Humanities Last Hope

Prologue

The Über Licker Roared in pain as several rounds tore into its muscled flesh. it looked around for its unseen attacker growling and lashing its tongue out. The Shadow Fox crouched lower and lower, stalking closer to its prey the pilot of the Fox smiled as he sent a quick burst of fire on the Licker's Back. The Licker Clawed at the Fox with its massive claws leaving a dented scratch in the Fox's armor. The Fox darted to the side dodging the Licker's forked tongue sending another burst of fire into the Licker's exposed brain. The Licker screeched as it felt the rounds tear into its unprotected brain.

Just as the Licker fell, Several Hunters charged at the Fox. It swiveled its Vulcan around to fire on the enemies, One of the Hunters jumped landing of the Fox's back tearing its claws into the armor while biting down on the Vulcan. the Fox shook itself trying to knock of the Hunter. A bullet ripped through the Hunters head knocking it off the Struggling Fox, looking up the Fox saw a Red König Wolf in a snipping place.

"Thought you could use a hand!"

The Wolf howled as it sent another bullet through two of the remaining Hunters. The Fox slammed into the side of one of the Hunters with glowing claws decapitating it. Both the Fox and the Wolf howled their victories.

"So Claire what are you doing out here?"

"What? you don't sound happy to see me Leon" Claire said smiling.

"Just the opposite" Leon said returning the smile.

"I heard you were out cleaning up so I thought I'd help you know partner?" Claire laughed.

"Its a good thing that you got here when you did or my ass would still be in a bind with those Hunters" Leon said hoping out of the Shadow Fox.

Claire climbed out of her König Wolf she was wearing black khaki's with a red shirt. Her fiery red her wasn't in her signature ponytail but it was down cascading her shoulders, Leon stared at her in awe she matched her Zoid perfectly.

"So when did you get the König Wolf?" he asked staring up at the Wolf Zoid.

"A Couple of Months back TerraSave gave it to me"

"So what about you why pick the Shadow Fox?" Claire asked

"It has optic camouflage" Leon said.

"Ah perfect for sneaking up on targets and taking them out huh?" Claire said

"yep" Leon said looking at the Fox Zoid the Fox lowered its head and nuzzled its owner.

"Well I better get going you know who Chris freaks out when I'm gone to long" Claire said.

"Maybe well see each other around"

"Yeah take care Claire" Leon said waving.

"Who would have thought that in all the years Claire would be saving me?" Leon chuckled climbing in his own Zoid.

"Well Partner we've got work to do."
