A oneshot for headphonesinn481, because she was my hundredth reviewer and I'm sorry this took so long, I've been busy with exams. Deepest apologies! But hey! Enjoy!

The pond shone in the winter light, and Jack sat in the centre with his eyes shut in thought. He had been speaking to Tooth earlier that day, about other well established spirits because Jack wasn't exactly in with the current spirit list.

"Well, I'm sure you must have heard of at least a few," Tooth had told him with a smile as her fairies fluttered around her busily.

"there's the little Matchstick girl from England, Frosty the snowman too, oh and Lady Luck she's pretty well established."

Jack frowned, sliding his crook along a golden railing and leaving a glistening trail of ice behind in.

"Lady Luck? What does she do?" He asked, he'd heard the name around before, people with those funny little cards that they scratched with coins, claiming Lady Luck was with them before throwing the card away.

"She's the Lady of luck! It's…hard to explain really but it's her job to make people lucky or unlucky." Tooth told him and Jack screwed up his face.

"Doesn't sound very nice."

Tooth rolled her eyes.

"She's a lovely spirit, remember Jack, don't judge a book by it's cover." Tooth frowned "Or a spirit by it's name."

That conversation had lead to Jack sat on his pond, eyes shut in thought.

"Your thinking if I took your luck, if that's why you fell in."

Jack opening his eyes and jumped back away from the voice, and saw a young looking spirit with long white blonde hair.

Her eyes shone golden, and her skin had a golden hue to it as well, but it was different from the golden hue that Sandy had around him.

"You didn't?" Jack asked sceptically and she shook her head.

"No. Why would I do that? Luck had nothing to do with your death." She told him, gliding across the ice to where Jack was sitting.

She peered down at him and smiled, he wasn't entirely sure what she was wearing. It kept shimmering in and out of existence so he couldn't really tell.

"What else could it have been?" Jack demanded, he wanted answers about who he was, sure, he was a guardian and he had a centre, but who was he?

Memories were good, but he had changed since his death, become a new person really but he didn't know how to become Jack the living boy again.

He was Jack Frost now after all.

"You'd have to ask fate, but he hates discussing his work." Lady Luck informed him patiently and he nodded stiffly.

"You shouldn't be so angry, it was nobody's fault. An accident, fate has no choice in what he does, he merely carries out his orders."

"Then," Jack muttered "who gives him his orders?"

Lady Luck shrugged her shoulders "There are some spirits out there that prefer to remain invisible, I doubt even the man in the moon can see them all, despite his claims."

The Lady Luck turned, frowning into the distance and sighing forlornly, before turning back to Jack.

"I have to go, duty calls and all." She smiled at Jack and held her hand out to him.

Jack frowned, but held his hand out, and she placed something into it tightly.

"I'll see you soon Jack, be safe."

She shimmered out of existence and Jack peered down at the gift she had given and smiled, a pale silver four leaf clover charm hung on a silver chain, a lucky necklace from the Lady Luck herself.

"See you soon, Lady Luck."
