"What's this?" Andy looked up at Sharon, who had just perched herself on the edge of his desk and was holding out a cup for him to take. It was well past 9pm and at this point even Lt. Provenza had gone home for the evening, leaving just the two of them.

"Green tea," she answered as he took the cup and sniffed it. He grimaced and looked at her again, trying very hard not to notice the extra few inches of leg that were exposed to him by the skirt that had ridden up considerably. Things between them had taken a turn lately, a growing, mutual attraction seemed to fill the space between them and had, at times, become intoxicating. He lost count of how many times they'd come close to letting go and just giving into their desire; of how many times they'd been just moments before doing…something…before sense came crashing down on them.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "It's very good for you, green tea is known to have several health benefits," she assured him. He gave her a dumbstruck look. "Your cleanse," she reminded him, "You've done a good job of alerting practically the entire LAPD about your new diet changes." There was a touch of humor in her tone, enough to make Andy grin like a fool.

"Right, thanks Captain," he said, looking at the foul smelling tea while letting out a pathetic sigh. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her shift, and re-cross her legs. He gulped; she needed to get off of his desk, her proximity to him was almost at the brink of being too much for him to handle.

"Don't you want to know which health benefits green tea is linked to?" she asked softly.

"Erm, sure," he braved another look at her. Her glasses were tucked into the front of her shirt, the slight weight of the frames tugging the silk of her blouse down an inch, affording him a generous view of her beautiful curves.

"Well, it helps prevent cancer, it helps prevent bone-related diseases, it helps with natural weight loss, and it helps promote a healthy heart," she looked at him pointedly and the air between them shifted. "Why didn't you tell me that you were at risk for heart disease?" she asked softly.

"High blood pressure," he amended, "I have high blood pressure, not heart disease," he said defensively.

"High blood pressure can lead to heart disease, heart attacks, and a number of other very serious, possibly fatal health issues," she said firmly.

Andy sighed, and leaned back in his chair, he started tugging on his ear. "Pressure point," he muttered irritably at Sharon's questioning frown.

"You're not required to tell me every single thing that's going on with your health as your superior officer, but as your….friend, it would be nice to know if you're going through a rough time," she said.

"Friend?" he asked carefully, daring to look hopeful.

She arched her eyebrow at him. "Yes," she said. "And if you ever manage to finally knock some sense into that stubborn head of yours, and take your medication, and open up to those around you who care about you, maybe we'll get around to changing that qualifier."

He leaned forward on the desk, his hand rested near enough to her thigh that he could feel the warmth of her skin. "So if I drink the green tea…?"

Sharon laughed. "It's a start. Take your medication, tell us if you need a day off, and don't be ungrateful when those around you fret about you."

Andy grinned. "Yes M'am."

Satisfied with his response, Sharon slid off of his desk. "That's what I like to hear Lt."

As she sauntered away back to her office, Andy allowed his mind to wander as to the hows and whens they might change that qualifier. "Yes M'am," he muttered to himself, with an obviously pleased grin plastered on his face.
