this is the shortest chapter i've ever written -.-
but i felt like it needed its one chapter. any way, sorry i havn't updated in so long but i had a writers block. still do, which is why this chapter sucks so much
but enjoy
"Percy?"
"Annabeth." My legs started moving. Pushing people out of the way, a smile plastered on my face. I ran faster barely touching the marble floors. Everything around us just seemed to melt away. I stretched my arms out, only a foot away from her.
Our bodies collided as she said my name. "I missed you. I thought you would never come back. I was so lost without you there." she rambled on about all her emotions she felt. I could only focus on her. I didn't hear the whispers or the cat calls. I only heard her.
Her sweet voice.
Her soft hair.
Her muscular body on mine.
Her scent of new books.
It intoxicated me. Pulling me into her, making me want to touch her even more. I felt my heart pulse fiercely.
Death
The sudden word reminded me of my power. Of the consequences of overflow of emotion. I pulled away from her embrace.
"I missed you so much." I leaned in and planted a soft kiss on her lips. Then whispered in her ear, "We need to catch up later." she nodded and turned to our other friends. They came rushing forward.
I talked with them for hours before Chiron told us we had to go to bed. They left upset, but I stopped Annabeth on her way out.
"I missed you." I said in a weak voice. Tears prickled my eyes. "I missed you." I grab her wrist and pulled her onto my bed. "I missed you." I brushed her stray locks away from her face. "I missed you."
I leaned down and kissed her. Her soft lips fit perfectly against mine, pressing and pulling. Her hands roamed my back, slipping up and down my lean muscles. My lips moved down to her neck as I pulled her top off. I ran my hands down her abdomen.
My eyebrows furrowed, something seemed off, like barely noticeable ridges all along her body.
She immediately pushed me of her, and crawled to the end of my bed, using her shirt to hide her body.
"Annabeth? What's wrong?" I asked, reaching my hand out to her. She flinched away. "Annabeth?" My mind was reeling. Why was she flinching away? Did she not love me anymore? All my thoughts stopped as a glistening tear ran down her cheek.
"Oh god, Annabeth, I'm so sorry." I knew I had done something wrong. "I'm sorry I touched you like that. I should have considered your feelings!" I was panicking.
Control it, Percy, Chaos voice spoke.
I can't! My girlfriend is crying because of me!
There goes a ring around Saturn, Chaos sighed.
SHUT UP!
"It's not you." she spoke quietly. My head snapped up to the sound of her voice.
"What?"
She took off the shirt pressed against her body. In the barely lit room I could barely see the scars. My fingers traced all of them. I was entranced. What had caused her to do this?
"You cut." I stated. Tears trickled down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry." she said. "I didn't want you to find out." I stayed silent.
"Why did you do it?" I finally spoke my eyes gazing into hers.
"Because I had control." I gave her a questioning look. "After you died, nothing ever went according to my plans. I couldn't predict the result of anything, and it killed me. But when I cut, I have control of everything. Where I get my scars, when I make them. How deep they are. For once, everything was according to my plan. And I loved it."
"I'm sorry." I said. "If I had just been there, you wouldn't have done this."
"The past doesn't matter, we need to look toward the future. Our future."
well that was intense
