Replacement

"Knock Out, what the hell, you could have had me crushed under that boulder!"

Luckily, she was agile enough to avoid the blow when the guns fired.

The two Cybertronians transformed into their true forms, optics flaring in rage. Arcee was out on her nightly patrol shift, and sometimes when she saw Knock Out on the way, they'd usually spend time together. Those days were over now.

"Don't play innocent with me, Arcee," began Knock Out, his voice on the verge of snapping into rage. "I saw what you did with that Wrecker. What's his name? Ooh, Wheeljack!"

Her spark froze.

Knock Out saw. Knock Out saw the kiss she and Wheeljack shared. Did Knock Out hid himself when they had that conversation?

"How could you do it, Arcee?" began the red mech. "How could you move on without me?"

"Hey! You were the one that broke up with me!" she shouted. "I have just as much right to be angry at you. Did you know how much those words hurt me?"

"We can't do this, Arcee... I don't want them to hurt you. We're done."

She could see tears well up in his optics. Her own optics were beginning to feel moist. Why did he have to be a Decepticon?

"It was to protect you..." he began. "I loved you that much to let you go so you could be safe."

"If I were you I would have kept going!" she boomed, lubricant sliding down her face plate. "If I were you, I would have never given up on us... I thought if I was that important enough to you, we'd still be together, but you gave up... you gave up on me."

"But you are important to me...! You still are, I still love you."

"Well, it's too late," she breathed. "I'm with Wheeljack now. We're not together anymore, Knock Out. You don't have any say in how I move on or who I'm with, you lost that right when you left me. We don't belong to each other anymore..."

Silence. What was mere seconds felt like hours. Her insides swelled up. She wanted to hold him. Kiss every part of his face, though why hold on to something that was no longer her's?

"The basic fact of our relationship is that I love you more than you love me," he said, breaking the silence. "Which today is good news because it might just save both of our lives, and you're welcome by the way that you're not under Megatron's wrath."

"How can you say that?" More tears came to her eyes.

"I don't want to loose you...!" he cried. "And what if suddenly I went offline and there was no way to tell you, you lost so much Arcee... I didn't want you to loose me either, like Tailgate and Cliffjumper."

She slapped the red mech, small lines against his metallic face. A hard silence came. Her insides pounded inside of her.

She jabbed a finger towards him.

"Don't you dare say that to me. Don't bring in and use Tailgate and Cliffjumper against me. Don't you ever dare say you love me more and then just leave me."

"It was to protect you..."

"Don't you dare talk to me about protecting me and then leaving me half way because that is nothing, Knock Out, nothing! Compared to giving you up."

Knock Out tried to reach for her. She closed her eyes.

"Don't touch me...!" she breathed.

"Just so you know... it will always be you."

She could have pushed him further away, fire a blaster at him, though their lips found their familiar positions. For a moment, the world slowly slipped away, one by one...

"Arcee?"

Turning, a look of horror was upon her face as she saw it was no other than the Wrecker.
