short, you wouldn't have to stand on your tiptoes."
"You know, Drew, soon your true colors are going to be at the bottom of a well."
I laughed. "And I'm the jerk."
Eh, it suck worse that last years. I seriously wrote this is a half hour! Maybe I'll redo it when I'm not busy. Maybe you could leave me a review? Thanks!
