A/N I decided to restart this story without the POV's. I like writing without them so I just switched it all up. New chapters will be coming soon so keep your eyes open for them!
Chapter 1: Here we go...
Dipper was adventuring in the forest with journal 3 in his grasp. It wasn't a very busy day in the gift shop, and everyone was pretty bored. This gave Dipper the perfect opportunity to set out and uncover some mysteries of Gravity Falls.
The air was crisp, as was the grass underneath his feet. Dipper was surrounded in complete silence. The only noises were the leaves rustling from the breeze and the crunches each step he took. Everything was going smoothly until an indescribable pain shot up Dipper's leg. "Ah! What the-" The young boy glanced down only to see a weird purple and red snake clinging to the flesh of his leg.
"Snake! Ow ow!" Dipper screamed while trying to shake it off. A dizzy sensation rose up into his head as the peculiar snake finally let go. Right away, the boy's vision began to get cloudy. 'What the heck was that. Oh man, I better get back to the shack!' Dipper thought in his head as he tried his best to run back to the Mystery Shack.
'What kind of snake was that? Was it poisonous? Was it even a snake? Of course it was. In Gravity Falls, anything could happen. I need to get the bite checked out.' The Shack finally came to view while the poor boy limped as quickly as he possibly could. Mabel, Soos, Wendy and Stan were outside so he wasted no time and approached them.
"Guys! Guys! I think I just got bitten by a snake! I need you to get me to a hospital quuuuick!" Dipper panicked as all of them gave him long stares. Grunkle Stan broke the silence by laughing. "What? What's so funny?"
"Sorry it's just hard to focus on what you're saying with that squeaky puberty voice you got there." He said. "My what?" Dipper wondered as he continued to rub his sore leg. "It's nothing to be ashamed of Dipper. Your voice is hilarious!" Mabel mocked making her voice sound like it's cracking.
"You're saying my voice cracks? My voice doesn't crack!" The boy defended myself. "No offence but it cracks so much we made a techno remix out of it." Soos spoke up holding a voice recorder. He pressed it and it played 'Nice to meet you, my name's Dipper Pines. Ppp-Pines Pines Pines. Nice to meet you, Ppp-Pines Pines Pines.' "Do I really sound like that?" Dipper asked with his face slowly turning red from embarrassment.
"Oh here comes my favourite part!" Wendy exclaimed. 'Stop it Guyyyyysss!' it played. Everyone started laughing. Sick of all the mocking, the boy grabbed the voice recorder out of Soos' hand and stormed off into the Shack. As he entered the Shack everyone yelled "Spin the pig!" Ignoring the fact that the snake bite could be really serious.
Dipper walked up into the attic and laid down on his bed. With hesitation, he took a look at the bite and it was...green?...Dipper poked it slowly... "Ow!" he winced putting his leg back down as his vision began to get blurry again.
Groaning, Dipper closed my eyes and tried to go to sleep. Sleep was nearly impossible with all the raging pain and giant headache that he was experiencing. Defeated, the poor boy curled up in a tight ball thinking that it will sooth the throbbing pain. It didn't take long until Mabel skipped up the stairs. "Sorry Dipper! I didn't think you would get that defensive!" Mabel apologized as her voice boomed inside Dipper's head.
"Ughhh could you keep it down Mabel? Please." Dipper groaned weakly with a scrunched up face. "Oh um, I just wanted to apologize." Her brother always took jokes too seriously. One way or another Mabel would start to feel bad. She jus wanted to make it clear that she was saying sorry.
"Erm, okay." Dipper winced again from the seething pain as he buried deeper under his covers. "Soooo...how's it going? How's the...snake bite?" Silence greeted the girl as her brother didn't answer back. "Dipper..." Mabel approached her brother slowly and then withdraw the covers back.
Dipper quietly hissed and faced his sister, unable to handle the brightness in the room. Mabel gasped at the sight she was seeing. Dipper's eyes were purple. They. Were. Purple. "Hehe..um...nice contacts you got there. You sure fooled me..." Mabel uneasily laughed as Dipper got up and ran into a corner without a word.
"Dipper?..." She asked shaking uncontrollably. He then fell down and got back up like he was a baby learning how to walk. "Is this some kind of joke Dipper? The bite and everything? If it is, it's not funny so stop." Mabel said with a frown. He was acting strange, and it was really starting to agitate her. A glimpse of the bite caught Mabel's eye as she gasped. "Dipper! That doesn't look good at all!" Eyes wide, she grabbed Journal 3 for answers.
He did say he was bitten by one. The bite mark proves it as well. Mabel flipped through the pages trying to find a page about a snake of some sort all while trying to not look at Dipper in the eyes. They were creeping her out a lot. Finally she flipped to a page with some sort of red and purple snake on it . "The Woodstone Hisser." Weird name. "If bitten by this Red and Purple Snake, you may get side effects such as Nausea, Dizziness and or blurry sight, mood swings, feeling really itchy, random black outs, and random cravings. The weird thing about this snake is that it hisses like a cat. Hissing scares predators which gives the WoodStone Hisser an advantage to flee. If bitten, the only cure to this is..."
The rest of the page was ripped out which made Mabel frown in dismay. The only way she could cure brother...was to find the missing piece. Find it before Dipper gets any worse.
